Spendable Grants - assign primary advisor
Create Spendable grants should assign the primary advisor to the grant. Otherwise, we have to go in and assign this manually to every grant. These are usually very large grant runs, and things like description and account numbers are preassigned, so not auto populating the advisor defeats the purpose.

Grants: The Primary Fund Advisor for a Fund will now be added as the Grant Advisor when creating a spendable grant.

FA Donation Notification - add email address and phone number to content
Greetings,
Regarding the donation notification that fund advisors can receive for funds they advise each time a donation is made, can the email notification be customized to also include the contact information of the donor, like their email address and phone number?
Warm regards,

You deactivated the ability to export results when you do an income statement with FUNDS selected as the column option. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!
You deactivated the ability to export results when you do an income statement with FUNDS selected as the column option. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!
There is no other way to get this information in CS ...we need it internally and our auditors specifically asked for and need it this year as they used it last year for their review of our funds

Advisor Field on Recurring Grants
Currently, recurring grants only have the advisor field populate when the request is created through the donor portal (which is great!), but if we create a manual recurring grant, there is no way to set the advisor on the recurring grant level, and still have to manually edit this on each occurrence. It would be great to have the advisor field on the recurring grant record itself that would carry over to each occurrence.
4 votes10/12/2023: Grants: Added the ability to add a Grant Advisor to Recurring Grants on creation or edit. This will allow foundations to create Recurring Grants with an Grant Advisor in the backend, instead of having to login into the Fund Advisor portal. Recurring Grants will now populate the Grant Type, Template, and Service Area once the grant has been created. Grant Type and Service Area will populate from the Grantee Record and if there aren't any from the Fund Record. Any Grant Custom Fields will still need to be completed on the created grants.

Custom Report ID
Report ID's for custom reporting should be listed next to a Custom Report Title for reference instead of having to close out reports to identify this information. This would allow for custom reports to stay open and active while discussing issues with CSuite Support Teams.
11 votesThe custom report id now shows on the custom report list. A description field was also added to allow the User to shed light on the reason/purpose of the report. This was released in May, 2023.

Multiple Grant Recommendations and Saved Grant Recs
It would be great if funds advisors could submit more than 1 grant recommendation at a time AND have the ability to save grant recommendations in the portal to come back to at a later time.

fund advisor designation
Fund advisor is now missing in the fund area and the profile designation area. It would be nice to have this option back again.

Can you add a search function for profiles by profile ID?

Exclude prefix from profile search
I want to be able to search by "Smith, Joe" without having to type in "Smith, Mr. Joe". The profile search used to let me put in "Smith, Joe" but since the latest update it no longer does, and when you are trying to link a profile or search for profile from donation page it doesn't ignore prefix there either. I don't always know whether the person is a Ms. Miss, Mrs. etc, so it consumes time looking through the list for the correct profile.
31 votes5/3/2023: Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement. Foundant is excited to take so many of the User submitted ideas from idea lab and make them happen in the software. Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.
The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed. This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns. With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header. This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record. Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well. For easier navigation, the profile name…

grant catalog request attachments
Grant catalog grantee request form has option to add attachments as it relates to grant request but attachments don't publish to portal - would be great if donors could see all info provided from grantee.
3 votes10/4/2023:Grants: Enhanced the look of the Grant Catalog by adding tabs: Details, Grantees, Content. This will allow for better organization of the fields within a grant Catalog. The header box will be a quick reference point for the Catalog ID, Request Dates, Catalog Dates, and the Funding Goal.
From the Details tab, users will find the detail options and settings, grant categories, and the reporting for the Grant Catalog. Added the functionality for Grant Catalogs to allow for a Nonprofit to receive a donation amount over the Requested amount. This new option is a checkbox on the Grant Catalog Details tab, Allow Overfund Grants. Once the grant has been fully funded, it will move from the Unfunded Bucket to the New Bucket.
Grantees Tab will be house all of the Grantees information. On the left hand menu, users will find a new options to Invite Grantees to the Grant Catalog.…

Customizable subject and message for email ticket receipts
We were excited to see that when someone purchases a ticket for an event, that the system sends them the receipt letter we created. The bad news is, it 100% looks like spam because the subject and message are vague and there is an attachment.
The email reads like this (edited for privacy):
----- Forwarded Message ----- From: Licking County Foundation <no-reply@fcsuite.com> To: "fcptester@emailserver.com" <name1@server.com> Sent: Monday, February 27, 2023 at 04:33:25 PM EST Subject: Registration Receipt Attached is your registration receipt.
I would not open something that looked like this. And our workplace cybersecurity policy also wouldn't even permit…
56 votes11/1/2023:Added Ticket Receipt Email Subject and Ticket Receipt Email Body to the Details tab on Campaigns. This will allow users to add a customized email message and subject line for ticket purchases. The Ticket Receipt Email Body will be HTML compatible, but no merge fields for this content block.

Fund Fee Types Note
It would be helpful to have the "Add Note" option on Admin Fee - Fund Fee Types. We have some unusual fees that are specific to certain funds and/or situations and it would be nice to be able to spell that out more clearly on the Fund Fee Type itself.
2 votes5/22/2023: Admin Fee: The following enhancements are now available for Admin Fees: the ability to set funds in bulk to an admin fee type, an option to add a note to an admin fee, and on manual admin fees, the ability to select the receiving fund and accounts. The ability to create a manual admin fee is now an option in the left hand menu on the admin fee page.
Also enhanced the fund record’s Admin fee section to have a start date field. This start date can be used to enter a starting date to begin processing admin fees on a fund. The start date will look at the admin fees posting date. For example, if the fund’s admin fee start date is set to 1/1 and admin fee posting date is 12/31, it will not charge that fund for that admin fee.
Enhanced the admin fee types to…

Ability to edit processing fee verbiage on donate page
This suggestion refers to the donation page when a donor is making a donation on our website. There is a "checkbox" for a donor to choose if they would like to pay the optional 3% processing fee. At this time, it is not possible to change the wording for this field, as it is hardcoded in the system. Current verbiage is attached in a screenshot.
It would be great it we had the capability to edit this language to something more friendly like...
"if you cover the processing fee, we will receive 100% of your donation"
or
"I'd like to…4 votes -
Improve Campaign Requests
Requests should be available to people when they register the first time as individuals (they should only have to register ONCE at that), because people don't think to add a guest. Our community members definitely haven't figured this out, and it's too confusing to explain to them. When a user registers under an organization, there should be a first and last name option so we know who is representing the org at the event, etc.
We would GREATLY appreciate these changes before the production launch in April!! We want the registration process for folks to be as streamlined and simple…
12 votes9/6/2023: Campaigns: Added the ability to add a Request Type to a campaign. This will allow clients to organize more that one request type on a campaign. Request Types can be multiselect or single select. The Request Type Name field can hold up to 255 characters. Current requests will appear in a n/a group until a request type is created and assigned to the request. Clients may take caution in changing since these have all been multiselect to make sure and note which item was selected for the ticket purchaser before modifying the request.

Importing Donations with Tributes
When importing donations with Tributes, we often do NOT want to notify anyone. We just want to record the "in honor" name. We used to not be required to enter any notify information. Now we are required to enter notify method, notify name etc. Could we go back to not being required to enter those fields? Thanks!
1 vote8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.
The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item. This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field. This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.
A status field has been added to tributes. By default, all tributes are now public. The public status will allow…

Mark as Contact Information Not Found
When reviewing tributes, many donors do not add the contact information of their "In honor of" or "In memory of" - for these donations, we'd love a way to mark them as "Contact Information Not Found" instead of having to mark them as "Sent" even though we're not able to send them out.

Make Sort Available on Opportunities List
The sort function isn't available on the opportunities list (despite the sort icon showing at the top of a column). Please make the sort function available on this and other lists. Having to create a custom report just to sort by date is a hassle.
7 votesTables in CSuite can be sorted once the default sort is removed. The Opportunity table buckets are sorted by ID. In order to turn this off, select the ID header until the arrow disappears. Then select another column to sort. You can also select the column you would like as the secondary sort, then remove the id sort. Please contact support@foundant.com if you have further questions.

Does anyone know why anytime you put in a new profile that it wants to sync it with GLM profiles. This sets up for more error on my end, since I don't have anything to do with GLM and takes more time with more steps. Am I the only one that feels this way, or is there a way to shut off this feature?
3 votesProfiles: Resolved an issue with GLM search being required on every profile creation.

ability to make grant documents shareable with fund advisors
I'm (finally!) loving the new process for generating grant documents (e.g., letters that we send with checks). Our Fund Advisors ask for copies of those letters to be uploaded via the portal so that they see exactly what the charity sees when the check arrives. (It also gives them comfort that we actually sent the check.) Currently, I scan each letter and attach it as a shareable PDF at the grant level. Now that the system automatically attaches the letter at the grant level, it would be great it I could simply mark that as shareable without having to upload…
6 votesThere is an option to share an attached a file to a grant. Attaching a file to a grant and then clicking Share will share the file with all fund advisors who have access to the Grants tab on the fund advisor portal and are advisors to the granting fund.

steward
We would like to be able to pull the Fund Steward's (staff) name into fund donors grant reporting as a column so that we can provide the stewards weekly reports on how their funds are sending out grants. Since we do not have fund stewards as grant approvers, they do not see donor advised grants heading out the door so setting up a recurring report would keep them up to date.
