background
Would really like to be able to change our background color in CSuite. The new setting that took place 10/1/2025 is very white & shiny. It's very ******* the eyes. Would love it if we could customize our colors.

org profiles
Change wording from "Link Profile" to "Link Profile/Add Org Role" or something similar it's too confusing as currently worded. Or, combine all those various functions together in one location. I keep going to "Edit Org Roles" when I want to create a new Org Role to a different organization.

address validation
I would like to propose a change of the drop-down "ACTION" choices. Instead of the current default "replace with validated address" have the "Do nothing" as the default. This is helpful and will save time because profiles may have old addresses that we dont need to touch. Choosing the "do nothing" as the default will allow us to only click what is needed. Also, change the caps to lower, as someone else suggested, please. Thank you

Profile Engagement Tab - Campaign
It would be helpfuld to list all invited campaigns under the engagement tab of the profile. Currently it only lists active campaigns. We would like a way to see more historical enagament of individuals on their profile.

Enable Address Validation- Remove All CAPS on addresses when using this new feature
When using the new Enable Address Validation feature, the recommended address should not appear in all CAPS. Request this be revised to standard upper and lower case.
25 votes- 5/12/2025:Profiles: Updated the USPS validation to preserve original address casing instead of forcing all-uppercase formatting. This will validate casing and formatting, but it will not correct a wrong address.
- -Things to Note: If a suggested address field matches the original, the original casing will be retained, assuming the user provided it intentionally. If the suggested value differs, the field will be capitalized appropriately to standardize formatting.

Address Validation
It has been a few years since this was posted and archived so I'm trying again. It would be amazing to have a way to standardize/validate addresses and add zip+4 based on how the USPS wants them. There should be the ability to have a valid address suggested and/or option to keep the address as entered.

Credit Card Donation Duplicate Profiles
I am not sure if this is a profiles issue, but when a donor puts in a credit card donation but does not put in the exact name or address as is in the system, a duplicate profile is created. Is there a way for the system to recognize the email address (this does not change) that is put into the system for the donation and acknowledge that it is from the same person who already has a donor profile in Foundant? If this can occur, duplicate profiles can be minimized.
2 votesIn order to reduce the number of duplicates there the following options in Profile>Settings:
- Profile Dedupe - Match Name - If checked, name is used when profiles are being merged or created as the result of online transactions.
- When none of the three Profile Dedupe options are selected, the system uses all three variables when determining if a profile is a duplicate.
- Profile Dedupe - Match Email - If checked, email is used when profiles are being merged or created as the result of online transactions.
- When none of the three Profile Dedupe options are selected, the system uses all three variables when determining if a profile is a duplicate.
- Profile Dedupe - Match Phone - If checked, phone is used when profiles are being merged or created as the result of online transactions.

Search results by profile # and name
When you search for a profile by profile number rather than name, the status of the profile (deceased, closed, inactive) is not displayed in the search results. When you search by last name, the profile status is parenthetically displayed in search results. It would be very helpful if the search returned the same information no matter what is used to search.

Hide an org or grantee profile from fund advisor portal search
Our use case is around scholarship only org profiles showing up for fund advisors to search causing numerous problems and confusion, but there are other applications for this. So, similar to hiding funds, consider adding a checkbox either on a org profile or grantee layer that prevents the profile from being searchable via the fund advisor portal when looking for grantees.
2 votesHere is a link to a help article that explains how to make a vendor record inactive. This can be done in bulk. When a vendor record is inactive and there is a grantee designation on the profile, it is removed from the fund advisor search. You can still create grants to inactive grantee's from the back end. https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/4414050001303-Bulk-Activate-or-Inactivate-Vendors-and-Grantees

Allow Organization roles to be added from any profile/profile type
When the change was made to allow org roles to be linked with organizations and households (4-5-2024) you have to start at the organization you want to link from. It is no longer allowed from an individual to link to an organization. Please put the original ability to link from the individual to the organization back.

Please add profile created date to profile filter reports
The profile "created date" is one of the most important filters - please add so we don't have to use a custom report. This will help us spot dupes quicker!

Ability to tag merge profiles that don't appear in Engagement tab
To my knowledge we can only tag merge profiles that appear in the Engagement tab on a profile. It would be helpful if there was a way to tag two profiles for merging that don't appear in the engagement tab.
We like using the tag merge feature so staff can recommend records to merge so other staff who are assigned that ability can make the determination to do so. Sometimes we find records that we think might be duplicates that don't appear under Engagement which would make this feature helpful.
1 voteIn a profile record, there is a left side menu option titled Merge. After selecting Merge, you will be prompted to search for the profile record that needs to be merged.

Bulk Profile Updates and Note Additions
Similar to a bulk profile import, there should be a function to mass update features of profiles that all need the same update. For example, we recently pulled our 'unsubscribe' list from MailChimp after a universal email campaign and found that 406 people would like to unsubscribe. Currently, this needs to be done manually...going into each profile to select "do not email" and then adding a note as to why we are marking them this way. It would be fantastic to have an option to upload a CSV with a 'command' to mark profiles from the unsubscribe report with an…
13 votesAn option to bulk update was released on 5/29/2024: Here is the release note:
Profiles: Enhanced the Profiles Bulk Update Names report to allow for updating Do Not Mail, Do Not Email, Do No Call, and the No Status Charity Check. No Status Charity check will only apply to Grantee profiles. Relabeled the FED(EIN/SSN) column to FED(EIN).

New User records should default to "Individual" profile types rather than "Organization" profile types
New "User" records should create an associated "Individual" profile type rather than an "Organization" profile type.
Why does adding a new "User" to CSuite create an "Organization" profile type? Our users are people (individuals). Every time we hire new staff we have to manually convert the profile record to an individual type, and then change the profile's "org" name from "John Smith" to "Community Foundation for...". The default should be an individual record type.

Profiles: Updated Profiles to incorporate the user as a designation. This will create a new workflow when creating users. First, a profile will need to be created and then "Make" the new profile a user from the designation list. With this update, if a user is also a fund advisor, the user login information will supersede the fund advisor login information. These changes were necessary to move towards a single sign on. To easily identify profiles of both, users and fund advisors, there is a new left-side menu in Users called Login Duplicates. This will display any profiles that have user logins duplicated. Once the list of duplicates is resolved, the profiles will remove from the list.

Export Gifts from Donor Profile
Be able to export all gifts made by a profile directly from their donor designation. Similar to how gifts to a fund can be exported.

profile type
Is there a way we can select a Profile Type and add profiles to that type instead of having to go into each individual profile, edit and add the Profile type?

Add 'type of profile' in the dropdown that appears when searching for a profile as it would be very helpful to know which profiles are Organizations, Individuals, or Households.

address type field
I wish there was a way to edit the Address Types in CSuite. Our Address Types were imported from FIMS. We need to updated and add some address Types. I have a Profile that has a PO Box for mail but they have a different address for the business location. We didn't have an Address Type for this in FIMS and now we are stuck with old information and no way to label the extra address on the profile with a valid Address Type.
0 votesIf I am understanding the problem correctly, there is an option to add and edit address types. In Profiles, select Profile Types from the left side menu. There is an option in the left side menu to add an address type. You can also select the ID of the address type you would like to edit.

add 'mailing label' as optional fields in Fund Advisor and Profile reports
'Mailing Label' should be an optional field to add to fund advisor and profile reports.
1 voteThere is a label field available in the Fund Advisor Fund and Profile custom reports. That is the field needed to return the mailing label text.
