  1. It would be nice to have a small area to have custom notices that can be updated as necessary. For example: Welcome to our ePortal. Data Collection Tool Form assignments have been delayed. Please check back soon.

    I've got grantees looking for a form that hasn't been sent yet. This would help with communication!

  2. It would be great to have the option to convert every blank in a column to zeros. Foundant datasets will not let me use formulas on a set of cells if one cell in that row is blank. Many of these cells will often be optional, and we don't require grantees or staff to fill it out of the answer is 0, but we would like the reporting system to register it as a 0.

  3. It would be great to have an easy way to see the total amount and number of grants awarded to an organization. We would use this in our board ballot and for our evaluation process. At this point, it is a long process to either run a report or calculate by hand and we get asked about this fairly often during grant review.

  4. It would be helpful to have the applicant's/student's name appear in the "third party response" form. Currently, it only shows the "school name" and the "process name". Having the applicant name would help third parties keep track of the response they are currently working on.

  5. I would like to see Project End Date added as a Merge Field - possibly under Request.
    In GLM, we ask applicants to provide a Project Start Date and Project End Date to their application so we can see how long they expect their project to last (and that it begins after our award date.)
    I would like to add Project End Date as a merge field in the Follow Up- Grant Report email template.such as : "project" was expected to end "project due date". Your grant report is due xx days following the end of your project.

  6. Our grants committee would like to be able to see when an organization's next report is due. Being able to include a merge field for next due date for follow-up reports would be really helpful.

    I am currently running reports with Due Date (Follow Ups) as one of my data fields, then determining the next closest date, then manually adding to the summary. Am I missing an easier option? (GLM staff - see Focus Grant Summary merge template for an example.)

  7. When we have applicants upload docs, they do not automatically appear in the Documents tab. Why is this? We now have to go back and open the form (LOI, application, f/u, etc) where the file upload question is to find the uploaded file. It should automatically get dumped into the documents tab for that request.

  8. Currently the default for assigning processes for new users designated as Grants Managers is for them to be assigned to every Available Process. The inverse would be preferable, where new Grants Managers are assigned to no processes just like all non-administrative accounts are.

  9. The system does not notify me when the next payment is due and I was just wondering if that could be something added as I tend to forget. I thought this would be a nice feature especially for Community Foundation who have multiyear grants/installments throughout many years.

    We also grant some funds in three year cycles as they are smaller funds with highly specific designations. I would love a way to check each grant and what year they are in using the installment form. It would be great just to schedule a reminder for ourselfs.

  10. I have grant managers who are in charge of certain processes. It would be nice to be able to only give them access to their specific process as a grant manager so that I don't have to make them an Administrator.

  11. I would be nice to include a filed that is uploaded in the application in the follow-up form. Especially if that particular file needs to be updated. In my case, so that I don't have to toggle between application and follow-up.

  12. Add other options beside "Cancelled" to Awards Details.

    REFUND - A Refund is a repayment of a sum of money. If an amount is refunded, it doesn't mean that there is a balance owed to the grantee. We should still be able to see the original award, the original amount paid and a zero balance. It would also be helpful to have a comment section so an explanation can be given on why amounts were refunded.
    VOID- In case a check is lost and has to be replaced.

  13. The list of questions available to choose from when adding a Shared Question is very long. Can you add a search bar at the top? and possibly not diplay questions that are ineligible (instead of graying them out) Also, being able to select mulitple questions (as mentioned in an earlier post) would really decrease the build time required for a form.

  14. I would like to see the Applicant Dashboard to look more like the administrator view so that the applicant has more tabs than just active requests and historical requests. I am coming from SLM and we use a universal application but we also have separate processes which looks way less confusing on the administrator side than from the applicant's perspective. The most helpful would be breaking out the Follow Ups and Documents into separate tabs so applicants can see everything that is assigned to them in one place and also view their letters in one place. Right now our award…

  15. I'd love it if all of your text fields, regardless of size, offered a live display of character count to applicants. Right now our application consists of a combination of text boxes and text areas. Unfortunately, the text boxes do not show a character count while the applicant is filling them in so they are forced to guess and test their content over and over. On our application examples of text boxes are: Project Title (limit 80 characters); Project Description (200 characters); List of partnerships & collaborations (250 characters).

  16. Start Date and End Date in the Process Summary are not in our time zone (Pacific time) and are closing 2 hours early for us. Please allow to edit the time zone in the summary so they can match up with the due date/hard deadline

  17. It would be helpful if, when you create an internal form and have internal users for that form, that they are the only ones visible to be assigned. In my haste (yes, my fault) I have assigned an internal form to the applicant because it defaults to them.

  18. It would be helpful to be able to pull and sort evaluators by grant cycle. We have different evaluators for different grant cycles and going through the list of evaluators and assigning can be time consuming.

  19. We have a few foundations that grant multi year grants and they need to fill out a follow-up form each year after they have received and used their payment. It would be great if Foundant had a way to generate a new follow up form for each year.

  20. If an eligibility quiz exists but is turned off, it would be very helpful if it could be distinguished from an application without an eligibility quiz by using a different/new color. That way, when a process is turned on, we know to also turn on its eligibility quiz because we will know that it has one.
