For custom fields, the unique field ID is surfaced. You can navigate to Global Settings > Custom Fields to locate the field. When you open it, the breadcrumb will show where it is located.
Being able to see the name of the field, task, or settings page as suggested would be helpful.
An alternative, we could also consider would be adding a button that lets you jump directly to the change in the system, providing full context for where the update occurred and allowing you to easily see how that item is configured.

We plan to review pagination, search, and filtering capabilities within the T2P tool. If versioning is not being promoted, it should be reported as a defect to support.

Good suggestion, we are targeting some improvements around list view management, this could be considered as the next phase.

As part of a larger discussion on Report Builder improvements, we have linked this for consideration.

One other suggestion for multi-environment clients. Introduce personal reports that don't get overridden by a T2P from lower environment. This would be similar to the personal list views (that don't get overridden by T2Ps)
It is overly complicated to build a report on a lower environment and configure a T2P to run the report on prod. The only alternative is to build the report twice

We see the value and need to provide a way for customers to have a documented view of their system. We will monitor to see how much others are interested.

The "jump to" approach sounds nice. The custom fields are easy to search. Section references within xml tables, portal elements, workflow connections are all/impossible to search. Level 2 and level 3 statuses and save/submit buttons are also difficult because you need to search across multiple UTAs.
On the import side, you can see the field values / names / labels depending on the type of field/element. But it would be good to have that level of detail on the export side
