  1. Our list of Profile Types is becoming longer each year. We delete types we no longer need, but it is still becoming unwieldy. It would be very helpful if we could archive Profile Types that we want to keep for the historical record so that they wouldn't appear every time we are assigning Profile Types. Similar to what has been done with Campaigns.

    The ability to archive profile types was released on 9/7/2022.  Here is the release note:  


    Archive Profile Types: From an individual profile type, clients will now have the ability to archive or delete profile types. Archiving the profile type will allow clients to keep any historical profile types for reporting and filtering. There are now separate permissions for archiving and deleting profile types. Archive and delete profile type permissions have been enabled for users in the admin group.

  2. Desired change: Enhance how organization contact name / address is processed in templates

    Currently: there is not a field that will pull the contact name AND the organization name for our donation letters. Any field I use to include organization name creates a blank space when the donor does not have an organization listed.

    For donation letters I would like to include at the top of each letter:
    Donors Name (Mr. and Mrs. John Smith)
    Organization Name IF APPLICABLE (Food Pantry)
    Street Address (123 Main Street)
    City State Zip (Toledo, OH 43604)

    A person's title would also be ideal but…

  3. If there was an additional column that showed the donor's primary email on the unsent tax receipts page, it would be much easier to check and uncheck the right boxes for bulk processing.

  4. It would be nice to be able to get a report of all Grantees that have had Charity Check bypassed so that you can ensure that only appropriate grantees had this done.

  5. At some point, do you think you will add an ACH payment option that processes through or syncs with CSuite? This would eliminate entering payments twice - once through CSuite and once through our bank's Bill Pay portal.

  6. Please change the date on the Till Deposit report header to be the date of the deposit, not the date of creation of the deposit into CSuite. We frequently finalize donation entry in the till after the date of the deposit, and therefore don't enter the deposit until donations are completed and verified. Example: Till Deposit 563 - 5/18/20 should be "Till Deposit 563 - 5/12/20" when the deposit date was 5/12/20.

  8. Could the Grants tab on the donor portal total up the number of grants and the number of dollars granted over the life of the fund? Currently, there are two different ways of organizing grants displayed - by date and by grantee - which is great, but it would make sense to have a total at the bottom of each format.

  9. Since we are able to bulk print envelopes for tax receipts/gift letters... it would be wonderful if we could do the same on the grant letter side, and bulk print the envelopes.

    As it is, we are having to print the envelopes individually. In lighter grant weeks this is manageable, but I can imagine when we get into the heavier granting weeks later in the year, this will create a lot of unnecessary processing time for our staff.

    We can't turn an already merged Word doc of letters, into a merged doc of envelopes... without the data file to connect…

  10. The ability to filter by fund group in the grants voucher bucket would be really useful to us when we only want to print a certain fund group's grants. For example, we process DAF grants, FOI grants, and Scholarship grants separately. Filtering by fund group would make it much easier for the check approvers to approve the right grants.   11. When looking at a deceased household profile, it is easy to see that the profile is deceased as there is a red bar at the top of the profile page. However, when looking at an individual non-deceased profile who is a member of a deceased household, there is nothing on the living individual profile page to alert you that the household is deceased. It would be helpful if in the living individual profile, there was a note next to their household name that alerted you the household is deceased without having to click into it and verify.     Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement.  Foundant is excited to take so many of the User submitted ideas from idea lab and make them happen in the software.  Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.

    The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed.  This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns.  With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header.  This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record.   Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well.     8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.

    The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and  have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item.  This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field.  This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.

When we unpost a donation, do not automatically delete it also (maybe have a flag that asks whether the user wishes to delete it or not). 99% of the time, when we unpost a donation, we simply need to fix something on it and re-post. This will significantly increase productivity, especially with Stripe payments that are now auto-posting the donation, much to our chagrin.

  16. It would be terrific if an export column could be added. We could see that a donor wishes to remain anonymous and see the donor's name. As it is today, the donor's name is replaced with the word Anonymous.

    This change would be especially helpful for donor stewardship. We can honor the donor's wishes to remain anonymous, while still being able to see who they are without a separate look up.

  17. It would be very useful to have a COPY function when creating gifts. Many times a batch of gifts is received on the same date, going to the same fund, so we'd just have to update the donor name & amount. This was available in FIMS and saves alot of time.

    Donations: Enhanced donations with the ability to copy a donation once you select process. All fields are copied except for  payment method, check number and donation date, which will default to today as normal donation form functionality. Donation Advisor is not copied because advisor is not set on a donation during initial entry. If it is an internal donation, the internal donation status will not be copied, instead it will just be a normal donation.  Historical is not copied, so historical donations will get copied in as real donations that impact the general ledger.

  18. It would be helpful to have the QEV available for all funds and not just the ones with the spendable coding.

    Right now, we are being told to have the QEV show we need to edit the fund and give it the spendable code and distribution type then we need to go to the GL and run "rebuild QEV". It's either this or run multiple quarterly reports.

    Financials:  Added an Audit Balance report to the left hand menu in financials.  This report will allow clients to run quarter ending balances based on bank and investment accounts for a time period and by quarter or year. There is also options for fund balances based on total fund balances, principal, and spendable balances displayed by month, quarter, or year based on the date range selected.  Fund filters can also be applied to this report.  The default view is by quarter, selecting edit options will allow a User to change the time period.  This report will only populate quarter ending values for time periods if the month/quarter/year end is closed.

  20. We have a grant type that we are no longer using because it's specific to a fund we no longer have. I would like to be able to delete this grant type, but not delete it from past grants. We still need that historical data for reporting.
