  1. It would be very helpful to have a detailed general ledger report of all the transactions for a particular fund or set of funds to review data. Most systems have a report that is often requested by auditors and fundholders to get a complete picture of all the detailed line items that have gone into their fund.

    This report would make it easier to review data.

  3. In addition to searching profiles by name, it would be helpful to be able to search by address. We often find duplicates that happened or profiles created and not linked to their household because a person's name was slightly different on the checks from one account than another, or because they were listed as Mrs. John Smith on the joint check and Jane Smith on their individual check. If we could check by address, we would probably catch more of these.

    • Profiles: Enhanced the profiles search option to include address, phone numbers, and EIN. Email and phone search has been moved to the main page, instead of left-side menu options. Inactive profiles will now have a red inactive at the end of their profile in the search areas. This will help easily identify if the profile is inactive before selecting the profile.

  4. For recurring donations through the donor portal where the donor has selected to add the stripe fee, the add stripe fee selection would follow through to the subsequent recurring donations instead of stopping after the first donation.

  5. In the gray box where it says "Profile," include the type of profile it is (i.e. individual, household, organization). At first glance, it is sometimes hard to tell if you are looking at an organization or individual -- causing donations to sometimes be attached to the wrong profile. Or update the gray bar to different colors for different profiles.

    5/3/2023: Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement.  Foundant is excited to take so many of the User submitted ideas from idea lab and make them happen in the software.  Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.

    The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed.  This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns.  With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header.  This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record.   Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well. With the implementation of a Donation Dashboard, having the ability to categorize donations as internal versus external would allow organizations a more accurate visual of donations received within a year. CSuite includes all internal grants as donations which overstates actual donation figures.

    Released 1/3/2024:  Enhanced Dashboards to have Custom Report Filters. Users will now see a Filter hyperlink at the top of a Dashboard. Once filter has been selected, users will see a list of Custom Report Filters that are available to apply to the Dashboard. Current year will be a default filter for dashboards. If a graph does not populate once a filter is applied, the filter may not pertain to that graph.

  7. The ability to be able to customize the envelope template would be extremely helpful. Currently, I have to run envelopes through twice to print our logo and mailing address and then again to print the recipients address on them. The ability to customize the envelope template would not only save time, but printing costs as well.

  9. We were excited to see that when someone purchases a ticket for an event, that the system sends them the receipt letter we created. The bad news is, it 100% looks like spam because the subject and message are vague and there is an attachment.

    The email reads like this (edited for privacy):

    11/1/2023:Added Ticket Receipt Email Subject and Ticket Receipt Email Body to the Details tab on Campaigns. This will allow users to add a customized email message and subject line for ticket purchases. The Ticket Receipt Email Body will be HTML compatible, but no merge fields for this content block.

  10. While the fund images are on the main giving/listing page, they disappear when you get to actual donation page for said fund. We really need that to be included there. As it stands the giving page is bland and unwelcoming, not modern and bright like many other giving platforms. Until you reach that stage of design, could you at least have the image (if there is one) on the donation page? How about bold and enlarge the Fund Name? Put it up with/match size of the "donation" line.

  11. Currently, once a fund advisor is made Primary, it's not possible to de-select them as primary. Seems like this could be a check box like the other Permissions, rather than a button.

  12. I don't like the new Categories sections for attached files. It's not convenient to have to click on the Category first before you can see the file now. Please make an option so the Category is NOT collapsed.

  13. Add the "first date" field to the Donor Reports Filters.

    I had to delete 35 years of first date donations to get the 2020 first-time donors. Not efficient!

  14. When looking at a deceased household profile, it is easy to see that the profile is deceased as there is a red bar at the top of the profile page. However, when looking at an individual non-deceased profile who is a member of a deceased household, there is nothing on the living individual profile page to alert you that the household is deceased. It would be helpful if in the living individual profile, there was a note next to their household name that alerted you the household is deceased without having to click into it and verify.   15. The system now ignores prefixes when specifying a search, which is great. So Mr. John Doe can be found by entering Doe, John. However, suffixes aren’t ignored. So Mr. John Doe Sr. has to be entered as Doe Sr., John. It would be great if suffixes could also be ignored on searches.

    Here is the release note:

    Journal Entries: Enhanced the Description from the top header box to copy into the Fund Entry Descriptions on Save, if no description is entered. If a user edits the journal entry and needs changes the top description, the new description will not copy into Fund Entry Descriptions, unless the Fund Description Field is blank upon Save. Added commas to the number entry for Debit and Credits.

  17. Would be FANTASTIC to be able to enter a batch of donations, review them on a report and post as a batch, rather than having to post after each donation ( to create a deposit in the till )

  18. When running a donor/donations/grants/grantee report from the funds page, it would be nice to have an option to select "all dates". When I'm running these reports, I find the majority of the time I want to see all donations/grants to/from a particular fund, not just for a certain year or quarter. I'm constantly typing in a date range of 01/01/1900 - 12/31/2019. Not a major concern, just something I've always thought would be helpful.

When we unpost a donation, do not automatically delete it also (maybe have a flag that asks whether the user wishes to delete it or not). 99% of the time, when we unpost a donation, we simply need to fix something on it and re-post. This will significantly increase productivity, especially with Stripe payments that are now auto-posting the donation, much to our chagrin.

  20. Was curious if all fields in the profile area can be tracked for changes? Noticed today that linking two profiles together or unlinking has no audit log tracking. Appears the website field of a profile also is not tracked for changes. Hoping all the fields can be tracked for changes so we can know who/what/when data was changed!
