expiry column for staff contacts list
When we review our staff contacts in the CRM, there is no way to see in the list view whether we have added an expiry date or not. We have to open each individual to check. The Support team told me I cannot add the expire date field as a column to the list view using list syntax.
The expire date is accessed by going into the contact and clicking on Actions (top menu) > Edit Roles and Access.
It would help to be able to quickly tell if a user has an associated expiry date on their role access.…

Allow use of status group names in the status indicator without affecting all other status views in the system
We'd like to use the status group names in the status indicator on L1 for internal users, but we don't want the group name to show to those users across the system in all list views, etc. - there are other places where they need to see the granularity. The use case for the status group name in the status indicator is to get a quick, high-level understanding of the phase of our process the record is in. In list views, etc. the same users typically need to see the exact status more granularly in other places for different reasons.

More options for colour-coding
More options for colour coding
We would like to see expanded options for colour coding in the system. For example, it would be helpful to colour code each project’s overall risk assessment in the list view — using red for high risk, amber for medium, and green for low.
As an alternative (or complement), a traffic light–style visual indicator could be added to improve quick scanning and enhance usability.

Enable "File from Local Disk" for Group Emails also
Currently, the "File from Local Disk" option is only available on the Message Center email. It'll be useful to have the option to select a file from the local disk when using Group Emails, also.

Send CSuite grants into SmartSimple
All grantees are required to complete an application for every grant, regardless of how it is initiated. Need to be able to send grant requests that start in the donor portal in CommunitySuite into SmartSimple in a pre-approval status so that applicants can complete an application.

Add 3+ layer parent/child relationships of tags to the tag library, and make them searchable based on parent/child status as well as by tag.
Use case:

Enable role filters for Contact Association Listviews in the Submission Manager
We would like to be able to create role filters for contact association listviews in the submission manager. This capability is already available for global contact listviews, and we believe it would be useful to build custom filter settings to make grant contacts easier to navigate. E.g., a list of all reviewers assigned to a grant, communications contacts, etc. This would enable staff members to open a list of contacts and immediately parse the individuals with whom they'd like to interact directly without navigating through several other names.

Tracking Recent Actions of Users
We’re wondering if there’s a setting or feature we could enable that would allow a user to see their own recent activity in SmartSimple.
This could be somewhat general (e.g., modified grant ID X on X date/time, modified Organization X on X date/time, etc.) or more granular (e.g., updated field X on grant ID X on X date/time, created a note on grant ID X on X date/time, etc.).
This would be helpful for internal staff members who are adding Notes or making changes to many grant records and want to look back at which grants they've recently edited.

Expand popup for annotation replies
The annotation reply is quite small if you had a multi paragraph write-up that needs to be edited/annotated.
We would greatly value for an ability to expand annotation reply size (field value specifically). Yes, you can change the field length from bottom right corner, but that's quite restrictive for a multi paragraph reply

Better integration of captions/details on image files and videos to support assessment portfolio style content.
We current use an advanced data table to collect portfolio specifics (such as medium, description etc.) and use media library. This is cumbersome for assessors (who mostly use laptops) and review applications in split screen. Issues include:
-challenges reviewing both table and image in split screen (small, challenging to navigate both). Would be better if info was combined in some way
-advance table columns can't be expanded width-wise and don't auto expand lengthwise so it is visually challenging to review longer pieces of text

Link Payments and Reports to support automation
We'd like to link Payments and Reports in a meaningful way to support automated Payment Status updates. We currently have a 'soft link' configured so that you can see required Reports and their approval status on a Payment record. But staff must manually update the Payment status once all associated Reports are in an Approved Status.

Scheduled Export to multiple people in the same thread
When using the scheduled export report option I can add multiple users to the export but they all receive separate emails and are not aware of who received it. Support recommended we create a distribution list and use that but unfortunately that is not an option for us.

Re-use previous notification
Add the possibility to re-activate a previous notification. Currently we set up a notification for a period of time and once this period is over the notification becomes archived and non-editable. It would be great if we could re-use a previously made notification by simply re-activating it and setting up a new period of time of its visibility.

Add resolved status to annotations dataset
Would be really useful to be able to report on whether or not annotations are resolved, as then you could use the report property to create SmartCheck validations and/or have fields display conditionally based on if there are any unresolved annotations or not.

We see the bigger opportunity is to easily validate against unresolved annotations and will consider this in the future.

Page to last/next page from button of list view list from My Profile
UX on list view differs from profile. From list view, the next/last page sticks to top of page as you scroll. On dashboard, it doesn't and when you scroll down through results you lose the next/back buttons.
Would be good to have similar functionality on "My Profile" that exists for list views

Different colour banner for emulate vs. backup
I often work in the back-up and prod sites concurrently. I rely on the top orange banner to know that when I am in back-up. However, when I am in the live site and click emulate user, I get an orange banner across the top of the prod site. This makes me nervous that I will get distracted and forget that it is the live site.
Can the emulate banner please be a different colour than the backup banner?

Tracking processing times via status report

We have been asked to report on the length of time in review for monitoring the workload and efficacy of our staff.
We have created a status duration report but it will not calculate the length of time in the current grant status. Yet, when we click on the status history for an individual file, it lists the length of time in each grant status including the current status.
We basically want the numbers listed on the graph in the individual status history but in a table with all the other files.

Reduce Configuration Requirements for Word Merge
There are clients who leverage the word merge field to consolidate data across multiple L2s (often grant reports) under a grant application and map it to a word template. The configuration for this is very syntax heavy and leverages a lot of list syntax and/or report property syntax.
The amount of effort to support clients with this functionality often warrants an RFS. It would be nice to have a UI for selecting the L2s and the fields to be included in the word template. Some HTML work will still be required but perhaps we can eliminate the need for list…

Rich Text Editor - Add Header option
The old Rich Text Editor had the option to add headers to text without using tags. It would be ideal if this functionality could be added back into the new Rich Text Editor. This would save our users a lot of time.
