I think this change is a miss on functionality. It's one thing for a CSuite admin to use these workarounds (using another browser or the sandbox) but it's another for the average staff member who uses CSuite. An officer who may be on a call with a donor should easily be able to see the fund advisor portal through their lens. They were accustomed to doing so for the legacy fund advisor portal. One concern with the sandbox workaround is that it may not be the most up to date information, depending on when the last sync occurred. We sometimes use the sandbox for testing for weeks without syncing.

For the new portal, when a grant is added to the New bucket in CSuite it is also visible to fund advisors on the portal. It would be better if it didn’t display in the portal until the grant is paid. Before the grant is paid, there is a chance the grant hasn’t been reviewed yet and the information isn’t accurate. If a grant request is submitted through the portal, it should display the status of that grant throughout the process. It’s the grants that aren’t requested through the portal that we’d like to not have displayed until they are paid.
If “Grant Notify” is enabled for a fund advisor, they are only notified once the grant has been paid. The same logic should apply to what’s made visible in the portal.
