  1. Currently, online donations via Stripe create a New Profile if the donor enters different data in any of these four fields: First Name, Last Name, Phone, Email. For orgs that receive numerous online gifts, the duplicates can quickly become a nightmare. We suggest the Stripe-CSuite data matching be modified to look for a match on 2 of 3 fields - say, last name, street address or email address, to reduce the number of duplicate profiles.

    Please also:
    - add 'date created', and the ability to sort by date created in the duplicates form
    -devise a bulk de-deduping process

  2. when working in a fund or profile record it would be really helpful if the name was pinned at the top of the screen so that as you scroll down it is easy to see which record you are working in.

    5/3/2023: Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement.  Foundant is excited to take so many of the User submitted ideas from idea lab and make them happen in the software.  Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.

    The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed.  This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns.  With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header.  This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record.   Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well. For easier navigation, the profile name…

  3. When marking someone deceased - the system should automatically mark them and any linked household as do not call, email, or mail. We are spending alot of time updating this.

    Profiles: Enhanced checking the deceased checkbox to have functionality. Now when marking a profile deceased, it will also make the profile inactive, mark the address, emails, phone as inactive, and the designations: vendor, student, and grantee.  Clients will also be able to use bulk update for the deceased field.  (Released May 2024)

  4. When a profile is marked INACTIVE, you should not be able to cut a check or a grant or post a donation. We had a grant check go out in error to an inactive profile. At the very minimum there should be a warning that you are processing on an inactive profile. FIMS did not allow you to have transactions pushed through on an inactive record.

Although the current fund advisor portal element of the C-Suite platform does offer fundholders the opportunity to make grant advisements, the process is not very engaging and the design appears to the user as more of a back-office accounting process, rather than an engaging user experience. This is resulting in limited use by fundholders, resulting in more manual processing in the advisement and accounting work required in approving the advisements and processing the grant payments.   6. It would be nice if recurring donors could login or follow a link in their monthly receipt email that would allow them to edit or cancel their recurring donations instead of having to call our office to make any changes or stop their donations.

  7. A split donation with more than one donation destination is not the same thing as using a profile payment. Donors make gifts, not payments; that's a different process, which requires an invoice, and multiple transactions. We should be able to honor a donor's request to split their gift however they need and keep the records clean.

    This idea is not "implemented."

    Donations:  Added the ability to create a multifund donation when creating a donation from the donations menu.  Clients can create a donation and select “make multifund” from the left hand menu.  This will allow clients to enter more that one fund receiving a portion of this donation. Multifund donations can only be processed for checks, other payment, or stock payment types.  Once the process button is selected, clients will see the profile payment had been created for them. They can then post the donation from payments or use the bulk posting process within donations.  Also added a quick post option next to the individual donations within payments. With this enhancement, the fund has moved up in the donation creating screen just below amount.

  9. 1- Ability to import securities - helpful as some donors contribute 20+ stocks at a time

    2 -Auto complete the description of the security (but field should be able to be edited if needed). The database pulls the high / low information so it should also be able to pull the name of the security

    3 - Keep the securities listed in the order they are entered. For some reason csuite re-orders (in no particular order) the securities after saving the entry making it difficult to review the stock gift entry

    9/4/2024: Donations: Enhanced the Public Securities workflow. Added the ability to import of stock on the donation record and sell of stock. Updated the securities table to use commas and six decimals places for Quantity and Unit Cost. Description will auto populate using the stock name and quantity of stock on look up of stock during creation, but not on edit of a security. Users have the option from the left hand menu to Upload file. This will allow for a .csv file with symbol, qty, description, unit_cost. Symbol and quantity are required fields on the import. User can use the csv template on the left hand menu to download the template for importing.

    Public Securities: Added the ability import the sale of securities. Users will enter the sale date and account information. The fund field will auto-populate using the fund from the donation record and accounts. Users will enter…

  10. When I run custom reports I sometimes would like to apply a filter that covers multiple items. For example, a Zip Code filter that shows multiple zip codes or a fund filter that includes several funds. Unfortunately, the Custom Reporting does not include the same multi-select feature as Filter reports.

    I don't know the backend setup that makes these different, but it is odd that I cannot do the same function in both report types. Unfortunately, filter reports have the multi-filter function but limit the fields I can filter on/include.

  11. Please give us the option to choose an existing profile for a memorial/honor contact INSTEAD of creating a new profile every time. This wastes our time later because we have to merge profiles. Thanks!

    • Profiles: Enhanced the profiles search option to include address, phone numbers, and EIN. Email and phone search has been moved to the main page, instead of left-side menu options. Inactive profiles will now have a red inactive at the end of their profile in the search areas. This will help easily identify if the profile is inactive before selecting the profile.

  13. We appreciate being able to run YOY comparisons, but we would like the ability to do a little more fine-tuning of the dates for comparative purposes. Currently, we can only run a full year comparison (or a full year vs a partial year).

    As an example, what if we wanted to run a YTD report for Q3... and compare that to the same YTD period for the prior year?

    If we try and enter 1/1/2018 - 9/30/2019 and select YOY, we get a report comparing a full year to a partial year. It shows us figures for 1/1/2018 - 12/31/2018…

  14. Desired change: Enhance how organization contact name / address is processed in templates

    Currently: there is not a field that will pull the contact name AND the organization name for our donation letters. Any field I use to include organization name creates a blank space when the donor does not have an organization listed.

    For donation letters I would like to include at the top of each letter:
    Donors Name (Mr. and Mrs. John Smith)
    Organization Name IF APPLICABLE (Food Pantry)
    Street Address (123 Main Street)
    City State Zip (Toledo, OH 43604)

    A person's title would also be ideal but…

  15. We process around 200 scholarships to around 100 students annually. We love the SLM to CSuite integration, but we feel there is a huge oversight regarding assigning the school and student ID. This all has to be captured individually and manually entered into the payment in CSuite. This was quite an arduous process this year. It was easier to upload it into CSuite as we used to be able to do before SLM.

    There was a release on 4/6/22 to implement this for standalone processes ("The School (Payee in SLM) and Student ID will sync between the two systems.") But…

  17. Service Area, Grant Type (for which we use NTEE codes), and Grant Advisor must be entered for every grant. It would be helpful if the Service Area and Grant Type were default based on the profile of the grantee, and the Grant Advisor were default based on the fund.

Coming from Raisers Edge where we had comprehensive options to include / exclude what was merged from the source profile to the target profile, we are finding some gaps for what is included with a profile merge in CSuite. We are finding data that does not come over to the target profile from the source profile which requires additional manual entries to restore all information back to the merged profile.

    Below are the fields that are not being considered in the profile merge based on testing in our Sandbox as of this date (5/23/2023).

    8/13/2024:Profiles: Updated the profile merge fields to now include: Work Title, Legal First Name, Recognition Name, Pronouns, Steward, Engagement Strategy, Anonymous Settings, Inactive Setting, Email Type, Social Security Number, Default Payment Type, Legacy ID, and Tax class. Updated the label for FedID (SSN/EIN) to FedID (EIN).

  19. Hi! It would be helpful to have an easy way to see what a Portal account will look like without having to have the donor set their password already. It is strange to me that as an Admin, I do not have a way to access a donor's portal to answer questions about how it will work for them if they have not set up their own access yet. Admins should be able to log in to any portal account at any time, in my opinion.

    02/14/2024: Fund Advisors: Added the ability for users to Login As a Fund Advisor without the Fund Advisor setting a password. This will allow users to assist and review the view of a Fund Advisors prior to them logging into the Fund Advisor Portal.

  20. Please provide an option to create a WORD document instead of just a pdf of fund statements. All the other templates have the option of creating merged templates in WORD. Creating in WORD will allow us the ability to edit the Fund Statements.
