    • 5/12/2025:Profiles: Updated the USPS validation to preserve original address casing instead of forcing all-uppercase formatting. This will validate casing and formatting, but it will not correct a wrong address.
    • -Things to Note: If a suggested address field matches the original, the original casing will be retained, assuming the user provided it intentionally. If the suggested value differs, the field will be capitalized appropriately to standardize formatting.
  2. It would be helpfuld to list all invited campaigns under the engagement tab of the profile. Currently it only lists active campaigns. We would like a way to see more historical enagament of individuals on their profile.

  3. It has been a few years since this was posted and archived so I'm trying again. It would be amazing to have a way to standardize/validate addresses and add zip+4 based on how the USPS wants them. There should be the ability to have a valid address suggested and/or option to keep the address as entered.

  4. Change wording from "Link Profile" to "Link Profile/Add Org Role" or something similar it's too confusing as currently worded. Or, combine all those various functions together in one location. I keep going to "Edit Org Roles" when I want to create a new Org Role to a different organization.

  5. I would like to propose a change of the drop-down "ACTION" choices. Instead of the current default "replace with validated address" have the "Do nothing" as the default. This is helpful and will save time because profiles may have old addresses that we dont need to touch. Choosing the "do nothing" as the default will allow us to only click what is needed. Also, change the caps to lower, as someone else suggested, please. Thank you

  6. When you search for a profile by profile number rather than name, the status of the profile (deceased, closed, inactive) is not displayed in the search results. When you search by last name, the profile status is parenthetically displayed in search results. It would be very helpful if the search returned the same information no matter what is used to search.

  7. I am not sure if this is a profiles issue, but when a donor puts in a credit card donation but does not put in the exact name or address as is in the system, a duplicate profile is created. Is there a way for the system to recognize the email address (this does not change) that is put into the system for the donation and acknowledge that it is from the same person who already has a donor profile in Foundant? If this can occur, duplicate profiles can be minimized.

In order to reduce the number of duplicates there the following options in Profile>Settings:

    • Profile Dedupe - Match Name - If checked, name is used when profiles are being merged or created as the result of online transactions.
    • When none of the three Profile Dedupe options are selected, the system uses all three variables when determining if a profile is a duplicate.
    • Profile Dedupe - Match Email - If checked, email is used when profiles are being merged or created as the result of online transactions.
    • When none of the three Profile Dedupe options are selected, the system uses all three variables when determining if a profile is a duplicate.
    • Profile Dedupe - Match Phone - If checked, phone is used when profiles are being merged or created as the result of online transactions.

  8. When the change was made to allow org roles to be linked with organizations and households (4-5-2024) you have to start at the organization you want to link from. It is no longer allowed from an individual to link to an organization. Please put the original ability to link from the individual to the organization back.

  9. Coming from Raisers Edge where we had comprehensive options to include / exclude what was merged from the source profile to the target profile, we are finding some gaps for what is included with a profile merge in CSuite. We are finding data that does not come over to the target profile from the source profile which requires additional manual entries to restore all information back to the merged profile.

Below are the fields that are not being considered in the profile merge based on testing in our Sandbox as of this date (5/23/2023).

8/13/2024:Profiles: Updated the profile merge fields to now include: Work Title, Legal First Name, Recognition Name, Pronouns, Steward, Engagement Strategy, Anonymous Settings, Inactive Setting, Email Type, Social Security Number, Default Payment Type, Legacy ID, and Tax class. Updated the label for FedID (SSN/EIN) to FedID (EIN).

  10. Similar to a bulk profile import, there should be a function to mass update features of profiles that all need the same update. For example, we recently pulled our 'unsubscribe' list from MailChimp after a universal email campaign and found that 406 people would like to unsubscribe. Currently, this needs to be done manually...going into each profile to select "do not email" and then adding a note as to why we are marking them this way. It would be fantastic to have an option to upload a CSV with a 'command' to mark profiles from the unsubscribe report with an…

An option to bulk update was released on 5/29/2024:  Here is the release note:

Profiles: Enhanced the Profiles Bulk Update Names report to allow for updating Do Not Mail, Do Not Email, Do No Call, and the No Status Charity Check. No Status Charity check will only apply to Grantee profiles. Relabeled the FED(EIN/SSN) column to FED(EIN).

  11. Was curious if all fields in the profile area can be tracked for changes? Noticed today that linking two profiles together or unlinking has no audit log tracking. Appears the website field of a profile also is not tracked for changes. Hoping all the fields can be tracked for changes so we can know who/what/when data was changed!

Profiles: Adding logging on Profiles for Profile types, Philanthropic Interest Area, Link Profile (Org Roles/Profile Links), Link Fund (linking a Profile to a Fund via Profile Fund Category, Accounts Advised.

  12. Add 'type of profile' in the dropdown that appears when searching for a profile as it would be very helpful to know which profiles are Organizations, Individuals, or Households.

  13. When marking someone deceased - the system should automatically mark them and any linked household as do not call, email, or mail. We are spending alot of time updating this.

Profiles: Enhanced checking the deceased checkbox to have functionality. Now when marking a profile deceased, it will also make the profile inactive, mark the address, emails, phone as inactive, and the designations: vendor, student, and grantee.  Clients will also be able to use bulk update for the deceased field.  (Released May 2024)

  14. The profile "created date" is one of the most important filters - please add so we don't have to use a custom report. This will help us spot dupes quicker!

  15. In the new changes to sandbox for profiles. Wish that when you are looking at a household - you can see the list of household members closer to the top of the screen. You have to do a lot of scrolling if that profile has profile types on it in order to see if there are household members. Having to do that scrolling is taking A LOT of time. It would be much more helpful to have the household members in the box at the top with the household. That way you can click on the link for the individual…

  16. Our use case is around scholarship only org profiles showing up for fund advisors to search causing numerous problems and confusion, but there are other applications for this. So, similar to hiding funds, consider adding a checkbox either on a org profile or grantee layer that prevents the profile from being searchable via the fund advisor portal when looking for grantees.

  17. Now that Relationships, Engagements, Files, and Notes are hidden behind tabs, it would be helpful if there was a way to tell if there was data in those sections WITHOUT having to click on them (e.g., If there are no Notes, the tab could be grayed out, or if there are notes a number in parentheses to indicate how many notes exist.)

  18. I want to be able to search by "Smith, Joe" without having to type in "Smith, Mr. Joe". The profile search used to let me put in "Smith, Joe" but since the latest update it no longer does, and when you are trying to link a profile or search for profile from donation page it doesn't ignore prefix there either. I don't always know whether the person is a Ms. Miss, Mrs. etc, so it consumes time looking through the list for the correct profile.

5/3/2023: Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement.  Foundant is excited to take so many of the User submitted ideas from idea lab and make them happen in the software.  Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.

The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed.  This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns.  With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header.  This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record.   Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well. For easier navigation, the profile name…

  19. For the new look on Profile, the Details tab should be the first tab (not the 3rd tab) and the default tab open/highlighted. Then Relationships, Engagement, Files and Notes.

Designations: Those that are enabled, should all display at the top (currently the list is static, so there could be some designations that do not apply and then some that do apply). Confusing to look at.

Custom Fields: Should align directly under the Details box or the Phones box. Right now there is a bunch of space between Details and Custom fields (when you have address, emails and a bunch of…

Created date is now a column in the Profile list view.  A User could  also create a profile report with a created_Ts filter.  A relative date could be used and the report could be emailed weekly, monthly, etc.
