  1. The history of grants from and gifts to a fund is important information to have at our fingertips! Please put the History button back on the main page of the Fund Module (it was removed in the recent update). We shouldn't have to go through multiple clicks to get to it!

  2. We are working through some clean up projects tied to how we coded groups, subgroups, divisions, and segments. The bulk edit feature works great, but it only impacts opened funds. During a recent audit, we identified 100 closed that needed to be moved from one group to another. The information was crucial for analysis purposes - so we had to reopen 100 funds (one by one), bulk edit the 100 funds, then closed them again (one by one). You cannot open funds in bulk, and you cannot close them in bulk. For new clients not fully aware of how CSuite…

02-07-2024: Funds: Added Bulk Open and Bulk Close to the funds left hand menu option, from the List All, List Open, List DAF's, List Agency, List Affiliate screens. This will allow users to filter the list to the funds that need to be opened or closed and use bulk functionality.

When closing the funds in bulk, the system will process each fund individually, users will see the Fund id closed message when the fund is closed. If the fund can not be closed because of balances, the system will show a yellow message with the fund name and id. Clients will need to resolve the issue and go back and start the process again for that fund and any remaining funds after it.

  3. We use shortname a lot on funds. Could it be added to the box at the top of the new fund screen layout? Instead of just on the detail tab.

  5. It would be great if the fund statement section in the fund would default to being collapsed or just showing the most recent statements. We have been on csuite for less than 2 years and the list taking over the screen when viewing funds.
Currently, the user can collapse the statement listing but it returns to the entire list something is done in the fund like opening a saved document.

8/2/2023: Funds: Updated UI to align with look and feel of profiles and campaigns. The fund record now has a header which contains the main fund information and is available on all tabs. In order to organize fund information and limit the left side menu options, the following tabs have been added: Details, Relationships, Settings, Fund Statements, Files & Notes.

On the Details tab, clients will see the main details of the fund such as: short name, creation date, fund groups, and the fund assets sections.  We have also moved budget and loans, from the Options settings to Details card . Reports are still located on the Detail’s Tab, but have all been grouped under on left hand menu: Reports.  Once Reports is selected a new page will appear and all of the Reports will appear in the left hand menu.

On the Relationship's Tab clients will find Scholarships, Beneficiaries,…

  6. Now that Profiles have tabs, it would be great if Funds had tabs also. For example, some of our funds have a lot of files that require scrolling down the page. If we could have those visible by clicking on a tab instead that would be great.

  7. The ability to have denied grants in Csuite is helpful. However, if one custom report is the only place you can get the information, that isn't helpful. When a grant report is run from a fund, those denials should show there. Also, it would be most helpful for the fund advisors to see these denials as well.

Grants:  Added an new option to deny an unposted/unapproved grant in the new bucket.  Once a grant is denied, it will automatically move to the complete bucket and be included in the grant list in a grantee profile.  Denied grants will also be included in the grant report for a fund.  Denied grants will not be visible in the Fund Advisor Portal.  Once a grant has been denied, there is a left hand menu option to remove the denial.

Currently, they will not be displayed in the FA portal.

  8. It would be very helpful to have the option to put an end date on a fund promotion so that they would come off the promoted funds list on the donation page automatically. Many of our promoted funds are for memorial gifts. As a practice, we generally leave a fund on the promoted list for 1 month after the passing of the individual being remembered. Yes - we can make dated task reminders and calendar reminders but it would be great if the system would just do it.

  9. It would be helpful if, from an account, when searching for transactions, the ability to filter for a closed fund were possible. We tend to need this information for audit related items and any funds that closed during the year are frustrating to get to the relevant information.

  10. We would love the opportuntiy to "Hide" the fund summary field in the donor portal OR have the opportunity to bulk edit those fields. When we came over from FIMS, lots of Fund Summary fields were not in the best shape for public viewing when someone makes a donation to that fund - we are cleaning them up but in the mean time, would be nice to just be able to turn them off during clean up.

  11. When looking at a Grantee, there currently is a Grant Summary that shows the list of Funds that have supported the Grantee with a grid/table that shows total grants for either fiscal year or calendar year (whichever you selected as the Admin for your Foundation's CSuite portal).

This is extremely helpful from a Grantee standpoint as we can see recurring support for a specific Grantee.

It would be wonderful to see this type of grid/table from the Fund standpoint. So that we can see the pattern of Grantees a Fund has supported year-over-year. I've found that I can create this…

  12. There should be a copy button within a fund to use to create new funds. Often we'll set up multiple new funds that are of a similar type with the same restrictions, groups, subgroups, original donor, advisers, etc. It would be nice to just use a fund already set up to create the new one and make the minor changes needed manually instead of setting each one up from scratch.

The ability to copy a fund was released 12/7/2022.

Here is the release note:  Added the ability to copy a fund. This will copy all fund fields except for name, short name, public name, and the fund summary. With this release, we have added the following fields to the fund create screen: fund steward, with donor restrictions, fund statement format, fund statement interval, allow additional advisor, and require primary advisor approval.
