Add grant advisor, grant letter template, service area and grant types to recurring grants
Please allow for the entering of the grant advisor, grant letter template, service area and grant type fields when first entering a recurring grant so that letters will be generated without manually editing and so tracking of service areas and grants types will be accurate. (Currently these fields are not available so must be manually entered with each occurance.)

Cancelling a historical grant (payment line)
We'd like to be able to cancel historical grants and their scheduled payments. We have scholarships that transferred over from our old system into Csuite as grants and we'd like to clean up our lists. They have installments that haven't been paid because the student quit attending school, and currently, when we click "cancel" next to the installment we receive a message that states "Can not cancel a historical payment line (maybe in the future)...."
7 votesYou should be able to cancel the historical scholarship payment lines. Reach out to support for steps top cancel these. Success@foundant.com

Sending Grant Letters in Bulk from Foundant System
Currently, you have to go one-by-one to send grant letters out. It would be helpful to be able to choose a handful of ones you would like to send out automatically via the Foundant email system and bulk send.
1 voteYou can currently print grant letters in batch from the check batch. From checks, find the grant batch and select check run. You will see an option to print grant letters for the batch. We are releasing a new enhancement to the sandbox this week, then live on December 7th, 2022 that will move the production of grant letters to a bucket in the grant area. Keep an eye on release notes.

Grant Letter Tracking
It would be incredibly helpful to have a grant letter tracking "section" within the grant itself that shows a timestamp of when the grant letter was sent and to whom.
A bonus would be to have the actual grant letter attached to that timestamp to see EXACTLY what the letter sent (with the actual date, not the automatic date that shows up when you go to see/download the grant letter at a later date).1 voteTemplates for Grant & Scholarship Letters: Moved the processing of Grant & Scholarship letters from the check area. This will allow program staff the ability to create grant and scholarship letters separate from the creation of checks. There is now a documents bucket in grants and scholarships. Letters will still be grouped by check batch so that clients can easily print or email letters in bulk. If the check batch is unposted, it will remove the batch from the documents bucket. If clients, recreate a check both letters will attach to the grant/scholarship. When emailing grant/scholarship letters, the email address will pull from the primary email on the p

Recurring Grant Letter
Please include template fields for recurring grants: start date, interval, number of occurrences, next occurrence date so that we can send accurate grant letters with the checks. Currently we have to manually edit each grant letter for a recurring grant to add language that tells the recipient about the recurring details.

email grant letters in a merge
We send a different award letters for checks and ACH payments, It would be amazing to be able to batch grants from different managers and send the letters in a merge instead of one by one.
We process a large amount every week and going back to each record is time consuming. thank you!2 votes -
grant catalog
When sending grants to CSuite for a Grant Cycle Catalog, there is no way to send the "Long Description" field, so that it appears on the Donate page for the grant. All that appears on the Donate page is the "short" Description. Perhaps the Summary field could be used instead, if there is no long description?
1 voteFor GLM clients, there is an option to send grants from GLM to the Grant Catalog in CSuite. Here is a link to the integrated grant catalog article in Foundant's support hub. https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/18529814954135-Integrated-Grant-Catalog

Email types
Would love to have email types (like address types, where we can add our own). We have many different emails for different organizations, many of which are specific to a single thing. With email being our most frequent form of communication, it would be great to run a report on email address type when necessary to get specifically the contacts we need at each organization (like CEO or grant manager or admin....etc)

Create Spendable Grants with Primary Fund Advisor Auto Populated
Creating Spendable Grants leaves the Advisor field empty. When processing hundreds of grants at a time, this means that we have to go into each grant and assign an advisor so that the advisor name will show up in the grant letter. We would like to see this field auto populated with the Primary Fund Advisor. This will save a huge amount of time and energy!
1 voteRelease Note: Grants: The Primary Fund Advisor for a Fund will now be added as the Grant Advisor when creating a spendable grant.

System Data - Content: enable html for grant_letter_email_body
Please make the grant_ letter_ email_ body template in site custom content HTML compatible! It appears every template is html compatible except this one.
Without the compatibility, you are unable to create line breaks or format any text which is very frustrating.
Thank you!
12 votes9/12/2024:Site: Added Rich Text Editor to the email creation areas for Profiles, Grant and Scholarship documents, Invoices, grant_letter_email_body content area and Grant Catalog.

Set Grant Type & Letter Template in Batch or Default Grant Type Based on Fund
When processing grants in the New Bucket, I need to run Charity Check, set the grant type, set the letter template, and post & get approval. It appears that I can run Charity Check and Post in batch, but I still have to open each grant to set the grant type and grant letter. If these could be done in batch or even default based on the fund, the process would be much more efficient.

Print grant letters for checks only and email grant letters for electronic grants only
Currently, if a check run has both electronic and check grants, every grant letter is printed when you click print grant letters and every grant letter is emailed when you click email grant letters.
It would be great if the system only emailed grant letters for grants that are being paid electronically, and only printed grant letters for the grant s being paid by check.
Alternatively, another set of buttons could be added to "Email grant letters - electronic" and "Email grant letters - checks", etc so that folks can still get letters for the full check run if needed.48 votesTemplates for Grant & Scholarship Letters: Moved the processing of Grant & Scholarship letters from the check area. The grant and scholarship letters will now attach to the grant or scholarship record once produced.

Add Internal Grants to Grant Cycle
Add the ability to include internal grants to a grant cycle
22 votes10/4/2023:Grants: Enhanced the look of the Grant Catalog by adding tabs: Details, Grantees, Content. This will allow for better organization of the fields within a grant Catalog. The header box will be a quick reference point for the Catalog ID, Request Dates, Catalog Dates, and the Funding Goal.
From the Details tab, users will find the detail options and settings, grant categories, and the reporting for the Grant Catalog. Added the functionality for Grant Catalogs to allow for a Nonprofit to receive a donation amount over the Requested amount. This new option is a checkbox on the Grant Catalog Details tab, Allow Overfund Grants. Once the grant has been fully funded, it will move from the Unfunded Bucket to the New Bucket.
Grantees Tab will be house all of the Grantees information. On the left hand menu, users will find a new options to Invite Grantees to the Grant Catalog.…

Gift/Grant Reports Since Inception
Love the ease of pulling grant/gift reports from the fund's main profile, but really wish there were either an "all" or "since inception" field. We often run these quick reports while on the phone with someone, and it never fails that I have to stop, go back, look at the fund's start date, hit grant report again so that I can add an inclusive date range. Silly, but slightly aggravating!
15 votesThe following was released in March: Funds: Added the ability to run all date range for the donation, voucher, and grant reports for funds. The all date option can be found under the relative dates. When displaying the report formats to show date range from Min to Max.

Check Template: Add grant contact, business title, and salutation to check templates
Greater Worcester Community Foundation is transitioning from FIMS to CSuite. We print the grant award letter on the check stub to communicate formally with the grantee. This saves a lot of time when preparing the mailing. We would like to see grant contact, business title, and salutation added to check templates, so that we can continue to personalize the communication.
4 votesYou can now use the vendor fields for this information on our check templates.

Vendors Paid report parameters
Currently organization grantees are not pulling into the Vendors Paid report for 1099s even when the vendor record has the "need 1099" box checked. We often pay organizations with grants, and a few of them need 1099s. The IRS does not care whether or not the income was from a "grant," so please remove the parameters that are not allowing these organizations to pull into the Vendors Paid report so we can correctly issue 1099s!

attach a tribute to an internal donor advised fund grant
I couldn't vote for "interfund tribute" BUT I talked to Support and they said it's not an option to attach a tribute to a grant
Just restating the previous Idea Lab: Allow a tribute for an interfund. Many times our donor advised funds will make a grant to another internal fund in honor or in memory of someone. We'd like to be able to track ALL gifts made in honor or memory of someone - not just external gifts.12 votes -
Tribute & Tax Receipt Templates: Adding Custom Fields as Template Fields
We like to have custom fields available in both tax receipt templates and tribute templates. They're available in grant and check templates now, but not in these 2. We have uses for them, sometimes as workarounds, and extending these templates to have those fields would be really helpful.
13 votes8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.
The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item. This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field. This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.
A status field has been added to tributes. By default, all tributes are now public. The public status will allow…

Historical grants - Newest to Oldest
When viewing the historical grants, it would be great if they sorted in reverse chronological order (newest to oldest) instead of oldest first.
