  1. Add a profile field(s) for the pronunciation of first and/or last names. Currently a user needs to add an alert note on the profile, but it would be great to have a designated field.

  2. Adding to the Financial View Group -Type, Other Revenue and Other Expense. Since the stock market has been so volatile the huge unrealized loss value distorts the foundation's operational performance. Having the ability to move the investment activity to a separate "Other Income" section at the bottom of the statement could be helpful for Foundation board members. There would be a sub-total line for Revenues less Expenses before Other Income and Other Expense.

  3. We would like for any expense in the Grants GL to post through only Grants Liability. Any Scholarship expense to post only through Scholarship Liability and all other Accounts Payable to post through AP. Having all Grants, Scholarships and AP post in each liability THEN through AP inflates AP amounts at any given time and takes significant filtering and research to ensure actual accounts payable amounts are accurate for financial reporting and audit purposes. If cSuite can connect each GL expense to the appropriate liability and allow payments from those liabilities individually, the process would be clear and the accounts…

    Grants and Scholarships move from one payable to another based on the status they are in.  A/P should not be inflated based on this work flow.  When a Scholarship is awarded it creates a Scholarship Payable, when vouchered, it becomes a Grant Payable and when marked for payment, it becomes AP.  A Grant follows a similar work flow.  We did update the Payable reporting and historical reporting for payables for easier reconciliation and tracking with the release on 11/2/2022.

  4. Once you have a guest list for a campaign built - it would be nice to be able to assign a profile type to all of these profiles, or a way to save that list - making it easier to create campaigns in the future without having to rebuild a new guest list every time

    There is an option to add a profile type in bulk from a custom report.  For this request, create a Campaign Profile Report and at a minimum include the profile id.  When a profile id is added to a custom report, it opens a left side menu option titled Bulk Actions.  In that list is an option to +Add to Profile Type and all profiles in the list will be added.  So simply filter to the campaign and add to the profile list.  Please contact Success if you need help building this report.

  5. When there is a group of donors that want to give, it would be great to have a way to group their donations together. We have groups of people that like to give individually (to get the tax benefit), and it would be great to be able to identify or tag those gifts as a group.

  6. Can there be a way to add a Sponsored Organization on a vendor's voucher the same way you do on a grant. We have a lot of expenses paid via credit card and it would be helpful to be able to create a voucher with the vendor's name (ex. Dominion Energy) but make the check payable to our credit card since that is how the bill is paid. This way we can easily search/review expenses instead of having to dig through our credit card transactions.

  7. Is there any way for you to email us new IdeaLab entries once a month? I was notified of several ideas that you just archived. If I had seen them before this, I would have voted for several.

    For me, as I'm sure for most of your clients, there is a lot to do and slogging through the IdeaLab rarely pops to the top of my priority list. If you send a list of new ideas in an email, I could more readily review them and determine which ones are worth a closer look.

  9. It would be helpful to have the ability to bulk "approve payment" on grants in the New bucket. I often utilize the grant import feature when I have multiple grants from the same fund, but I then have to go back into each individual grant to approve the payment. Having the ability to bulk approve payments would increase efficiency.

    The ability to batch approve the payments lines for grants is an option in the voucher bucket.  Do you import the grants with the same grant date?  If so, filter to that grant date and batch approve once the grant has been posted.  There is also a setting to disable the payment line approval.  It is in Grant>Settings>Edit settings, then set Auto Approve Grant Payments to yes.  I would contact success if you need further guidance with this process.

  10. When a grant is copied in Csuite, custom fields from the original grant should also copy to the new grant with the option to make changes as needed.

  11. The Sandbox pop-up is indicating that you are planning to remove default reports and put them under custom only. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE the default reports!!! We use these DAILY!

  12. We would like to be able to see from the Fund record who the required signatories are to make a grant recommendation. How are other community foundations doing this? Many agency, committee, corporate, and designated funds have more than one fund advisor listed who can recommend a grant and don't require additional signatures. Some funds are set up so ALL fund advisors are required to make a grant. Right now, we have to open the fund agreement for each fund to determine what is required. We are considering a custom field, but wanted to know how other people do this.…

    I would use a custom field if you are needing to do reports with this information.  You could also add an alert to grants for that fund with the information. Like this fund requires 2 signatures before processing grants..that would be a good way to see the information quickly.

  13. I often like to put a very simple note on a check record to indicate that I put the check in the mail. But that whole notes box is a lot and that small a note gets lost visually...what if we could have a mailed/sent check box? As I'm looking at the grid of check info, the memo line is editable regardless of posted status, so I could do a workaround and use that maybe...but it would be nice to have the option for an "in the mail" check box and date entry - for checks and any letters that…

  14. Allow an organization to choose whether file share is defaulted to yes or no. In entering vouchers, when attaching files, it would speed up entry if we didn't have to go in and click on yes to share the attachement for each and every voucher.

  15. The current 990 grantee report works well. The only thing that is done manually is the exclude distributions from endowed/designated funds. They are earnings from their funds and distributions were made to the nonprofits, not considered grants. If we can look for certain GL in this report, we can exclude distributions to accurately report grantees who received more than certain amount when reporting 990. Thank you
