  1. Service Area, Grant Type (for which we use NTEE codes), and Grant Advisor must be entered for every grant. It would be helpful if the Service Area and Grant Type were default based on the profile of the grantee, and the Grant Advisor were default based on the fund.

Our Foundation is concerned that including interfund grants in our total grant amounts artificially inflates the numbers because the same money counts as a grant both going between funds and again when it's granted out. It would be great if there were a filter option so we could easily filter out interfund grants when we pull grant reports.

  4. I would like an option to complete multiple grants all at one time, but not ALL grants. Our organization utilizes this function to track when our organizations have submitted their completed grant reports on how funds were used. We process grants and two different types of scholarships. We don't need grant reports for scholarships so I want to mark them complete right after processing them. Right now though this is an all or nothing feature from what I can tell so I have to manually go into each grant and complete it because I don't want to bulk complete all…

    6/5/2024: Summit Idea Lab-Enhanced the Paid bucket in Grants to a custom report to allow for filtering options. This will also allow for the ability to select grants in bulk or individual grants to move to Complete bucket.

    No Permissions Changed.

  5. Please add the Spendable Balance field to the list of available fields in the Fund - Custom Report. We have several custom fund reports that we could produce directly from CSuite if we could add that current spendable amount also. As it is, we must export and either merge with the spendable field from the fund balance report or manually enter the spendables into our Excel spreadsheet.

  7. It's nice being able to see on the screen gifts given by quarter and year. However, it would be nice to have an option to see the entire grant history on the screen as well. And if we could also sort the rows by column headers that would be great. That way I could sort by grantee name and quickly find the information I'm looking for.

    3/31/2025:Idea Lab Live:

    Funds: Added the Grant Advisor field to Grant Beneficiary table on fund. This will allow users to select from a list of fund advisors for the fund to complete the grant advisor field on spendable grants upon creation. This field will be a limited list of fund advisors on the fund.


    Grants: Updated spendable grants to allow for the grant advisors to be populated from the fund record in the Fund Beneficiary table. When creating spendable grants, the field will populate on the table for users to review before processing the grants. Users will be able to remove and then edit the grant advisor from the grant new bucket.


    Fund Advisors: Updated internal grants to send donation notifications to the fund advisor, if the Donation Notify checkbox is enabled for the fund advisor. Prior to this release internal donation did not send notifications to the fund advisors.…

  10. When running a donor/donations/grants/grantee report from the funds page, it would be nice to have an option to select "all dates". When I'm running these reports, I find the majority of the time I want to see all donations/grants to/from a particular fund, not just for a certain year or quarter. I'm constantly typing in a date range of 01/01/1900 - 12/31/2019. Not a major concern, just something I've always thought would be helpful.

  11. Currently, if a check run has both electronic and check grants, every grant letter is printed when you click print grant letters and every grant letter is emailed when you click email grant letters.
    It would be great if the system only emailed grant letters for grants that are being paid electronically, and only printed grant letters for the grant s being paid by check.
    Alternatively, another set of buttons could be added to "Email grant letters - electronic" and "Email grant letters - checks", etc so that folks can still get letters for the full check run if needed.

    Templates for Grant & Scholarship Letters: Moved the processing of Grant & Scholarship letters from the check area. This will allow program staff the ability to create grant and scholarship letters separate from the creation of checks. There is now a documents bucket in grants and scholarships. Letters will still be grouped by check batch so that clients can easily print or email letters in bulk. If the check batch is unposted, it will remove the batch from the documents bucket. If clients, recreate a check both letters will attach to the grant/scholarship. When emailing grant/scholarship letters, the email address will pull from the primary email on the profile. The grant and scholarship letters will now attach to the grant or scholarship record once produced.

  12. When you select Gift and/or Grant Notify from the portal, the auto message is not editable and does not look like it's actually coming from our Foundation. It would be helpful to make this an editable template.

  13. Recurring Grants

    We have the option to save a file attachment to a recurring grant that is created. However, the attachment does not merge/carry over once the grant is created. It only remains on the recurrent grant, which is not helpful when the documentation is needed on the individual grant level as well. Please consider allowing important documents to be attached with grants that are created from the recurring grant list.

  14. Please consider allowing users to print the Grant letters from the Grant Record rather than the Check Record. In Permissions, anyone who can see grant checks can see all checks, including payroll checks.

    Perhaps you could add an option from the grant payment schedule line to reprint the grant letter. It could be placed between checkid and checkdate.

  16. When creating a grant, the creator can select from a number of templates. It would be good to have that same functionality when entering donations, so the person entering the donation could select a donation letter template right then on the spot. It would give them more flexibility and it would be quicker.

  17. CSuite should have a template for invoices, similar to for grant letters and thank you letters.

    The current default invoice does not work well is very hard to use. We often don't use it when we should and instead create Word doc invoices. This is because:
    1) We can't put in any additional information, description, contact info, etc. on the invoice
    2) the format is not professional looking.
    3) We cannot download and edit it and print it and send a paper copy to someone.

    4) There is no way to indicate that the invoice has been paid (this is…

  18. Currently when an advisor requests a grant we have four staff members who receive the notification email about the request. However, the email only includes the advisor name in the notification. Is it possible to have the notification include the grantee and amount that is being requested?

  19. Now that we have the ability to email grant award letters (yay!) it would be so helpful to have the option to email the letter to multiple email address in addition to the primary email via Check run Batches.

  20. For the 990 report under the "Nonprofit" section there needs to be additional columns added in order to meet IRS reporting requirements. We need the IRC added as well as the grant purpose.
