  1. Occasionally we have a new administrator that we add to our system. The issue is when added they automatically receive emails for our processes including those that are archived. We create a new process for each cycle, so what this means is we spend a good deal of time deselecting their name on old processes so they don't receive automatically generated emails about grant reports. It would be nice if a new administrator's name would only appear on current processes or if it would be an "opt in" option versus "opt out."

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your idea in the Idea Lab — we truly value your input and creativity. After reviewing engagement levels across all submitted ideas, we’ve decided to archive this particular idea. This helps us keep the Idea Lab organized and focused on the ideas that are getting the most activity and feedback from our community.

That said, your idea is important to us! It’s possible a similar idea with higher engagement already exists — a quick search might help you find and support it. If you’d like to resubmit this idea with clearer or more specific wording, it could also help others find and vote for it more easily.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, feedback, or concerns. We truly appreciate your participation and look forward to hearing more of your thoughts in the future.

    Thank you…

  2. We keep insurance certificates and audits on file for our applicants (who submit multiple applications per year). We don't want them to have to upload these key documents over and over again to every single application or followup that they submit.

I would like there to be a key place on their dashboard where these documents are visible, and where the applicant can submit an update (if any). That way the applicant can check whether we have the latest one before applying for a new grant. It would be great, too, if that field could be pulled into the application…

  3. I would like to be able to make copies of forms. It seems odd that you can't "save" an original version of a form and then make a v2 with new edits and tweaks but rather have to create from scratch each time.

If this is with all forms, then I would request copy function for all.

  4. We've recently implemented G4G fields in our applications, but the majority of the most useful, most easily copied, and most redundant questions applicants are asked to input in every single funder's application are at the organizational level. Would LOVE to see G4G fields available for organizational profiles, as well as for LOIs/Application questions.

  5. Part of our criteria to submit an application is to have a level of GuideStar at Silver or higher. We currently have to manually check for this or during the Charity Check and select some other area. If you don't know where to look, it can be difficult and tedious.

Would be nice to incorporate as a question into the application that get's pulled in from GuideStar and/or part of the Quick Export on application submitted.

  6. We tend to have a problem with the same organization creating multiple applications in draft. I think some people log in to look at what info is required in the application but tend not to fill in any information. Then, they log in at a later time to fill it out and start a new one.

I think it would be nice if the application doesn't "autosave" if there is no information filled in. I spend time abandoning a lot of blank applications. It might also help if users got a notification like "You already have an application in draft,…

  7. It would be great if the status updates could be customized so we could control which update they see and which they don't. I don't want my students seeing that they are denied but I need the selected recipients to be able to see their follow up updates. I am not able to turn them off and on again because of the time frame. The denied would need to be off until June but the follow ups need to be on in May and June. Thanks!

  9. Currently have “submitted” and “completed” tabs. As scholarships are received, I review them and like to push them through to completed but with third party cannot do this. Would like another tab where reviewed scholarships could be saved and the third party link would still function. Some of the third party responses could take up to two months for completion. I review over 700 scholarship applications in a 3-month period and this would tidy up my workspace. Currently have to keep a spreadsheet of student's names so I know who has been reviewed.

  10. I am wondering if your programming guru's would consider an auto safe feature. Sometimes I add comments in the Foundation Directors Notes on the LOI or application...and forget to save them.... I realize this is pilot error, but auto save would save some time. Just something to think about. Thank you :) mj

  11. Love the idea of the Evaluation Side by Side view! Although I would like to see two important things brought into this view.

The Send Email button that would appear at the bottom of the LOI or Application used to say "Email [Applicant's Name]" - it doesn't appear anymore. It is not at the bottom of the "Your Evaluation" in side by side, where you can Deny Request, or Save the evaluation, and for some weird reason you can now Send Email to Yourself* -but not to the applicant.
I am not sure why you might want to send yourself…

  13. I love that the Application packet brings everything in, including attachments! But it brings everything in...

We create packets for external reviewers, and I'd like to be able to customize the fields included in the Application Packet. To cut down on paper for the ones that print--and to make it easier for reviewers to see only the necessary sections--we only want to include certain fields in the reviewers' packet (i.e., they don't need address, etc., and we don't want them seeing the hidden questions or things we've turned off for that round).

I know I can do that some of…

  14. For grant agreement forms, we often need an institution official to agree to the IP language or grant acceptance form. We usually have the applicant enter in a 3rd party email to complete this, but then have to rely on the applicant to also send them the document they are agreeing to. It would be helpful to have that 3rd party be able to view the request document like the applicant can.

  15. I recently walked a board member through how to find previously approved grants, which was a multi-step process. I think it would be helpful to have a third link on the board member/reviewer dashboard that would allow them to see a list of the Approved grants, as I can through my administrator account.

  16. Hi -

I have mentioned this to several folks at Foundant, but I realize I have never posted it here. I would very much like to see a multi-currency function within Foundant. We award grants in the United States and Canada, in USD and CAD. When a grant is awarded in CAD, I would like to be able to see the award amount both CAD and award-date USD as well as enter both currency amounts (USD & CAD) at the time of payment so that I can see both currencies when I look back historically.

    Thanks!

  17. We have different evaluators for the Evaluation 1 step. It is dependent on the location, etc. of the applicant. We can have any one of three different evaluators for the Evaluation 1 process.
When we batch assign evaluators for Evaluator 2 process, requests go to all board members. However, when batching Evaluation 2 assignments, all other participants in the Evaluation 1 process (even those not assigned because of request particulars) receive an Evaluation 1 assignment as well. So now all other Evaluation 1 members receive the request in their Staff Evaluation bucket as well as their Board Member bucket (some…

  18. Currently I only see the name of the Data Set, but not the name of the report I am working on, on the Run Report page. When I change the filters or fields on a report and save it as a new report, it would be incredibly helpful to see the name of the report in addition to the data set.

  19. If I understand correctly... "shared questions" allow you to repeat the same question in multiple places, but changing the answer changes the answer in all places where the question shows up.

I would like something slightly different - a "synced question" - in which the question is the same in multiple places, and the answer is different in each of those places. But I would like to keep the feature where edits to the question instructions in one place copy automatically to all other places where the question is (as is already possible with "shared questions").

    Why: In one of…
