Ability to set Organization as Inactive
Similar to users, it would be helpful to have the ability to set Organization as "Inactive" Some of our organizations have now closed their doors, and there isn't a way for use to remove those organizations from mailing lists reports. We do add the user's status, though, if we could take those out right away it would be very helpful.
10 votesHI Juana,
While the language is a bit different, the function of "Archiving" and organization should meet the request.

Search Bar for GLM
Adding a global search bar in GLM that allows administrators to filter across all requests, decisions, organizations, users, applications, forms, emails, and notes by keyword would significantly improve efficiency and information retrieval.
There have been many instances where my President has asked for a list of grants related to specific initiatives or geographic areas - such as homelessness, hunger, substance abuse prevention, utility assistance, Smith Lake, or camps. These types of searches often can't be fulfilled by simply entering the name of an organization, user, or location. Instead, I’m left to manually comb through grant notes and entries from previous…
26 votesHello!
Our first iteration of a global search was made available in the February 2026 release. In this release, you can search by organization name, user name, and project name.
We recognize this does not get as granular as the initial request for keywords and emails. We will continuing to evaluate to solve for those scenarios as well and encourage you to create a new idea lab submission with that feedback.

eligibility quiz
It would be great if an eligibility quiz could be used to filter applicants for specific grant opportunities. So, depending on how they answer the questions in the quiz, it would then show different application opportunities. For example, if the applicant belongs to a small organization that is not scalable and has a limited budget, then after completing the quiz, an application specifically designed for this type of organization would be available to them.
5 votesHello,
Thank you for your feedback! This is actually one of the ways clients use Eligiblity Quiz today. If you reach out to our support team they can connect you with someone in Success to talk through the workflows.

Allow applicants to update Organization address again
Please restore the site settings allowing admins to designate specific org page fields that can be updated by applicants. I recognize that not every client wants this, but as a trust-based org, we'd like to give our grantee partners the autonomy to update their address on their own rather than having to reach out to us. (And if you all don't recall how this used to work, please reach out to me for more details.)

This should be available. Please reach out to support if you are having issues.

Prevent Duplicate Applications in SLM
Bumping this back to the top of the list - please strongly consider only allowing one application per process to be started at a time within a process cycle.
When we have multiple processes running (for us it just increased again this year, in the 30s) and 550+ active applications, we need a better way to keep the numbers accurate and moving things through the process clean and as efficient as we can. Please limit them to one application start within a process and change the apply button within the tiles that match to them to "Continue" if they've started…17 votesHello!
This functionality is now available through our process request limit functionality, released in January 2026.

Third Party Entry - Include Applicant Name
It would be helpful to have the applicant's name appear on the third-party response form. Currently, it shows the applicant's name on the dashboard, but when the third party clicks on Start to submit the information it only shows the "process" or "award" name. Having the student's name appear at the top of the form would help responders keep track of the student they are working on.
Some of our third parties complete a LOT of responses and I've heard from many of them that this would be really helpful.

Login Log for GLM
As it stands right now, the login record in GLM just shows the last time a user logged in and that includes someone proxying into their record. It would be nice to be able to see a detailed list like we are able to in CSuite.

Data visualization dates
In the new Data Visualization tool, I would love to see adjustable date ranges - our fiscal year runs July to June, but all my charts/tools run on calendar years.
1 voteHi Amy, Custom date ranges should be doable through the tool. Reach out to support, and they can help you work through this.

Alphabetizing search in a different, better way
When typing a last name in the search bar, the list of all with the last name of, for example, "Smith" come up. It would be greatly helpful if the Smiths were listed in alphabetical order of their first name, NOT prefix ("Ms., Mr., Mr. and Mrs.). Could that please be changed?

We hope our new header search helps to solve this problem.

Let applicants submit follow ups out of order
We have deadlines for each of our follow ups, but applicants are welcome to submit certain follow ups with a later deadline (i.e. match documentation) before the others (a final grant report, for example, which we do 3 months before grant end so we have time to set up a renewal conversation). It has to be at least twice a week that we hear from a grantee saying they can't submit their match docs because Foundant requires the follow up with the earlier deadline to be submitted first. It would be greatly beneficial if our applicants could submit follow ups…
1 voteHello, this can be changed by managing your settings to change the follow-ups from conditional. If you have questions, please reach out to support@foundant.com, and they will be happy to assist you in changing your configuration.

bulk deactivate users
Would like the ability to auto/batch deactivate old users. For example anyone that hasn't logged in the system in the last 5 years.

Ability to add an Alert to a request or profile in GLM/SLM
Would love to have the option to make a comment on an application or organization/contact profile into an ALERT that would then appear for all internal users in some easy-to-identify way. Maybe a "!" icon next to the record when viewing a list of records, and the message in red at the top when the record is opened? Right now, there's no way to flag an issue (org is out of compliance, owes a report, ED owes me $5, etc.).
43 votesOur October 2024 Release included the additional new functionality "Pinned Commented." Based on conversations with many of you who have engaged on this thread, we felt that the functionality of a pinned comment would give you the most flexibility in communicating the need to Flag an Organization or User within the software.
I encourage you to review the support documentation to learn.
If for any reason you feel this feature does not solve the need you have for the software, please create a new idea or follow up with me directly at sammie.holzwarth@foundant.com.
As always, we will continue to enhance this functionality based on your feedback.
Best,
Sammie

UA Opportunity Eligibility Change Log
I would like to request that Foundant implement a change log for the eligibility criteria for the opportunities within a Universe. There is currently no way for us as users or you as the host to track changes made. If there is a mistake or issue, we need to be able to know what was done, when, and by whom.

Project Name included on Applicant Dashboard
In the new version of the applicant experience (which we are big fans of!), I love that the process is listed up front, our grantees used to struggle with identifying their different grants and which program they were connected to, but now the project name doesn't seem to be reflected anywhere on the new applicant home page. For our grantees/organizations that may have more than one project in a process (fairly common with local universities or hospital systems) the follow ups are indistinguishable unless they click into the form. Is there anywhere or any way that the project name could…

GLM: notifying organization of existing profile with GLM
To avoid multiple GLM profiles for one organization it would be great to add a feature notifying the person that the EIN entered when creating an account is already in use and restrict them from creating another account. If it is a fiscally sponsored organization then the 00-000000 option can still be available.

Manager Evaluations
Currently, once a manager evaluation has been assigned, if the manager reviews it and then realizes it should be reassigned to another manager, if he saves it (even without answering any questions), it locks the evaluation and it cannot be reassigned. This is an issue and has not always been this way. I would like to recommend this be changed so if needing to reassign an evaluation, it can be done without issue by the administrator, even if it has been saved. This has been a very big issue for us during our current grant process and I'd like to…

2-factor authentication
We would love the option to turn on 2-factor authentication. Applicants often share credentials to work on application and follow-up forms, and 2FA would help eliminate confusion on their end, as well as greatly reduce the risk of fraudulent activity.

Two-factor authentication is available under the manage password setting. If you have additional questions, you can reach out to our support team.

read-only access to application documents for scholarship reviewers
Hi! I'm writing to request an update to the SLM/GLM reviewer experience that is regarding the cybersecurity of our scholarship and grant applicants. Currently, reviewers within the SLM/GLM can choose to either view or download scholarship or grant applications or the documents uploaded within them. For scholarship applications, these documents include things like FAFSA reports that include personal financial information. For grant applications, that could include things like tax returns, audits, and budgets.
I would like to request an update to the settings for Reviewers to be able to be given "read-only" access, meaning they would only be able to…

UA -Assign evaluations across processes in the "evaluation assigned" bucket
It would be wonderful if you could assign across processes within the universal application after an application is in the "evaluation assigned" bucket. I often have reviewers who are unable to complete their assignments and I have to manually reassign hundreds of individual applications. This functionality is so helpful in the "complete" bucket.

Quit proxying - stay on the application page
When you quit proxying as an applicant, the system throws you out of the application in which you were working back to the dashboard. You have to then hit Search-Organization-type in the name-search/click for the request in which you were just working-and again for the part of the application. This is an onerous process when you have to upload a report for a less than techy applicant. Couldn't the system be constructed so that the admin returns to the application on which he/she was working?
