Donor portal tab permissions
I appreciate the bulk tab edit options. Is there a way to assign a tab for fund groups (instead of all funds)? For example, we'd like to remove the grant request tab from scholarship fund holders. Thanks!

Set Grant Advisor - Deceased Donor Show
When you go to set the grant advisor within a grant, because you cannot select ONLY those who are associated with the fund, please show if the profile is deceased.

Donor Portal - Tally grants & stop when they've reached spendable balance
In the donor portal, the grants fund advisors are making should be tallied and compared to their spendable/available balance. Once they've reached their spendable/available balance they should not be able to grant anymore. This will reduce back-end work in Csuite and will eliminate the need to contact the fund advisor to let them know they've overspent and to determine which grant(s) should be adjusted.

Filtering interfund grants out of grant reports
Our Foundation is concerned that including interfund grants in our total grant amounts artificially inflates the numbers because the same money counts as a grant both going between funds and again when it's granted out. It would be great if there were a filter option so we could easily filter out interfund grants when we pull grant reports.

Nesting Custom Reports under Categories
I've been creating a lot Custom Reports now that we have the tool and I can very quickly see these lists getting difficult to manage for staff if they have to start scrolling through a long long list. Can you organize the reports we create into dropdowns from the main categories?
It would also be nice if the entire main menu was grouped by function ie. Financial, Profile, Granting that we could also dropdown from.
14 votes5/3/2023: Custom Reports: Enhanced Custom Reports to now have a Save As option. This will allow clients to start with a report and make changes without losing that report. When saving a report, clients will now see a description field. This field can use this to create a description of the report which will be visible in the custom report list. In addition, there is now a new column for the creation date of the report. This will allow a User to identify when the report was created. A relative week date filter has been added. Selecting this filter will return data based on a Monday-Sunday week.
Enhanced Custom Reports to now have an option to view only the reports created and shared by or with the user. Creating categories will give a User the ability to create a new categorized list of the custom and default reports. Clients will…

Default Grant Fields
Service Area, Grant Type (for which we use NTEE codes), and Grant Advisor must be entered for every grant. It would be helpful if the Service Area and Grant Type were default based on the profile of the grantee, and the Grant Advisor were default based on the fund.

pending grants and spendable amount
Spendable amount should reflect the pending grant subtracted out. If the grant is pending it is committed. Right now you have to manually do the math from Pending grants and Spendable amount.

Make the Gift and Grant Notify editable templates
When you select Gift and/or Grant Notify from the portal, the auto message is not editable and does not look like it's actually coming from our Foundation. It would be helpful to make this an editable template.

Toggle On/Off Charity Check
For organizations that do not use a charity check, it would be extremely helpful to be able to toggle OFF this feature, or at the very least have a 'bulk charity check' option. Majority of our grants are to students/individuals --- not charities, so having to individually click each record is tedious

Grant Catalog Search Function
It would be so nice to have a search bar at the top of the Grant Catalog so donors looking for a specific charity instead of scrolling thru dozens they can type in and the one they are looking for will pop up???!! PLEASE!!!! Thanks!

Grant Date locked after Approval
We have a desire for the grant date and several other grant fields to be locked down after the grant is approved. We are hoping the grant date reflects the General Ledger posting date, so a listing of grants by date can always tie to the general ledger. Currently, the grant date and other financially oriented fields can be modified without requiring the grant to be unposted or unapproved. Email Grant Letter
We would appreciate have the ability to notify grantees of their grants via email, rather than copy and paste from the template and sending our own emails to grantees. On the gifts side we can send an email to the gift giver. However, why can't we send an email to to the grantee in the same way as we can with the gifts. Thanks!

A field where we can indicate the check mail date
We are frequently asked whether a cheque has been mailed. It would be helpful to have a "cheque mailed date" option in the grant page info that could be referred to easily. Often the cheque production date is different than the mail date. Thanks!

Add an option to "select" grants for a mass "approve," instead of "approve all"
It would be wonderful if you could either have a check box or radial button next to each grant that needs to be approved, and then the grant approver could select the grants they would like to approve, and do a mass approve at one time. Right now there is only an option to "approve all," or you have to click on each individual grant.
An example of how this would be helpful:

Dormant DAF Report (funds that have not granted in a number of years)
As a community foundation, I need a way to report funds that have not granted over a span of years. Many CF's have policies that protect against funds that have gone dormant. I need a list of funds, the advisors on that funds, and the grants that have gone out from that fund YOY.

Add the ability to assign permission to a grant group to delete grants that are NOT yet posted AND to give grant group ability to bypass Charity Check if needed (ie: an expenditure responsibility grant)

Option to print Grant letters from Grant Record rather than Check record
Please consider allowing users to print the Grant letters from the Grant Record rather than the Check Record. In Permissions, anyone who can see grant checks can see all checks, including payroll checks.
Perhaps you could add an option from the grant payment schedule line to reprint the grant letter. It could be placed between checkid and checkdate.
39 votesTemplates for Grant & Scholarship Letters: Moved the processing of Grant & Scholarship letters from the check area. This will allow program staff the ability to create grant and scholarship letters separate from the creation of checks. There is now a documents bucket in grants and scholarships. Letters will still be grouped by check batch so that clients can easily print or email letters in bulk. If the check batch is unposted, it will remove the batch from the documents bucket. If clients, recreate a check both letters will attach to the grant/scholarship. When emailing grant/scholarship letters, the email address will pull from the primary email on the profile. The grant and scholarship letters will now attach to the grant or scholarship record once produced.

Check numbers for Grant Letters
Currently when you print a check, there is a pop up box that gives you an option to print the grant letter and post the check number. If you select to print the grant letter, it will not list the check number because you have not posted it yet.
It would be great if you had the option to post the check, then print the grant letter without having to go back into the check.

grant catalog
In the Grant Catalog, after a donor enters a donation to one non-profit, it jumps back up to the top of the list and they have to scroll back down to where they were to continue looking at the non-profits. It is wonderful when donors want to donate to several but we have been told by donors that this is very aggravating.
