Financials Column Options - put the dropdown back on the financial statement screen
I understand that the dropdown selection for financials columns (fund, fund segment, fund division, etc.) has been moved under the "Edit" option on the left menu. This seems very hidden and many more clicks to get to. Please put it back on the top right corner of the report screen! Support said many people have been wondering today where that option went.

fund count
Would love to have a "one click" spot to find the total count of active funds in CSuite (even better - have a count on total funds AND the count of types of funds, etc.). Right now, I have to run a custom report. The number of funds is a basic data point that we use and are asked about and I'm sure other Foundations need on a regular basis.
40 votesThe fund count was removed from the Fund Summary because it was confusing. It only included open funds on the date the report was run yet the other data was based on a range. It also included system funds and sub-funds. The best was to accomplish this is a custom report. Attached is a screenshot of an example.

Check numbers on voucher statements
We would like to see the corresponding check number be added on to the voucher statements as our auditors are now requesting we save them.

Fund advisor profile merge requires new donor portal access
When merging duplicate Fund Advisor profiles, the existing fund advisor URL is disabled and a new login is required to be sent.
Can this be reviewed so that FA's do not lose their access to their portal login when a profile merge is actioned.
21 votesWhen merging profiles, you must maintain the profile that has the Advisor designation so that the login remains.

1099 code needs to be on voucher line level not only broadly on vendor or GL
My question is related to some activity being paid is subject to 1099 and some activity is not. Same vendor but maybe a combination on invoice payment.
FIMS would give us the option to assign at voucher level. Is there any way to do this in CSuite? Or can I only do a broad G/L account or broad profile option? This makes preparing 1099’s a bit cumbersome.
21 votesIn order to create an accurate 1099 report in CSuite, you will need to create an account that is subject to 1099 report and one that is not. This is different from FIMS, 1099 is set at the account level, not the detail voucher line. For example, create an account for Professional Fees (subject to 1099 reporting) and another Professional Fees (no subject to 1099 reporting). You could use sub accounts in this example as well.

Portal Login System Email Address
We just sent login information for the Fund Advisor Portal and were surprised to see the system email (with the unique URL to create their password) was mailed to the primary profile email and NOT the email selected as the login. It would be nice if it went to the email we selected as login.
19 votesThere is not an option to set a separate email for a fund advisor. The confusion could be when the login name is set as the email. This field does not have to be an email, therefore the email goes to the primary email from the Fund Advisor profile.

Pronoun Field
It would be nice to have a place on the individual profiles for pronouns. Would help with individual correspondence to the person and to record pronouns that you've been given for a person.
It would be best if this field were separate from the gender field. Someone's gender does not necessarily inform what their pronouns are.
If this is added, please ensure that the pronouns can be mixed (example: she/they)

Grant History Reports
Grantee reports showing previous grants applied for, denied, amount funded and amount requested. This is one report we really miss from FIMS. Also if you could pull this from the fund report side too.
16 votesGrant applications are not available in CSuite, so this report is not possible. You should be able to report on denied and awarded grants with a Custom Report sorted by Grantee.

It would be really great if when printing the statement of activities pages that the column headers repeated on the second page. Thanks

PDF report headings on each page
When printing multiple page financial reports, it would awesome to have the column headings print at the top of the column on each page for ease of reading.

Archive recurring donations
It would be helpful to add an option to archive recurring payments rather than deleting these from the system. That way we are able to identify previous gifts that were made as a recurring payment.
Additionally another issue we see is for a recurring payment that ends this month, but still has the following month listed in "next date" for payment.
11 votesThe recurring donations table displays open records only. If a User would like to see closed/archived, they would need to remove the filter that is set to closed.

Categorize unsent Tax Receipt letter view as "Unposted" and "Posted/Recent"
Categorize the Tax Receipt page that shows unsent tax receipts as either "Unposted" or "Posted/Recent", consistent with the Donation page. We post gifts and then send letters, and this view would be helpful to make sure we don't send a tax receipt letter before the gift has been reviewed.

1099 indicator for reimbursements
I see there are several requests related to separating reimbursements from grants and fees for independent contractors. There is a work out that says we have to go to the GL to indicate if a certain GL should be on 1099. I would prefer to see a field or check box next to each voucher line item that can be checked for 1099. If for instance, consulting GL is marked as 1099, that code can be used to pay different entities including ones who don't need to receive 1099s.
10 votesIn CSuite the accounts will remain the main source for recording 1099 expense data. If you have a line item for a voucher that should not be included in a 1099, it is recommended that you create another account (this could be a sub-account) that is not a 1099 account. As an example, professional fees subject to 1099 report and a separate account (OR this could be a sub-account) that is professional fees not subject to 1099 report.

Donation Portal - View All - Sort Funds by Group
We have 800+ funds and only want to promote ~10 of them on our donation page, sorted by group. However, when you click View All Funds, we would love the option to sort by group, not just alphabetically.
8 votesWith the donor portal revisions (currently in Sandbox) with plans to release in March 2024, there will be the option to promote funds and they will display in the sort order defined by the Foundation. Groups will no longer drive the way Funds display in the portal.

add campaign to voucher when is created
I know I can add an expense to a campaign after the voucher is created, but that is an extra step. It would be better to add it to a campaign during the voucher creation process.

entering check for a ticket allow for extra donation
Online ticket purchases allow the option for a customer to add a donation on top of the ticket price. However, when you enter a check payment for the ticket, the option to include a donation on top of the ticket is not available.
6 votesIn order to create both a ticket purchase and donation, please start with a payment, then create the donation and ticket record to associate with the one payment.

Report name on filtered/saved Financial Reports
Can we please have a saved/filtered report name below the actual name of the report? It would be nice and helpful to see what filtered report you are looking at by seeing its name at the top of the page before the filters. Some of our saved/filtered reports are very similar and instead of looking at all 6 filters... it would be easier to see the name of the saved report at the top.

File Category Restrictions/Permissions
Currently, most of our users do not have access to journal entries in CSuite; however, if they go into the "Files" section, they are able to open the journal entry support that was attached to the JE that they could not access. Due to the sometimes sensitive information, it would be beneficial if we could choose who has access to which file category or if the file is attached to a process/area of CSuite that the user does not have access to, their access to the attached files should also be restricted.
6 votesFiles attached to journal entries are now restricted to those Users who have view access to Journal Entries. We are not able to restrict access to specific files at this time.
