  1. Separate the "Create Campaign Group" in the security settings for Campaigns to protect the integrity of the Campaign Groups the organization wants to use. The entire Campaign landing menu with the words "Create Campaign..." leads users to click there first. There is no prompt or showing of additional Campaign groups and CSuite allows multiple groups. After having five "Event" campaign groups we had to limit access to the Campaign module and run data reports to make sure we aren't going down that path. Create a new security item for this so we can limit access.

    Released today: Scholarships: Added the ability to import historical scholarships to the scholarships import template. Clients will now have the ability to import historical scholarships into CSuite. We have added the historical column and student_is_grantee column. This column will allow clients to pay the student as the grantee instead of a school. This will be a per payment line import, and will not report on the grants reporting. Clients will also now have the ability to delete historic scholarships, since there is no general ledger impact with historical scholarships.

  3. Create the ability to import historical scholarships rather than going through the convert grants functionality or adjust the convert grants to historic scholarships.

    The ability to import historical scholarships was released on 11/2/22.  Here is the release note:


    Scholarships: Added the ability to import historical scholarships to the scholarships import template. Clients will now have the ability to import historical scholarships into CSuite.   4. We should have the ability to edit the text of the email that is sent with an attached tax receipt for non-online donations just like we can for the automatic email for online donations. Currently it just says "Attached is the receipt for your donation on DATE". Please allow the ability to edit this content so that we can use this feature without recipients thinking it is spam.

  6. Tributes
    The ability to search existing profiles when submitting a name in the box: "Whom to Notify". Currently, when we type a name here, it generates a new profile, even if the individual is already in our system.

  8. It would be great to have the ability to freeze the fund names on the left hand "name" column when bulk editing funds. Currently when you scroll to the right you lose the names of the funds you are trying to edit and it's really difficult to complete edits.

  9. The bank deposit slip does not carry the payee check number. We had hoped to replace our handwritten bank deposit slip with the one from CS since the entry is already done, but need the check numbers and they do not come in.

  10. It would be helpful if the date that prints on the deposit slip is the actual date of the deposit--not the processing date. The correct deposit shows in the transaction detail, but won't print on the deposit slip. Please correct the coding for this!

    This was released on 12/7/2022.  Here is the release note:  


    1099: Enhanced the 1099 reporting by adding a new 1099 menu allowing clients to create 1099 MISC and NEC reports. Clients can export the report for 1099 processing outside of CSuite. The report uses the 1099 code from the account on the paid expense to determine the 1099 designation. We will be removing the e-file functionality from CSuite, since many clients are handling this process when creating 1099 within another system. This now has a new permission.

  12. I would like to be able to set Grant Type, Service Area, and Grant letter template when setting up the beneficiary, so they don't have to be edited every year, since they are likely the same every year.

  13. Currently, we are using the {{vendor_name}} merge field for all grantees on our fund statement template, but this is pulling the student name for scholarships instead of their school name. It would be helpful if there was a different merge field we can use to pull school names for scholarships.

  14. It would be nice to use a bulk edit option to add the minimum fund balance amount to multiple funds at once. For example, add a $10,000 minimum fund balance to all Donor Advised funds at once rather then having to edit each fund individually.

  15. Reports - Tasks - great output but we need the field "created by" so we know who is assigned to each task. Also, on the MY TASKS list page, we need a column for the field "Task Object" (the profile to which the task is linked) otherwise the User/Creator sees the list of tasks but has not idea to whom each task is linked at a glance.

  16. For the grant purpose, the IRS directions say "Don't use general terms, such as charitable, educational, religious, or scientific." Is it at all possible to have the 990 report pull the "Description" field instead of the Grant Types that are very general?

    We typically have to report every single grant to an organization that we give more than $5,000 to because of the specific restrictions/designations on each gift. We would not be able to group them all under one general description which I believe is what the new update on the report would do.

  17. In Canada many foundations put the interest & earnings from the investment pool into a stand-alone equity account as a reserve or capital stabilization account. CSuite can only support 3 defined equity accounts. In order to put this into the account each month it is a manual journal entry from the default fund balance equity account to the 4th equity account. If the system were able to support this 4th equity bucket/account it would allow this process to be more automated; reduce manual intervention & risk for errors.

  18. It would be very beneficial to have the ability to break out donations and investment earnings within a fund statement, in other works allowing subtotals by account type. This would allow fund advisors to easily see the investment returns on their funds without having to manually calculate.

  19. Need an easy way to create envelopes or labels for paper fund statements, preferably in the same order that the statements print to allow easy stuffing. (Currently labels print for every fund rep which isn't useful if only need for fund reps receiving paper statements. To create a mail merge, you have to export all fund reps, delete non paper statements and then use as source for your mail merge however envelopes created are then in order by fund rep and not the fund name so matching them up takes considerable time.)   20. Is there a way to connect a tribute to a profile? If donations are made in memory of someone, shouldn't that also be linked to the deceased's profile? It links to the person who is notified, so why not the deceased. If there isn't a way to link it, is there a way to make that possible?

    8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.

    The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and  have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item.  This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field.  This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.
