Enable new donor portal = disable legacy portal
We would love to have the option to disable the legacy portal when we enable the New Donor Portal. There are many issues with both of them being live at the same time, including how the content for the Portal maps to both portals. We put detailed instructions for fundholders in the content area and now the Legacy portal is incredibly unprofessional because the instructions are wrong. While we hope none of our fundholders navigate to the Legacy portal, we suspect many of them have the URL bookmarked on their computer. It's not a good look for us and we…

Make Grant Description optional in the Donor Portal
Recently the grant description field was marked as required for the Donor Portal via another IdeaLab. However this is a burden for us and our fundholders (and I imagine some of your other clients too).
I would love to this the grant description field be a Donor Portal Setting checkbox where the field could be optionally required. This would meet the needs of all of your clients, empowering them to set up the portal in the best way to support their operations.
We are worried that more of our fundholders will restrict their grants if this field is required and…

New Portal: We should have the option not to show Interest Types on Portal
We use Interest Types internally and do not want them listed publicly on the new Portal when Fundholders or Donors login in. They are not currently listed in the old Fund Portal but are listed as soon as someone logs into the new Portal.
I reached out to support to figure out how to turn these off and they said "After connecting with my CSuite team, they have informed me that there isn't a way to hide the Interest Types at the moment. They recommended submitting this enhancement idea to Idea Lab."
We shouldn't be forced to show Interest Types…

Maintain features exclusive to fund advisors in the donation portal
The "all-in-one" donation portal is going to cause foundations problems with fund advisors based on how it is currently being configured. We have adapted the new portal, and we so far have discovered the following issues: 1. Fund advisors can no longer donate to their own fund through the portal without either a)making their fund public; or b) send them a link to their fund that defeats the purpose of giving them access to the portal for all their fund needs. Fund advisors need to be treated differently than general donors, nonprofits and vendors. We continue to be concerned that…

Full Fund Name Should Be Visible on Fund Portal
On the new Fund Portal the fund name is cut off after very few characters. (picture attached) Our Fund Advisors and others with fund access should be able to see the full name of their fund. Many of our fund names include both spouses' names and they should both be visible on the Fund Portal.

New Portal: Option not to show Available to Grant/Spendable on the Portal
We would really like to have the option not to show Available to Grant / Spendable on the Fund Portal. Sometimes this is a negative amount which is confusing to fundholders. There were two different Idea Lab posts about this for the current portal that are now marked as "Not Planned" because of the new portal. Please make showing Available to Grant/Spendable optional by fund in the new portal.

donation comment
Can we move the Donation Comment text to show on the Portal? These are comments that donors are putting in and they should show up for the fund advisors to see. In order for the fund advisors to see, we have to copy and paste to the description field.
7 votesThis field shows on the portal in the donor tab under Donation Note.

New Portal: Remove Contact Preferences from Editable Fields
We would prefer not to allow portal users to view or edit their contact preferences.
Do not email, do not call, do not mail are internal codes that should not be viewable by our fundholders as it could lead to confusion, and may mean different things to different foundations.

Style Individual Funds on the Portal
In the legacy portal there is an option to adding branding at the fund level so fund advisors see branding that coincides with the Foundation, Affiliate, and/or Supporting Organization the fund is within. This is not possible on Styles with the new Portal.
We will need this functionality to implement the Portal by April 2025 to ensure all our funds have consistent branding and appropriate entities are recognized.
6 votesIn Styles, there is an option for Public Fund Style. That brings up a list of funds for a specific style to be applied to a fund. Please reach out to support if you have further questions that are not answered in this help article. https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/20005531734295-Styles

Pledge Left-Side Menu on Donor Tab of Portal
We do not utilize the Pledges portion of CSuite. Currently, we can remove the Pledges left-side menu option from the Fund Advisor tab in the new portal, however, Pledges is not removable from the Donor tab left-side menu. For this reason, we will not be able to utilize the Donor portion of the new portal because we do not want to give our donors the option to create a Pledge. Could the option to hide Pledges from the Donor tab left-side menu please be added?

New Login Page- Too much white space!
There is really a huge amount of white space with the login info sitting on the right. The sneak peak webinair showed an image and wording on the left side of the page, but it isn't clear how to add/edit that. Even though we have a logo for our organization, it isn't appearing on the login page.
5 votesIf your logo is not displaying on the login page, please upload the logo in System Data. That will fix the display issue in both the Portal and Giving Hub. There is a content area in Portal Options>Profiles titled Profile_login_content. There is a rich text editor in this content area as well.

Unsubmitted Grants
Some fund advisors are frustrated with the multiple steps it takes to submit a grant through the Advisor Portal as, previously, there was no “Grant Cart” holding the unsubmitted grants. Each week, our team is having to monitor the List Carts to ensure that fundholders are not missing the final step “Review and Submit Grant Requests”. We are finding that they are missing this step which then requires us to email the advisor, and the advisor to log back into their account and submit the grant. This has caused delays in processing grants. It would be great if there were…
5 votesThe "cart" option in the Fund Advisor Portal and new Portal is a setting that is controlled in Portal Options>Portal Settings. Edit the settings and disable the Fund Advisor Cart option in the Request Settings area.

New Portal: Separate "Login As/Manage Login Info" Permissions for internal and external users
The new portal in the Sandbox has merged security permissions for C Suite user account access and fund access. In the new portal there is only one permission setting in Profiles that is all or nothing for all users - both internal staff and external users with Portal access. We need our Donor Relations staff to be able to manage the external users logins and login as external users but it is a significant security issue to allow those staff members to login as other staff users who may have access to financial information etc that our Donor Relations staff…

Ability to select which left hand nav options are available
We don't use pledges and would like to be able to remove that option from the left hand navigation in the portal. It will cause confusion and questions.
4 votesThe left hand navigation options are still controlled at the Fund Advisor Level. So if you don't have pledges, simply do not turn on the "tab" in the fund advisor area.

New Portal: Please change the layout of the landing page for the new Portal
Having the contact information of the person logging in as the first thing that that they see when they log into the Portal is unusual and unhelpful. When you log into any other website, like your bank or investments accounts or even social media, you don’t see your profile information first; you see the account or information you are there to access. Our Donors, Fundholders, Grantees etc are not logging in to see their profile information – they’re logging in to see their Fund or to make a Donation etc. Those links are small and off to the side.
Please…

Dont show all Donor Addresses in the Fund Advisor portal
When allowing a donor address to display in the Fund Advisor Portal, default to only showing the primary address. The current behavior shows all active addresses, which can look extremely sloppy when there are many active addresses, and has the potential to allow a fund advisor to see addresses that might be considered private on the donors profile but still active for use internally.

Spendable Optional by Fund on Fund Advisor Portal
We need the option to NOT show spendable balance on some funds. This could be as easy as a checkbox on the fund settings - Show Spendable or Not Show Spendable. Discussed this with Chris Sutton at Summit and he stated it would be doable. :)
This a large pain point for us on our Donor Advised Growth funds which do not have to follow spendable but yet we still calculate it. Therefore, they end up with a large negative spendable balance showing on the portal which causes confusion.

Donor Portal Charts
Currently our donors have charts on their Donor Portal landing page. I can't find an option to enable these for the new Donor Portal. If it's not there, since our donors love these charts, donor satisfaction of this new Donor Portal will be impacted.

two factor authentication
Text message two factor authentication needs to be an option outside of email. email is SLOW and not everyone gets it on their phones. Text is main way folks communicate
1 vote8/7/2024:Portal: Updated the login page to incorporate two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced security. When logging in, constituents will now have the option to choose between email or username with password. If two-factor authentication is enabled for their account, they will be directed to the Two-Factor Method page where they can select their preferred method to receive the authentication code: authenticator app, email, or text message. After selecting a method, the constituent will be prompted to enter the received PIN code to complete the login process.
