  1. We would love to have the option to disable the legacy portal when we enable the New Donor Portal. There are many issues with both of them being live at the same time, including how the content for the Portal maps to both portals. We put detailed instructions for fundholders in the content area and now the Legacy portal is incredibly unprofessional because the instructions are wrong.     • 10/25/2024: Portal Options-Portal Settings: Added a Redirect Legacy Fundadvisor Portal Login option on the Settings table. This will allow organizations the flexibility to work setup of the Portal and redirect the fund advisors to the new login when they are ready to start using the new Portal pages.


  2. It would save time and be more efficient if households could be added to the list of drop-down advisors when creating grant requests. Currently, I have to search the individual profile, at times the fund profile, to see if there's an associated household. Then, I have to copy and paste the name into the search bar or type it in. This can take up considerable time if CSuite is running slowly as usual.

    It would help improve workflow and reduce margin for errors if households could be added to funds as options for grant advisors.

  4. Can you change the Opportunity Stage name "Ignorance" to "Unaware", it is not good for relationship building to use this type of language. Thanks for considering.

    As long as you have edit permissions, you should be able to edit an opportunity type and stages. In Opportunities, select List Types, then select the ID of the opportunity you would like to edit. There is an option in the left side menu to edit the opportunity. This area is also where you can add your own opportunities and stages.

  5. Recently the grant description field was marked as required for the Donor Portal via another IdeaLab. However this is a burden for us and our fundholders (and I imagine some of your other clients too).

    I would love to this the grant description field be a Donor Portal Setting checkbox where the field could be optionally required. This would meet the needs of all of your clients, empowering them to set up the portal in the best way to support their operations.

  6. One of our Fund Advisors had an excellent suggestion. If fund advisors are making several grant requests through the portal at once, she suggested an option to make several grant requests where the fund advisors could see all of the grant requests as they add them with a running total to be able to review them all at once before submitting. This is especially helpful when fund advisors like to do most of their grantmaking once a year and have a spendable that they are wanting to track.   7. In the legacy portal there is an option to adding branding at the fund level so fund advisors see branding that coincides with the Foundation, Affiliate, and/or Supporting Organization the fund is within. This is not possible on Styles with the new Portal.

    We will need this functionality to implement the Portal by April 2025 to ensure all our funds have consistent branding and appropriate entities are recognized.

    In Styles, there is an option for Public Fund Style. That brings up a list of funds for a specific style to be applied to a fund.   8. Within C-Suite templates (grant letter + award letter templates) there is not currently a mergefield for "sponsored org" name, address to come into the letter template. All of our emergency assistance/hardship grants are paid to a sponsored org vendor for the individual grantee. So, we have been manually creating all hardship grant check letters out of the system, since the sponsored org name/address don't have mergefields.

    Important to note that we are not using GLM/SLM for our hardship grant processes. The submission/review for our emergency assistance applications are handled manually and then we bring approved grants into C-Suite to get…

  9. Can we move the Donation Comment text to show on the Portal? These are comments that donors are putting in and they should show up for the fund advisors to see. In order for the fund advisors to see, we have to copy and paste to the description field.

  10. We do not utilize the Pledges portion of CSuite. Currently, we can remove the Pledges left-side menu option from the Fund Advisor tab in the new portal, however, Pledges is not removable from the Donor tab left-side menu. For this reason, we will not be able to utilize the Donor portion of the new portal because we do not want to give our donors the option to create a Pledge. Could the option to hide Pledges from the Donor tab left-side menu please be added?

    Portal-Fund Advisor: Updated the Statements and Files to have sorting capabilities. Updated contribution drill down to only display the primary address and phone number for the donor. Added the ability for Fund Advisors to donate to their private funds from the Giving Hub link in the portal. 


    Portal-Grantee: Added Show Grant Award Letters and Show Grant Letters as a global setting in the Portal Options, Portal settings, Grantee tab. This will allow foundations the ability to show or hide these letters from the Portal. 


    Portal-Fund Advisor Settings: Added the Hide Spendable Balance as an option in the Summary table. If this is set, no funds will show spendable balances on the Portal. This option is also available per fund on the fund record under Fund Advisor Portal Options, Hide Spendable on Portal.

We would be super happy if you could please either add Fund custom codes to the Financials reporting filter or if that doesn't work, please make Financial reports one of the "default" reports so that we can include a custom code filter in our export. Our auditors need to see our "funds" broken down a specific way and we do not want to revamp all of our fund groups.

  12. Currently our donors have charts on their Donor Portal landing page. I can't find an option to enable these for the new Donor Portal. If it's not there, since our donors love these charts, donor satisfaction of this new Donor Portal will be impacted.

  13. Text message two factor authentication needs to be an option outside of email. email is SLOW and not everyone gets it on their phones. Text is main way folks communicate

    8/7/2024:Portal: Updated the login page to incorporate two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced security. When logging in, constituents will now have the option to choose between email or username with password. If two-factor authentication is enabled for their account, they will be directed to the Two-Factor Method page where they can select their preferred method to receive the authentication code: authenticator app, email, or text message. After selecting a method, the constituent will be prompted to enter the received PIN code to complete the login process.

  14. The "Audit Details" option is not available on revenue share entries that are not done through statement vouchers. It would be helpful to have this option on both statement vouchers and other vouchers so that we can see the calculations behind the average daily balance.

    Accounts: Added the Daily Balance Report to each account listed in Accounts. By selecting an account and then using the Daily Balance left-side menu, users can select a date range to view the fund's average daily balance in that account. The date range will need to be for a closed period, and the report will export to a .csv file.

  15. Create a securities report that shows the fund, securities donated and the subsequent sales of each security. This would make it quick and easy to see which funds still have securities from original donations that need to be process through the sell process rather than the a statement voucher that just records the gains and losses.

    9/4/2024: Donations: Enhanced the Public Securities workflow. Added the ability to import of stock on the donation record and sell of stock. Updated the securities table to use commas and six decimals places for Quantity and Unit Cost. Description will auto populate using the stock name and quantity of stock on look up of stock during creation, but not on edit of a security. Users have the option from the left hand menu to Upload file. This will allow for a .csv file with symbol, qty, description, unit_cost. Symbol and quantity are required fields on the import. User can use the csv template on the left hand menu to download the template for importing.

    Public Securities: Added the ability import the sale of securities. Users will enter the sale date and account information. The fund field will auto-populate using the fund from the donation record and accounts. Users will enter…

  16. We need the option to NOT show spendable balance on some funds. This could be as easy as a checkbox on the fund settings - Show Spendable or Not Show Spendable. Discussed this with Chris Sutton at Summit and he stated it would be doable. :)

    This a large pain point for us on our Donor Advised Growth funds which do not have to follow spendable but yet we still calculate it. Therefore, they end up with a large negative spendable balance showing on the portal which causes confusion.

  18. When pulling reports for scholarships, can you add a school/grantee option. This is an option that we have to hand type for all of our scholarships, when we run a report. The school/grantee is needed for our audit and board meetings.

  19. Some fund advisors are frustrated with the multiple steps it takes to submit a grant through the Advisor Portal as, previously, there was no “Grant Cart” holding the unsubmitted grants. Each week, our team is having to monitor the List Carts to ensure that fundholders are not missing the final step “Review and Submit Grant Requests”. We are finding that they are missing this step which then requires us to email the advisor, and the advisor to log back into their account and submit the grant.   20. We are uploading documents to CSUITE for ease of access but we need to follow our record retention policy and need an easy way to sort files, download multiple files, and delete in bulk. It would be great if we had the option to do all those functions based on file categories and dates.
