  1. We have a multi-upload field with media library enabled. That field can only accept images and videos, not documents. Please allow us the ability to accept more file types, including documents, to fields of this type.

We'd like to use the status group names in the status indicator on L1 for internal users, but we don't want the group name to show to those users across the system in all list views, etc. - there are other places where they need to see the granularity. The use case for the status group name in the status indicator is to get a quick, high-level understanding of the phase of our process the record is in. In list views, etc. the same users typically need to see the exact status more granularly in other places for different reasons.

  4. Allow Search results let the user select one or more records and click a "Pivot" option to show a listview of L1, L2, and/or CRM records that have a connection to the selected items.

    Use Case:
    I want to know about funded projects completed by some (not all) of the organizations from Region 5 that use fiscal sponsors. So I filter for organizations in Region 5 of types "Charitable" and "Non-profit Using Fiscal Sponsor", and get 19 results, of which 6 organizations are of interest.

  5. For your AI Vision tool, it would be game changing for us if we could use it on PDF documents and even Excels. We require our applicants to upload bank letters which then go through a manual review to ensure that it contains all necessary information. AI Vision perhaps could be used to ensure an account number is present, address, swift code, etc. Similarly, a budget as an Excel contains line items that might be unallowable per our policy. Maybe AI Vision could be used to help detect unallowable line items.

  7. When running a report on an Organization Profile with address book enabled, it seems that it is only possible for the report to return one address (the one designated as primary).

    In our configuration we have allowed users to enter 1 record for each address type: Mailing and Physical. The idea is that they might have a physical location but prefer to get mail at a PO Box, for instance.

    Only the Mailing Address fields show up when a report is run with the Company dataset. It would be great to somehow get a report to display each address type…

  11. It would be nice to have a single place to manage all translations: User Roles, Types, Status, Standard Fields, Custom fields, Submit Buttons, Tasks, List Views, Portals, Shortcuts...
    1) See, per language, existing translations and which translations are missing
    2) Batch delete of translations
    3) Export, per language, all translations in a single Excel file, reimport the same file with updated translations

  12. Email Anything uses UUIDs --- which work well for emails that originate from SmartSimple, but require an extra step to go find UUID if you're trying to route an email to a SmartSimple object for storage/recordkeeping.

    We'd love to see a UUID aliasing solution in the product roadmap. The biggest use case is for external users who are corresponding with staff based on an known, common attribute of the L1 application record (e.g. application ID). If they could add something like [client]-[opp]-[recordid]@smartsimple.com to the email thread as an alias for the L1 record of interest, it'd be a lot easier…

  13. More options for colour coding

    We would like to see expanded options for colour coding in the system. For example, it would be helpful to colour code each project’s overall risk assessment in the list view — using red for high risk, amber for medium, and green for low.

    As an alternative (or complement), a traffic light–style visual indicator could be added to improve quick scanning and enhance usability.

  15. We would like to allow certain system roles to have the ability to copy profile, which we are able to do. However, after clicking Copy Profile, the pop-up window shows a section called 'Items to Copy', where the user can modify other elements they should not have access to edit including Status. Ideally, they could only see the 'Copy Profiles' dropdown and select the profile where we have defined the fields and elements that will copy over.

  16. We would like to be able to create role filters for contact association listviews in the submission manager. This capability is already available for global contact listviews, and we believe it would be useful to build custom filter settings to make grant contacts easier to navigate. E.g., a list of all reviewers assigned to a grant, communications contacts, etc. This would enable staff members to open a list of contacts and immediately parse the individuals with whom they'd like to interact directly without navigating through several other names.

  17. All grantees are required to complete an application for every grant, regardless of how it is initiated. Need to be able to send grant requests that start in the donor portal in CommunitySuite into SmartSimple in a pre-approval status so that applicants can complete an application.

Currently, when a system is configured with a concurrent user limit to maintain optimal performance, users attempting to log in during peak usage receive a message indicating high traffic and are asked to try again later. However, users have no visibility into when they might be able to log in, as they cannot tell when others have logged out.

    To improve this experience, we propose implementing a queue system like those used by ticketing platforms or high-traffic websites. This would allow users to:

  20. When using a L2 list view, you can search for one ID but not multiple. The ID field does not appear as a selection in the dropdown. It would be great to use an or (or in() ) statement and enter many id's. The reason for this in a list view and not a report is due to the ability to bulk download attachments.
