  1. For internal granting between funds, where the beneficiary fund will then be granted out immediately, please provide a Bulk Edit or an All/None checkbox situation for the resultant grants. Yes, it's very useful to be able to Create Spendable for all unrestricted funds, for example, but then the efficiency this provides is immediately negated by having to open each grant, one by one by one, to click the Apply Spendable box.

    Released 6/2/23:

Grant Type: Added the ability to Set Grant Type in bulk from the left side menu in Grants and Grant Reports. In Grants, there is a new Set Grant Type options in Grant Actions. This is available in the New, Approval and Voucher Buckets. In Reports, this option is available for any Grant Report that includes a Grant ID. Selecting this option will open a list to select or update the grant type for each grant in the list.

  3. Hi - I was just notified by a grantee that they had not received their ACH grant payment. I went back into CS and found that one of my checkrun batches was not posted through and it was super hard to find! Can you please make unposted checkruns easy to spot? Especially when it gets busy, its hard to remember to go back and look through each check run to see if it was posted (especially electronic payments) - Thank you!!

  4. (09:10:00) Faith Krueger
When a donor logs onto the portal to make a grant recommendation and opts to use the search for other grantee function, if the fund advisor types in New York, an error message appears. If the fund advisor types NY, a search will be initiated. Is there any way to adjust the setting so that if you type New York rather than NY, the search will not be interrupted. I assume the same is for any state, e.g., NJ, SC, NC, etc.

  5. Please allow for the entering of the grant advisor, grant letter template, service area and grant type fields when first entering a recurring grant so that letters will be generated without manually editing and so tracking of service areas and grants types will be accurate. (Currently these fields are not available so must be manually entered with each occurance.)

  6. We'd like to be able to cancel historical grants and their scheduled payments. We have scholarships that transferred over from our old system into Csuite as grants and we'd like to clean up our lists. They have installments that haven't been paid because the student quit attending school, and currently, when we click "cancel" next to the installment we receive a message that states "Can not cancel a historical payment line (maybe in the future)...."

  7. Currently, you have to go one-by-one to send grant letters out. It would be helpful to be able to choose a handful of ones you would like to send out automatically via the Foundant email system and bulk send.

You can currently print grant letters in batch from the check batch.  From checks, find the grant batch and select check run.  You will see an option to print grant letters for the batch.  We are releasing a new enhancement to the sandbox this week, then live on December 7th, 2022 that will move the production of grant letters to a bucket in the grant area.  Keep an eye on release notes.

  8. It would be incredibly helpful to have a grant letter tracking "section" within the grant itself that shows a timestamp of when the grant letter was sent and to whom.
A bonus would be to have the actual grant letter attached to that timestamp to see EXACTLY what the letter sent (with the actual date, not the automatic date that shows up when you go to see/download the grant letter at a later date).

Templates for Grant & Scholarship Letters: Moved the processing of Grant & Scholarship letters from the check area. This will allow program staff the ability to create grant and scholarship letters separate from the creation of checks. There is now a documents bucket in grants and scholarships. Letters will still be grouped by check batch so that clients can easily print or email letters in bulk. If the check batch is unposted, it will remove the batch from the documents bucket. If clients, recreate a check both letters will attach to the grant/scholarship. When emailing grant/scholarship letters, the email address will pull from the primary email on the p

  9. Please include template fields for recurring grants: start date, interval, number of occurrences, next occurrence date so that we can send accurate grant letters with the checks. Currently we have to manually edit each grant letter for a recurring grant to add language that tells the recipient about the recurring details.

  10. We send a different award letters for checks and ACH payments, It would be amazing to be able to batch grants from different managers and send the letters in a merge instead of one by one.
We process a large amount every week and going back to each record is time consuming. thank you!

  11. When sending grants to CSuite for a Grant Cycle Catalog, there is no way to send the "Long Description" field, so that it appears on the Donate page for the grant. All that appears on the Donate page is the "short" Description. Perhaps the Summary field could be used instead, if there is no long description?

  12. Would love to have email types (like address types, where we can add our own). We have many different emails for different organizations, many of which are specific to a single thing. With email being our most frequent form of communication, it would be great to run a report on email address type when necessary to get specifically the contacts we need at each organization (like CEO or grant manager or admin....etc)

  13. Creating Spendable Grants leaves the Advisor field empty. When processing hundreds of grants at a time, this means that we have to go into each grant and assign an advisor so that the advisor name will show up in the grant letter. We would like to see this field auto populated with the Primary Fund Advisor. This will save a huge amount of time and energy!

    3/31/2025:Idea Lab Live:

Funds: Added the Grant Advisor field to Grant Beneficiary table on fund. This will allow users to select from a list of fund advisors for the fund to complete the grant advisor field on spendable grants upon creation. This field will be a limited list of fund advisors on the fund.

Grants: Updated spendable grants to allow for the grant advisors to be populated from the fund record in the Fund Beneficiary table. When creating spendable grants, the field will populate on the table for users to review before processing the grants. Users will be able to remove and then edit the grant advisor from the grant new bucket.

Fund Advisors: Updated internal grants to send donation notifications to the fund advisor, if the Donation Notify checkbox is enabled for the fund advisor. Prior to this release internal donation did not send notifications to the fund advisors.…

  15. Please make the grant_ letter_ email_ body template in site custom content HTML compatible! It appears every template is html compatible except this one.

Without the compatibility, you are unable to create line breaks or format any text which is very frustrating.

    Thank you!

  16. When processing grants in the New Bucket, I need to run Charity Check, set the grant type, set the letter template, and post & get approval. It appears that I can run Charity Check and Post in batch, but I still have to open each grant to set the grant type and grant letter. If these could be done in batch or even default based on the fund, the process would be much more efficient.

  17. Currently, if a check run has both electronic and check grants, every grant letter is printed when you click print grant letters and every grant letter is emailed when you click email grant letters.
It would be great if the system only emailed grant letters for grants that are being paid electronically, and only printed grant letters for the grant s being paid by check.
Alternatively, another set of buttons could be added to "Email grant letters - electronic" and "Email grant letters - checks", etc so that folks can still get letters for the full check run if needed.

10/4/2023:Grants: Enhanced the look of the Grant Catalog by adding tabs: Details, Grantees, Content.  This will allow for better organization of the fields within a grant Catalog.  The header box will be a quick reference point for the Catalog ID, Request Dates, Catalog Dates, and the Funding Goal.

From the Details tab, users will find the detail options and settings, grant categories, and the reporting for the Grant Catalog.  Added the functionality for Grant Catalogs to allow for a Nonprofit to receive a donation amount over the Requested amount. This new option is a checkbox on the Grant Catalog Details tab, Allow Overfund Grants.    Once the grant has been fully funded, it will move from the Unfunded Bucket to the New Bucket.

Grantees Tab will be house all of the Grantees information.  On the left hand menu, users will find a new options to Invite Grantees to the Grant Catalog.…

  19. Love the ease of pulling grant/gift reports from the fund's main profile, but really wish there were either an "all" or "since inception" field. We often run these quick reports while on the phone with someone, and it never fails that I have to stop, go back, look at the fund's start date, hit grant report again so that I can add an inclusive date range. Silly, but slightly aggravating!
