  1. Have the ability on the fund level to set the spending policy start distribution date. Just as you can set an Admin fee start date have the ability to start a distribution date so that a fund can have enough investment income to distribute based on a spend policy.

9/16/2024:Distributions: Enhanced distributions to look at the distribution start date on the fund record. If the distribution start date is beyond the create date, the fund will not be processed.

Funds: Added a Distribution Start date to the funds settings<distribution table. This will allow users set the distribution start date when creating a fund. Distribution start date is also available in Funds Bulk edit.

  2. I would like the ability to assess/calculate fees based on certain asset accounts rather than total assets, similar to how distributions can be calculated on bank/investment balances.

We have a fund that has a large land holding in addition to endowed investments that we'd like to exclude from the fee calculation.

  3. The new "Admin Fee Start Date" field does not seem to be included in the fields for custom reports. Please add it. we want to run reports to see if all new funds have a start date, verify the start date, etc.

  4. It would be helpful to have the "Add Note" option on Admin Fee - Fund Fee Types. We have some unusual fees that are specific to certain funds and/or situations and it would be nice to be able to spell that out more clearly on the Fund Fee Type itself.

5/22/2023: Admin Fee: The following enhancements are now available for Admin Fees: the ability to set funds in bulk to an admin fee type, an option to add a note to an admin fee, and on manual admin fees, the ability to select the receiving fund and accounts. The ability to create a manual admin fee is now an option in the left hand menu on the admin fee page.

Also enhanced the fund record’s Admin fee section to have a start date field.  This start date can be used to enter a starting date to begin processing admin fees on a fund. The start date will look at the admin fees posting date. For example, if the fund’s admin fee start date is set to 1/1 and admin fee posting date is 12/31, it will not charge that fund for that admin fee.

  5. When assessing a manual admin fee on a fund, it would be helpful to have the option to choose an expense account other than the default admin fee account. For our organization, we have two admin fee expense accounts. One of these is set as the default and is often the one we want to use, but it would be helpful to have the option to specify the other account in some situations.

Our current workarounds are: (a) process the admin fee and correct via journal entry or (b) edit the default account prior to processing the admin fee, process…

  6. We would like a tiered admin fee for donations to non-endowed funds. For instance, for Fiscal Sponsorships, we charge 10% admin fee for the first $25k of a donation, and 5% for the balance. As it is we have to 'refund' the difference for gifts over $25k.

  7. Admin Fee function - went to calculate 3/31/22 fees today and hit print page and had to minimize the font to 65% to get all columns to fit. The text used to be wrapped in the Account and Description fields. Can we go back to this? otherwise the font is so small to read.

  8. Please reinstate the ability to have a zero amount admin fee. We use them to monitor funds for which no fee is charged, such as internal funds and special projects. Having them in a specific fee type allows us to review them quarterly for changes in status. It also assures someone looking at the fund that assigning a fee code wasn't just forgotten. Thank you!

  9. Would like to see an option for a maximum admin fee. We would like to limit the amount that our over $1million sized funds pay and right now we have to do that manually.

  10. Oftentimes when creating a new fund, we won't want to charge an admin fee for the first quarter after the fund is initially set up. However, there is no option to choose when to begin charging an admin fee for a new fund. Currently, we either have to leave off the admin fee of the new fund and remember to return after charging the quarter's admin fees to add a fee code or we have to go ahead and add the admin fee on the new fund at setup and remember to review the list of new funds before charging…
