  1. When configuring a personal dashboard, you currently need to choose a list view that already has a filter applied. As a result, each conditional summary requires its own dedicated list view with a matching filter, which significantly increases the configuration effort.

    In a previous portal configuration release, we introduced the ability to select list views and filters independently. This allowed users to reuse existing list views and apply different filters as needed, reducing duplication and simplifying setup.

    I recommend extending this same flexibility to personal dashboards. Enabling independent selection of list views and filters would reduce the number of configurations…

  2. It would be really great if the email builder/preview, allowed you to toggle between desktop and mobile views, use intuitive merge fields (as opposed to the variables), and send live test emails to specific addresses (like to yourself and/or a team member) to ensure the formatting is perfect.
    The live test email would allow you to select a particular person or organization that it would pull the merge data from for the preview, without sending it to them and while allowing you to see it in your own inbox.

  3. It would be really great and significantly more convenient if "System Email Templates" lived under
    Menu-->Communication-->Email-->Templates
    instead of under
    System Admin-->Global Settings-->Communications-->System Email Templates

  4. The new file preview feature under multiple file upload field is very helpful, but users can still download files, and this option cannot be disabled.

    We suggest adding a role-based control to allow administrators to restrict file downloads (e.g., for volunteers or external reviewers, or in some cases, internal staff) while still allowing file preview.

    This way we can improve security, reduces risk of file being downloaded to user's own devices, and better supports data protection.

We have recently build an integration with our eSign provider (not natively supported by SmartSimple), using workflow tasks to send the contracts for execution, updating signee data on contracts already sent to the eSign platform, and monitoring via a Scheduled report the current status of the contract once per day.

    However, there is one webservice from eSign platform that we have not been able to use although we really wanted to... Which is to get the signed file from the eSign platform to SmartSimple. This is due to the WF Type Task Web Service - RESTful Request not supporting the…

  6. Certain UTAs contain personal data that should only be visible to the user themselves. Policy field sets allow us to cope with that through the front end but adminsitrators / report authors can still report out that data and we need to stop that happenning. Perhaps the UTA security or policy field set rules can apply to the report module.

  9. When adding shortcuts to a portal, it goes to a pop up list of shortcuts and target checkboxes are ticked and then the user clicks OK to confirm. The shortcuts are added to the list in the portal but need an additional click to once again confirm the new shortcuts and save them to the portal. This is an extra step that seems unnecessary since we already confirmed which shortcuts to add.

  10. We have received user feedback that the standard system message sent when a user is tagged in a Note is difficult to read. Users want italics or quotes to visually distinguish the Note content from the rest of the message. Users would also like the URL to be a clickable link so they can navigate to the Note directly from their email. If SmartSimple cannot update the standard system message, provide the ability to configure a custom template here (without creating a new workflow, which is what Support suggested).

  11. Add a Slack integration for SmartSimple so teams can receive automated messages when action is needed, such as approvals, tasks, updates, or missing information. Messages could include basic details, a link to the SmartSimple record, and buttons like Approve or Reject. Users could take quick action directly from Slack, while SmartSimple saves the response. Admins could choose which workflows send Slack messages and who receives them. This would help reduce email, speed up decisions, and make it easier for users to stay on top of important SmartSimple tasks.

  12. We would like to propose a feature that enables bulk (batch) translation of applicant-entered content in custom fields using SmartSimple’s existing in-tool translation functionality. Currently, translations must be performed manually field by field by clicking the translation button, selecting a target language, and choosing the destination field for storing the translated content. We are not referring to translating field captions/labels, but rather the actual responses submitted by applicants.

    It sounds like you are currently using the Enable Field Translation Service to translate applicant‑entered content and store the translated text in separate custom fields by manually clicking the Translate button on each field.


    If your goal is to translate multiple applicant‑entered fields in a single action, you may want to consider using a workflow with the task type Translate Field Values. This approach may allow you to execute the translations in batch. You could then expose this workflow through a single button on the application form, enabling on‑demand translation of all relevant fields without needing to translate each field individually.


    While this is not a native bulk‑translate action within the SmartField interface itself, it might effectively achieve the desired outcome with less manual effort. I suggest escalating to Support if you’d like assistance with configuring the workflow or validating the setup.

  13. Flagged notes are helpful if they're brief. However, when a flagged note has replies, every part of the thread is posted on the Application. I want to enable flagged notes to minimize or hide their replies to reduce the space they would take up on the Application.

  14. Can you please hold webinars at a time where European Smartsimple users can attend or hold separate webinars for European users.

    The last three webinars: SmartSimple's February 2026 Upgrade Overview, Configuring SMTP OAuth 2.0 for Office 365 and Online Project-Based Test to Production (T2P) have all been held at 02:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada) which is 8pm Central European time and 7pm GMT. This excludes European users from participating in these webinars and we miss out on important information. Please consider making a change to these. Thank you.

  15. Would like the ability to configure the Quick Assignment Type/tool so that we could select a default dropdown option for the Quick Assignment Type and Role to Assign dropdowns. It would also be nice to have the option to add a dropdown option of 'Select One' so that users are forced to select an option.

    For assigning reviews, a pop-up window appears with two options - Manual User Assignment and Random user Assignment. Would be nice to have the ability to revise the tool tip language.

Currently, when a system is configured with a concurrent user limit to maintain optimal performance, users attempting to log in during peak usage receive a message indicating high traffic and are asked to try again later. However, users have no visibility into when they might be able to log in, as they cannot tell when others have logged out.

    To improve this experience, we propose implementing a queue system like those used by ticketing platforms or high-traffic websites. This would allow users to:
