  1. The current API services offered by SmartSimple are confusing in the response our team receives when calling them. For example:
    - If there are missing variables in the call, it will respond a 200 - OK in almost all circumtances.
    - If there is an incorrect variable (for example, report instead of reportid), the API will reply a 401 error in the body of the response - which indicates the user does not have authorization to that report, when the error is that the variable was incorrectly parsed in the URL.

  2. Once a person has been invited to an application and has accepted the invitation, it would be helpful if system administrators had the ability to edit information in the invitation window—such as correcting the spelling of a name or email address. It's common for the person sending the invitation to make small mistakes, and they often reach out to us for corrections after the invitee has accepted. Currently, the only way to fix these errors is to delete the invitation and re-invite the person, which is inefficient.

  3. Fix the Advanced Search feature with the following improvements:
    - open the search in a modal window so we can see all the criteria in the search
    - provide functionality to change the order of criteria
    - Include previously used queries dropdown (either customizable or most recent X queries)
    - return the closing parenthesis
    - add a "power user" option for people to include their own SQL queries

  4. When preparing an email in the Communication Center, the "Preview" button previews only the body, not the subject. It would be great to include the subject in the preview as it contains often variables or sslogic statements

  5. All our emails are sent from "no-reply@smartsimple.eu"
    However, even if this is a "no-reply" email address and we describe in the email body the one to use to reply, users continue to use the "reply" button of their email client. So, we would like to define, at the email template level, the reply email address to use (can't be a global parameter as multiple internal teams are involved).
    For now, we try to use the "(reply-to)" feature in cc (see screenshot - do not remove it!) but this is not very practical

  6. It would be really helpful to have the option in the various Security Matrix sections to toggle all the checkboxes on or off across for a particular field, not just down for a Role or Status.

    And as we can do with the 3 dots in the header row to "Copy Row Settings", I'd like to be able to "Copy Field Settings".

  7. Currently, when SmartVersioning is used, it will copy over all the fields in the Core version to the new version. It does not, however, copy over the dynamic visibility. So if the dynamic visibility changes between versions, you have to manually keep all of your dynamic visibilities updated to the newest versions. This is a pain when you have to manage dozens of dynamic visibility fields.

    It would make more sense that, if a dynamic visibility is set to the Core version, that it automatically adds the new version that is stamped from the Core. If fore some reason this…

  8. The columns on advanced data tables, and other sections of SmartSimple, are limited to Small Medium Large XLarge (or equivalent). This isn't great, and they also regularly don't work because the text fields become the adjustable ones anyway. It would be better to be percentages and all fields in a column/row to follow on from their header. The boxes could then still be adjustable, but start at the relevant size. The aesthetic is quite poor currently.

  9. Please allow Batch Update to handle removal of Assigned Contacts based on role. The way it functions now, a name is required in order for Assigned Contacts to be removed. Doing a bulk removal via batch update based on role alone does not seem to work.

  10. When using the Assignment Grid—specifically the Reviewer Assignment Grid—it would be helpful to have features similar to Excel, such as the ability to hide columns or freeze panes. This would make it easier to scroll horizontally on smaller screens without losing track of which application you're viewing. It would also be useful to have the option to sort by specific columns, such as Application ID#.

  11. It would be nice to be able to use the auto assignment feature as follows instead of having to use workflows and enable this to be used with the contacts tab instead of assigned sf:

    1) When a new user is added in a particular role to the contacts tab of an L1, automatically assign them to the L2s in the contacts tab as a particular role
    2) When a new L2 is created and users from the L1 are set to auto assign to the L2, the assignment is passed upon activity creation

  12. The current functionality within listviews allows the user, if the option is enabled, to request the download of the files in a specific Upload - Multiple file storage field to a ZIP file.

    This functionality is not currently available for the field type Upload - Image. We would like to have this option available, as the current workaround requires the configuration of 2 API services and short script to get the same result.

  13. A recent SmartSimple update included a change with the GuideStar Charity Check feature, where it now pulls a GuideStar Pro report versus just pulling the Charity Check report. I'm not sure if it's just us or if there are any other clients have found this to be burdensome to their processes for a couple of reasons.

    1) It now takes so much longer for the report to be pulled into the record (at least 5-10 minutes). So, it's not as immediate as it once was.

    2) We don't use all of the other information that is in the Pro report.…

  14. The current method to change the order of the questions in application is to go into the field configuration and change the display order. This can be a time consuming process and a bit of a guessing game. It would be so helpful to have a configuration mode allow admins to drag and drop fields directly in the records to reorder them.

  16. The search functionality for the end users is far too strict, to where you will get different results when using an apostrophe versus not using one. Being able to incorporate AI into this search or another method to simulate a fuzzy search will vastly improve the end user experience when using the search functionality.

Currently if columns in an XML should be updated in say a progress report, but rows shouldn't be able to be deleted or added, the +/- buttons on the dynamic section have to be hidden with custom script. Instead it would be great if there was a setting on each dynamic section to hide the +/- buttons based on status and/or role - perhaps a visibility condition like we have for edit conditions on the column? This would make initial configuration and ongoing changes easier.

  18. I have a couple of clients that are using the person to person relationship in SmartSimple. This is an older feature that hasn't gotten a lot of love/updates and it would be nice if we could update the UI to match the UI we have for Associations. Right now the UI is pretty out dated and it feels clunky to navigate.

  19. In Adobe e-sign, a user is able to assign a signatory and an alternative signatory (proxy signatory) to the same signature spot, but only one can sign. Would it be possible to do the same in the Smart Simple platform, as Adobe eSign is used as the interface?

  20. Fix the left hand column in the report builder which tells you which row is the dataset, field, field ID etc. so if you add multiple columns and have to scroll to the right, you can still see what each row is for
