Rules for Questions (beyond character limits)
It would be cool to have the option of certain "rules" for form questions.
For example, if the max dollar amount that an applicant can request for a grant is $2,000 set up a rule for the question that values above $2,000 will get an error message or not permit an applicant to complete that question.
Right now character limits and instructions are the best way to achieve that, but some applicants still bypass the instructions so a "rule" for a number range limit would be a great addition.

Organization Relationship Field
Add a field so that history between the non-profit and the foundation can be recorded for future generations of board members to the foundation. The field would be an internal field to be recorded by the foundation and not viewable by the non-profit. This relationship field could then be pulled into the printed/online proposals as a merge field for educational purposes. For example, we helped start this non-profit back in 1975!

Administrator Comments Viewable to Collaborators
It would be extremely helpful to have visible to applicant administrator comments in follow up forms also visible to the collaborators who are editing and submitting those forms as well.7 votes -
We are having issues with syncing grants and scholarships.
I wish syncing were not based on EXACT matches. For example, if an applicant puts Minnesota instead of MN it will NOT sync over. Couldn't a drop box listing states be created for applicants to eliminate this issue?

Third Party Reminders
It would be beneficial to send an email reminder to Third Parties when it is close to the deadline. This would be an additional help to students and to make sure that they have all of the required documents for their application.

batch checkbox at bottom and top of page please
Hi there!
Please add a "select all" checkbox at the bottom of the application display list. There is currently only a "select all" box at the top of the list, but the button with Batch options is at the bottom of the list. So I always end up scrolling all the way down to do a batch operation only to remember that I needed to scroll all the way back up to the top to select all the applications before I scroll all the way back down to do the batch operation.I recognize that this is totally #firstworldproblems but…

State Abbreviations
When syncing grantees from GLM in CSuite, we get an error when an organization spells out their State name in their organizational address instead of using the 2 letter abbreviation required in CSuite. The entries into the State should be limited to 2 characters, or add a note in the field description that indicates that they should use the abbreviation. This would save a lot of time and frustration when processing grants in CSuite.

Run Charity Check as part of registration process or when an application is submitted
Applicants who are registering new organizations are almost always applying to a currently open competitive grant program. It would save a lot of time for our due diligence if the Charity Check data was collected at the time the organization record is completed.
Updating Charity Check information for an organization automatically when an application is submitted would also be helpful in reducing the number of steps to process a grant.

Additional Custom Columns in Application Views
The ability to add more than two custom columns to views like the Draft Application view. Two columns is very limiting. I could get by with three, but I'm currently missing info I need for sorting and analyzing.

Budget for a process would allow multiple funds instead of a single amount
Current state: The budget field for a process only allows for a single value.
Desired: In the case where a program is funded by multiple sources, it would be great to be able to add each source. In assigning awards, the grants manager would be able to draw from the funds that match up with the request topic area.
Example: our eight Medical Funds area of interest funds support a different research area or health care for low income children. Each fund has a different donor intent and the funds need to be applied in a way that aligns with…

Flexibility in Organizing Shared Documents
I just attempted to organize my org's shared documents, but I found out there's no way to move files to a new folder, so I would have to delete and re-upload if I wanted to organize. I think more flexibility, especially moving to folders, would be helpful.

Standard Starter Guide/SOP
There should a simple beginner's guide to using FOUNDANT.
Using Google Suite for instance. Customers are the people using the software and it should be user-friendly. We do not work for FOUNDANT it works for us. Customers should not have to create their own SOP's because the program is that complex.1 voteThanks for your time in the idea lab.

In the reviewer dashboard, put some sort of column heading over the exclamation point to signify that they must click there to access/fill out the form. Many of our reviewers did not watch the provided video tutorial and were only clicking the project link to view only form.

add upload button to installment payment area
It would be great to be able to upload a copy of the check (or other payment document) at the time of installment payment. Currently, the only area to upload payment copies is in the Documents section on the request.

New Managers Assigned to All Processes by Default
In both SLM and GLM, this is the same. In setting up a new Manager account for one process, I have to go through EVERY process – ARCHIVED as well as current – in order to remove the new Manager user from each process view. As we archive processes annually and create new, this is VERY tedious to have to exclude all Managers.
It would be SO much simpler if the default for a new Manager in Assign User would be NO PROCESSES rather than ALL PROCESSES.
Having to touch every process for one new manager account is exhausting and…

Allow evaluations to be shared between a select number of evaluators in a given process
This would not be between ALL evaluators in a process and would be automatic so that grant administrators would not have to download evaluations and reupload to shared documents.

digital signature
It would be nice to have a field to include in follow-up form for digital signatures. I have copyright forms that require a signature so to be able to create a follow-up form for the PI and they obtain all the signatures would be a great enhancement to my program, and to the Foundant system.

SLM Toggles
When turning these on or off, each time you select one, it takes you back to the top each time rather than just letting you continue on where you are at. Very time consuming when you have a lot of committees etc.
