How about adding viewing and downloading capabilities to the document upload field in the Interaction L2 form?
Is there a reason you included a document upload field in the "Interaction" L2 form that appears in our Activities list of the L1 application forms, but didn't include any way to view or download documents uploaded there?
Enquiring minds want to know.

Shift Click to Select Multiple Items in a List View
The ability to select multiple item in a list view by clicking the first item and shift clicking the last item to select a range of records instead of individually clicking each one would be very helpful.

As part of a larger discussion on enhancing the list view, we have linked this to the topic for future consideration.

Enable a History for the Dynamic Visibility changes
When editing a Dynamic Visibility, there is no history of what changes were made as the system does with most parts of the platform. Some Dyn Visibility trees are long and we do not have any way to see what changes were applied.

Rich Text Editor - Resizable Window
With the Smart Simple October 2025 Update to the Rich Text Editor, the window is no longer resizable.
The specific field type for the Rich Text Editor is: Special - Rich Text. It would be ideal if the window has the ability to be resized both vertically and horizontally.
An example of text windows that are fully adjustable are those with the "Text Box - Text Multiple Lines" field type, and the Width is set to "Full" under the display options (Width), allows for both horizontal and vertical adjustment

Bring back ability to choose different email addresses when using Email Templates/Group Email
It is critical and imperative for our work that the ability to choose different email addresses when using Email Templates/Group Email is implemented again (in the deprecated personal email settings). This has a major impact on the work that we do. We rely on this feature quite heavily. Without this feature we need to email stakeholders manually, which is taking a step back for us.
10 votesWe plan to allow the ability to specify multiple “From” email addresses in a future release. This will most likely be added at Global Settings > Communications > Email Options and Security > From Address

Rich Text in Email Templates
If you use syntax like sscal in Rich Text, the text does not appear in HTML View. It would be nice if the syntax showed as part of the text.

This is a known issue that will be addressed soon via a new variable syntax. In the meantime, disable rich text editor when editing emails with sslogic.

Fix the Advanced Search feature
Fix the Advanced Search feature with the following improvements:
- open the search in a modal window so we can see all the criteria in the search
- provide functionality to change the order of criteria
- Include previously used queries dropdown (either customizable or most recent X queries)
- return the closing parenthesis
- add a "power user" option for people to include their own SQL queries18 votesMonitoring Interest ·

Change the default error message for SSO
Request: Can the SSO default authentication error message be updated, perhaps by client instance? Is there any way for users not to hit a dead end but be nudged towards the correct behaviour?
Context: Logging in on the SSO “happy path” works well (users follow directions and know if they already have registered with SmartSimple or not). These users do things in the right order: Users click the Create an account button if they have not previously registered in SmartSimple, or they click the Log in button if they have.
The “unhappy path” does not work, where users think they…

Export custom field list with visibility permission settings
The ability to export the custom field list from L1, L2 or L3, users, orgs or any system object, with settings such as mandatory toggle, description, select values, and including the role, status, and type permission settings, into Excel, or the ability to build a report builder report where you can customize the settings to be exported. The system design summary pulls some of this data into a word table format, which can be copied into Excel, but it is cumbersome and only copies from the core fieldset. Being able to export directly and easily from the custom field list…

We see the value and need to provide a way for customers to have a documented view of their system. We will monitor to see how much others are interested.

Provide a group message board for all SmartSimple clients
It would be great for SmartSimple to provide a message board where all SmartSimple clients can exchange and share questions/ideas/solutions. Message board will have a working search functionality where clients can search for solutions before posting questions for help.
Currently, all we have is the...wiki...

data lake
It would be very useful to have a separate reporting database or the ability to replicate the database for reporting purposes.
For us this could be useful to have a data lake that could be used externally like with Power BI. We currently run many very complex reports using SmartConnect API's against our live instance (because they are too complex for the built-in reports).
This can cause major slowdowns in the live system with some of our more intense reports. There was a suggestion regarding AI insights where John Fulton suggested a data lake. It would be great if we…

Improvement to the API services
The current API services offered by SmartSimple are confusing in the response our team receives when calling them. For example:
- If there are missing variables in the call, it will respond a 200 - OK in almost all circumtances.
- If there is an incorrect variable (for example, report instead of reportid), the API will reply a 401 error in the body of the response - which indicates the user does not have authorization to that report, when the error is that the variable was incorrectly parsed in the URL.As our system becomes more connected with other platforms,…

Bottom scroll bar
On the L2 view within the L1, there are two scroll bars on the right and then a bottom scroll bar below all the L2s. if there are many L2s on the list, one would have to scroll all the way down to move the scroll bar to the right. It would be nice to have the bottom scroll bar be static on the page.

Fuzzy Search Functionality for SmartSimple Platform
The current search functionality in SmartSimple is inflexible and does not accommodate spelling variations, spacing differences, or typos. This limitation results in:
- Users creating duplicate profiles for organizations, etc., when they cannot locate existing entries
- Increased user access management issues
- Greater administrative burden for managing and merging duplicate profiles
- Weakened compliance monitoring and controls
Implementing a fuzzy search functionality that returns approximate matches would resolve these issues by allowing the platform to accommodate:
- Spelling mistakes
- Spacing differences
- Typos and minor character variations
Benefits:
- Improved User Experience: Users can find existing records even with minor search variations
- Reduced Duplication: Fewer duplicate…

add level 1 id , level 2 id, and level 3 ids to list views / search criteria
It is onerous to build a report to find the common name (front end name, etc) for a eventid that you find in wf history (or otherwise). I'd love to search for level 1, 2, 3 ids in list views to prevent that extra step of building report just to find a field I can search on list view

Number of records selected visible
It would be helpful see how many records total are selected from a list we are viewing instead of having to manually count. Some of our lists span well over 100 records for different things and if we're needing to select specific records on the list to change the statuses, there is nothing at the top of the page to indicate how many as been selected.
