start date for recurring donation
Our donors who set up recurring gifts have asked for the online donation portal to include a "Start Date" for the recurring gift as well as an end date.
5 votesFor recurring donations initiated from a donation page, the start date will remain the date the first recurring donation is made.

1099 electronic filing from system
Please consider the ability to print and file 1099 electronically from the system
4 votesWe will not be adding the option to directly print 1099's from CSuite. Instead, you do have the option to create a 1099 file which can be exported. There are many online options for printing 1099's by the form. The 1099 export file can be used for the import.

entering check for a ticket allow for extra donation
Online ticket purchases allow the option for a customer to add a donation on top of the ticket price. However, when you enter a check payment for the ticket, the option to include a donation on top of the ticket is not available.
6 votesIn order to create both a ticket purchase and donation, please start with a payment, then create the donation and ticket record to associate with the one payment.

Indicate required signatures for a recommending a grant?
We would like to be able to see from the Fund record who the required signatories are to make a grant recommendation. How are other community foundations doing this? Many agency, committee, corporate, and designated funds have more than one fund advisor listed who can recommend a grant and don't require additional signatures. Some funds are set up so ALL fund advisors are required to make a grant. Right now, we have to open the fund agreement for each fund to determine what is required. We are considering a custom field, but wanted to know how other people do this.…
1 voteI would use a custom field if you are needing to do reports with this information. You could also add an alert to grants for that fund with the information. Like this fund requires 2 signatures before processing grants..that would be a good way to see the information quickly.

Notes
I often like to put a very simple note on a check record to indicate that I put the check in the mail. But that whole notes box is a lot and that small a note gets lost visually...what if we could have a mailed/sent check box? As I'm looking at the grid of check info, the memo line is editable regardless of posted status, so I could do a workaround and use that maybe...but it would be nice to have the option for an "in the mail" check box and date entry - for checks and any letters that…
1 voteI would use a custom field on your voucher or grant. you could do a check box or a date. https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409038143511-Custom-Fields-Overview

tax receipts downloaded in word
There are times when a tax recpt/ty template used for a donation may need a tweak or personalization for various reasons. However, if we do that, we then don't have what we actually sent the donor on the particular donation record bc we downloaded the letter at made the edits in word. Unless we then save and upload to have the proof. PITA. Please please put an editor/template creator in the software so we can have everything we do in one place!

Report name on filtered/saved Financial Reports
Can we please have a saved/filtered report name below the actual name of the report? It would be nice and helpful to see what filtered report you are looking at by seeing its name at the top of the page before the filters. Some of our saved/filtered reports are very similar and instead of looking at all 6 filters... it would be easier to see the name of the saved report at the top.
6 votesWe were not able to pull in the saved names of the reports.

file share
Allow an organization to choose whether file share is defaulted to yes or no. In entering vouchers, when attaching files, it would speed up entry if we didn't have to go in and click on yes to share the attachement for each and every voucher.

Payable GL accounts for clarity in Financial Reporting - Scholarship, Grant and Accounts Payable
We would like for any expense in the Grants GL to post through only Grants Liability. Any Scholarship expense to post only through Scholarship Liability and all other Accounts Payable to post through AP. Having all Grants, Scholarships and AP post in each liability THEN through AP inflates AP amounts at any given time and takes significant filtering and research to ensure actual accounts payable amounts are accurate for financial reporting and audit purposes. If cSuite can connect each GL expense to the appropriate liability and allow payments from those liabilities individually, the process would be clear and the accounts…
2 votesGrants and Scholarships move from one payable to another based on the status they are in. A/P should not be inflated based on this work flow. When a Scholarship is awarded it creates a Scholarship Payable, when vouchered, it becomes a Grant Payable and when marked for payment, it becomes AP. A Grant follows a similar work flow. We did update the Payable reporting and historical reporting for payables for easier reconciliation and tracking with the release on 11/2/2022.

campaign list - add profile type
Once you have a guest list for a campaign built - it would be nice to be able to assign a profile type to all of these profiles, or a way to save that list - making it easier to create campaigns in the future without having to rebuild a new guest list every time
2 votesThere is an option to add a profile type in bulk from a custom report. For this request, create a Campaign Profile Report and at a minimum include the profile id. When a profile id is added to a custom report, it opens a left side menu option titled Bulk Actions. In that list is an option to +Add to Profile Type and all profiles in the list will be added. So simply filter to the campaign and add to the profile list. Please contact Success if you need help building this report.

Pronoun Field
It would be nice to have a place on the individual profiles for pronouns. Would help with individual correspondence to the person and to record pronouns that you've been given for a person.
It would be best if this field were separate from the gender field. Someone's gender does not necessarily inform what their pronouns are.
If this is added, please ensure that the pronouns can be mixed (example: she/they)

990 grants - exclude distribution
The current 990 grantee report works well. The only thing that is done manually is the exclude distributions from endowed/designated funds. They are earnings from their funds and distributions were made to the nonprofits, not considered grants. If we can look for certain GL in this report, we can exclude distributions to accurately report grantees who received more than certain amount when reporting 990. Thank you

Fund statement email formatting.
The Fundstatementemail_body editor needs to work correctly. Right now, the content you create is not formatted in the email the way you write it on the editor. For example, if you put something like the first picture it will show up in an email differently.
I type it in like this:
Dear {name},
Please find attached a Fund Statement for last quarter. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you need anything.
Best regards,
Crewe Foundation
When the email is sent the message shows up as one line. It looks really bad, kind of…
5 votesThe Fund Statement Email Body content area supports HTML for formatting. Inserting <br> is the HTML code needed to insert a line in the content.

File Category Restrictions/Permissions
Currently, most of our users do not have access to journal entries in CSuite; however, if they go into the "Files" section, they are able to open the journal entry support that was attached to the JE that they could not access. Due to the sometimes sensitive information, it would be beneficial if we could choose who has access to which file category or if the file is attached to a process/area of CSuite that the user does not have access to, their access to the attached files should also be restricted.
6 votesFiles attached to journal entries are now restricted to those Users who have view access to Journal Entries. We are not able to restrict access to specific files at this time.

Grouped Donations
When there is a group of donors that want to give, it would be great to have a way to group their donations together. We have groups of people that like to give individually (to get the tax benefit), and it would be great to be able to identify or tag those gifts as a group.

Fund advisor profile merge requires new donor portal access
When merging duplicate Fund Advisor profiles, the existing fund advisor URL is disabled and a new login is required to be sent.
Can this be reviewed so that FA's do not lose their access to their portal login when a profile merge is actioned.
21 votesWhen merging profiles, you must maintain the profile that has the Advisor designation so that the login remains.

Statement of Activities
It would be really great if when printing the statement of activities pages that the column headers repeated on the second page. Thanks
15 votesAfter speaking to our Developers, the report header will only be available on the first page.

1099 code needs to be on voucher line level not only broadly on vendor or GL
My question is related to some activity being paid is subject to 1099 and some activity is not. Same vendor but maybe a combination on invoice payment.
FIMS would give us the option to assign at voucher level. Is there any way to do this in CSuite? Or can I only do a broad G/L account or broad profile option? This makes preparing 1099’s a bit cumbersome.
21 votesIn order to create an accurate 1099 report in CSuite, you will need to create an account that is subject to 1099 report and one that is not. This is different from FIMS, 1099 is set at the account level, not the detail voucher line. For example, create an account for Professional Fees (subject to 1099 reporting) and another Professional Fees (no subject to 1099 reporting). You could use sub accounts in this example as well.

Categorize unsent Tax Receipt letter view as "Unposted" and "Posted/Recent"
Categorize the Tax Receipt page that shows unsent tax receipts as either "Unposted" or "Posted/Recent", consistent with the Donation page. We post gifts and then send letters, and this view would be helpful to make sure we don't send a tax receipt letter before the gift has been reviewed.
