Timesheet Charset in Neo Report Builder
The Timesheet Charset feature is currently available only in the Classic Report Builder, which has now been deprecated.
Please reintroduce this functionality in the Neo Report Builder, as it is a vital component for tracking timings, costs, rates, and related metrics efficiently.
Justification / Use Cases:
Time Tracking: Enables detailed reporting of user activity, hours worked, and time allocation across projects.
Cost Management: Allows calculation and analysis of costs and billing rates based on recorded timesheets.
Performance Monitoring: Supports productivity and resource utilization tracking for project management.
Continuity: Maintains reporting parity with the Classic builder, ensuring a smooth transition for…

Concurrent User Queue on Login Page
Currently, when a system is configured with a concurrent user limit to maintain optimal performance, users attempting to log in during peak usage receive a message indicating high traffic and are asked to try again later. However, users have no visibility into when they might be able to log in, as they cannot tell when others have logged out.
To improve this experience, we propose implementing a queue system like those used by ticketing platforms or high-traffic websites. This would allow users to:
• See how many people are ahead of them in the login queue.
• Automatically gain access…

Rich Text in Email Templates
If you use syntax like sscal in Rich Text, the text does not appear in HTML View. It would be nice if the syntax showed as part of the text.

This is a known issue that will be addressed soon via a new variable syntax. In the meantime, disable rich text editor when editing emails with sslogic.

expiry column for staff contacts list
When we review our staff contacts in the CRM, there is no way to see in the list view whether we have added an expiry date or not. We have to open each individual to check. The Support team told me I cannot add the expire date field as a column to the list view using list syntax.
The expire date is accessed by going into the contact and clicking on Actions (top menu) > Edit Roles and Access.
It would help to be able to quickly tell if a user has an associated expiry date on their role access.…

Export custom field list with visibility permission settings
The ability to export the custom field list from L1, L2 or L3, users, orgs or any system object, with settings such as mandatory toggle, description, select values, and including the role, status, and type permission settings, into Excel, or the ability to build a report builder report where you can customize the settings to be exported. The system design summary pulls some of this data into a word table format, which can be copied into Excel, but it is cumbersome and only copies from the core fieldset. Being able to export directly and easily from the custom field list…

We see the value and need to provide a way for customers to have a documented view of their system. We will monitor to see how much others are interested.

Charity Search Database
We will like to add additional fields to our charity search database, as well as additional filters to control how the listing in sites. Additionally, we need to enable data export from the search database in manageable chunks or allow us to query on on the existing data.

Ability to train and use AI to review uploaded files
Add an ability to train AI to recognize the document we are requesting. Applicants can then get a warning that it doesnt look like they are uploading the correct document, and flag it for reviewers.
The next step would be to use AI to scan the uploaded documents for data and then use that data in the application without the user having to reenter information.

We are exploring multiple approaches to leverage external sources and documents with AI, as this capability is foundational to our overall strategy. This concept encompasses several potential AI use cases, including notifications and intelligent data consumption. We will monitor these ideas closely as we develop and iterate on new AI use cases.

Rich Text Editor - Resizable Window
With the Smart Simple October 2025 Update to the Rich Text Editor, the window is no longer resizable.
The specific field type for the Rich Text Editor is: Special - Rich Text. It would be ideal if the window has the ability to be resized both vertically and horizontally.
An example of text windows that are fully adjustable are those with the "Text Box - Text Multiple Lines" field type, and the Width is set to "Full" under the display options (Width), allows for both horizontal and vertical adjustment

data lake
It would be very useful to have a separate reporting database or the ability to replicate the database for reporting purposes.
For us this could be useful to have a data lake that could be used externally like with Power BI. We currently run many very complex reports using SmartConnect API's against our live instance (because they are too complex for the built-in reports).
This can cause major slowdowns in the live system with some of our more intense reports. There was a suggestion regarding AI insights where John Fulton suggested a data lake. It would be great if we…

Bottom scroll bar
On the L2 view within the L1, there are two scroll bars on the right and then a bottom scroll bar below all the L2s. if there are many L2s on the list, one would have to scroll all the way down to move the scroll bar to the right. It would be nice to have the bottom scroll bar be static on the page.

Emulate user without resetting everything else
Whenever I emulate a user, all of my tabs within SmartSimple disappear and I'm reset back to my default home page. I need to be able to flip quickly between emulating and making changes, and not need to open multiple new tabs and navigate back to where I was.

Allow use of status group names in the status indicator without affecting all other status views in the system
We'd like to use the status group names in the status indicator on L1 for internal users, but we don't want the group name to show to those users across the system in all list views, etc. - there are other places where they need to see the granularity. The use case for the status group name in the status indicator is to get a quick, high-level understanding of the phase of our process the record is in. In list views, etc. the same users typically need to see the exact status more granularly in other places for different reasons.

Drag and drop application builder
The current method to change the order of the questions in application is to go into the field configuration and change the display order. This can be a time consuming process and a bit of a guessing game. It would be so helpful to have a configuration mode allow admins to drag and drop fields directly in the records to reorder them.

Toggle Left-Hand Navigtion list between full width and icons
It would be helpful if the left navigation menu on records can be toggled between the full width and a compact view on a record-by-record basis. This would help on smaller screens or when adjusting the size of the window. It would allow the fields on a record have more of the useable space.

User Emulation - Add granular role-based privileges
At present, the settings for user emulation do not allow for granular role-based permissions. For example, there is no feature to restrict which other roles a user role can emulate. It would be incredibly useful for our staff to be able to emulate grantee user accounts. Unfortunately, we currently cannot enable this feature for them, as it allows them to emulate all other roles which includes higher-level users.
Something like "Roles this role can EMULATE" (reference attached image) would be incredibly useful.

I just saw that there is now an option to log an email activity, but it would be helpful if that email could trigger an actual email form that could be linked with an application.
