December 2024 Applicant Experience Release Feedback
This is a common idea for all feedback related to releasing the new Applicant Experience: Apply Page and Dashboard.

GLM: Block new application if grant report isn't complete
Block new application from applicant who hasn't completed a grant report on a previous grant award. This would encourage applicants to complete their grant report and provide another level of due diligence built into GLM
51 votesThank you for the idea.
Would you hope this is implemented across all processes?

Custom Content on New Applicant Dashboard
Please add the custom content back to the new and improved applicant dashboard. On the old dashboard, we included instructions on filling out the application, contact information for our Foundation, and links to trainings. This is not currently possible with the updated version of the applicant dashboard.

Login Log for GLM
As it stands right now, the login record in GLM just shows the last time a user logged in and that includes someone proxying into their record. It would be nice to be able to see a detailed list like we are able to in CSuite.

Timing of Automated Emails
This idea was posted back in 2019 and had 20+ upvotes. Our grantees receive their automatic email reminders for forms in the middle of the night - about 3am CST! Support says that emails begin sending automatically at 2am, and continue until they have all been sent. There needs to be an option to adjust this. Nonprofit employees shouldn't worry about their phones pinging in the middle of the night. "Hey, it's us! Just popping into your bedroom to remind you that your follow up form is due tomorrow!" LOL

Follow Up Reports available with past applications under Organization History tab
It would be great if follow up reports showed up along with the past applications under the Organization History tab so all the members of an organization could see this important part of an application. With the high rates of turn over at a lot of these organizations having the follow report tied to the person who submitted the report is very limiting.

Organizational Information Section - that is evergreen
We would really like to have information uploaded to an Organizational page/section. For example - one-time upload of 501(c)3 documents, board members, organizational chart, the reason for non-profit, D&O insurance ect. A place where they can change when needed, but not each grant cycle.

Administrator comment
Please change the color of the Administrator Comment box!
When we provide comments for our applicants, they are constantly complaining that the box blends in with the rest of the white and off-white colors and words on the screen. It's true!
Please change the white box to a colored box or allow administrators to choose the color of the box or change the text color for administrator comments. This small change would improve the applicant experience.

Non-Assigned Users to View Follow Up Forms (GLM)
I have several agencies with multiple representatives involved in the grant process. I'd love for a way to allow non-assigned applicants to view all forms (during all statuses) and have the option to submit forms; or create an "all-inclusive collaborate" option so the person who initially applies can allow others to submit any forms and not one specific follow-up.

Prevent Duplicate Applications in SLM
Bumping this back to the top of the list - please strongly consider only allowing one application per process to be started at a time within a process cycle.
When we have multiple processes running (for us it just increased again this year, in the 30s) and 550+ active applications, we need a better way to keep the numbers accurate and moving things through the process clean and as efficient as we can. Please limit them to one application start within a process and change the apply button within the tiles that match to them to "Continue" if they've started…3 votes -
Project Name included on Applicant Dashboard
In the new version of the applicant experience (which we are big fans of!), I love that the process is listed up front, our grantees used to struggle with identifying their different grants and which program they were connected to, but now the project name doesn't seem to be reflected anywhere on the new applicant home page. For our grantees/organizations that may have more than one project in a process (fairly common with local universities or hospital systems) the follow ups are indistinguishable unless they click into the form. Is there anywhere or any way that the project name could…

Preview Application Form
Please add back the live form preview option on the new user dashboard rather than just the PDF option.

Process Manager
In the process manager, there is currently 2 buckets for processes to live:
-Available
-ArchiveWe'd like to see a third option for processes to live for historical management:
-Available/Active
-Unavailable/Inactive
-Archive/HistoricalWe have processes that have gone through several updates over time. It would be nice to keep what we need in Available/Active and Unavailable/Inactive buckets but older version in Archive/Historical that are not so forward facing. Not available on the immediate search area/filter area. A place for historical process to go and live instead of deleting or saving a PDF version on our internal drives.
It would also…

Allow Users to Upload Files to Organization Documents
Currently we request financial audits at the application and report stage in a grant cycle. This often means the same audit lives in two places.
I would be great if users could upload files (audits, in this case) to the Organization Documents tab to keep everything in one place.

Increase Custom Message Visibility
Custom Message/Yellow Card - In the New Dashboard, the yellow card/custom message card in the upper left corner needs to have the visibility adjusted so more of our custom message can be seen, similar to the other cards. Right now, it is cut in half with a large blank space that serves no purpose.

Draft Due Dates Update Automatically w/New Process Due Date
When extending the due date for a process, the LOIs that were already in draft status didn't update to the new due date. This caused confusion for the applicant when trying to submit the LOI. The solution was for our team to go into each draft individually and change the due date for drafts created before the process extension. (Drafts created after the extension showed the new due date.)

comment
We would love if in the comment section you can add a date, not just have it default to the date it was added. We might go in once a week and add all the emails and comments, but it will only put in the date we enter it. AND if we edit it, it gives a new date, not the one it was created on.
Wouldn't hurt if we could attach a document to a comment :)

SLM/GLM ability for Applicants to Chat with Foundation staff
A Chat feature to be able to help students in the moment could be very helpful.
Student behavior - Once they leave an application it is hard to get them back to finish it. Students are used to using a CHAT feature when they need help. They often won't pick up a phone for help & are hesitant to send emails.
I would rather help them in the moment then spend time on my Dashboard figuring out why they have some applications in draft, some in submitted and emailing them how to keep going. (Students often don't read emails)
It…

I think users/members of an organization should be able to make other users in their organization inactive rather than admin having to do it on the backend.
It appears that a lot of users were ported over from our last system which makes it so the user profiles for many organizations that we work with are outdated. We as admin don't know who's current in their organizations and who is inactive. They know. Additionally, board members and board presidents change roles frequently. It would be helpful if organizations could manage that themselves as opposed to admin having to do that.
