Complete Multiple Grants at One Time
I would like an option to complete multiple grants all at one time, but not ALL grants. Our organization utilizes this function to track when our organizations have submitted their completed grant reports on how funds were used. We process grants and two different types of scholarships. We don't need grant reports for scholarships so I want to mark them complete right after processing them. Right now though this is an all or nothing feature from what I can tell so I have to manually go into each grant and complete it because I don't want to bulk complete all…

Recurring Grant Fields
When creating a recurring grant, it would be much more efficient if certain fields were available to be initially populated. These include the grant advisor, the grant letter template, the grant type, service area, any custom fields, as well as the grant award letter template. Otherwise, these need to be populated every time the grant occurs each time, causing additional work.
31 votes10/12/2023: Grants: Added the ability to add a Grant Advisor to Recurring Grants on creation or edit. This will allow foundations to create Recurring Grants with an Grant Advisor in the backend, instead of having to login into the Fund Advisor portal. Recurring Grants will now populate the Grant Type, Template, and Service Area once the grant has been created. Grant Type and Service Area will populate from the Grantee Record and if there aren't any from the Fund Record. Any Grant Custom Fields will still need to be completed on the created grants.

Add Decision Date to Front End Grant & Scholarship Imports
For the clients that are using decision date on the grants & scholarships without having GLM or SLM there is no way to set the decision date via the front-end imports. It would be beneficial to be able to import into this field with the front-end imports to allow for efficient processing of grants & scholarships. As it is right now once those records are imported the decision date has to be manually updated 1 by 1 in CSuite.
7 votes6/17/2024: Grants: Added Decision Dates and Check Memo fields to the grant import template.
Scholarships: Added the Decision Date field to the Scholarship import template.
Vouchers: Added the Check Memo line to the Voucher import template.

household grant advisor
It would save time and be more efficient if households could be added to the list of drop-down advisors when creating grant requests. Currently, I have to search the individual profile, at times the fund profile, to see if there's an associated household. Then, I have to copy and paste the name into the search bar or type it in. This can take up considerable time if CSuite is running slowly as usual.
It would help improve workflow and reduce margin for errors if households could be added to funds as options for grant advisors.
1 voteAll fund advisor profiles will be included in the drop down if they are set up as fund advisors and associated with a fund. Simply set the household as a fund advisor without any login information and it will become a dropdown option.

Donor portal: Add a required check box when submitting a grant to confirm Grant Eligibility
It would be helpful to have donors acknowledge and confirm with a required checkbox before submitting a grant to confirm that the grant they are submitting is not to be used for Non-Eligible Grantees.
Meaning grants cannot be made for memberships, fulfillment of legally binding pledges, tickets to events, or anything else that provides benefits to the fund holder.
We have several donors that submit grant requests where this is unclear and we have to call and confirm. This checkbox would allow them to acknowledge and call us if any questions about the grant's intention come up.

More easily identify recurring grants on fund records
We need more than one way to find recurring grants, specifically have recurring grants listed on the fund's record. For example if a donor calls and asks what recurring grants they have set up, I am unable to go to their fund record and see their recurring grants. There is not even a field or button that identifies they have a recurring grant. I have have to go into recurring grants and then filter or do an F lookup. Stewards have no easy way to see who has a recurring grants in their portfolio.
13 votes3/13/2024: Funds: Added Recurring Vouchers, Recurring Grants, Recurring Donation tables to the Fund Relationship Tab. This will allow user to easily identify recurring items linked to the fund.

Notify fund advisor when a recurring grant is about to expire
Create an alert or an email notice to donors when they have a recurring grant that is about to end, so they can set up a new recurrence if they choose. Right now, recurrences just end without notification and unless we run reports to follow-up with donors, they may not recall that they set an end date.

Grant "request" tab
It would be most helpful to see notes to staff when viewing listed grants on screen. Some notes include details needing immediate attention in regard to the timeliness of processing the grant recommendation. As of now, the only way to see these notes is by selecting each one individually and checking to see if there are any notes. Even when a report is created, it does not include all notes for some reason. And the report only applies after the grants have been moved to the New bucket.
1 voteThis was released on 2/28/2024:
Notes: Added the ability to share a note. When adding a note, users will see a new checkbox: Share. This will allow users to share a note with the different personas on the Portal. This functionality is complete in the backed of CSuite but NOT completed on the Portal. Currently, if a user shares a note on a grant it will display on the the grant record in the Fund Advisor portal, but no other notes will appear in the Fund Advisor Portal.

Grant: Allow files to stay attached with recurring grants
Recurring Grants
We have the option to save a file attachment to a recurring grant that is created. However, the attachment does not merge/carry over once the grant is created. It only remains on the recurrent grant, which is not helpful when the documentation is needed on the individual grant level as well. Please consider allowing important documents to be attached with grants that are created from the recurring grant list.
39 votes2/14/2024: Grants: Added new functionality to Recurring Grants that will copy attachments from the Recurring Grant to the new grant that is created.

New Grant Process - Checkbox to decline grant document creation
Please enable a checkbox to decline or STOP the creation of a grant document. Many of our internal grants do not need a grant document created but we have no way to turn these off. It add several extra steps to delete the letter which is not applicable.
14 votes- 1-18-2023: Checks: Added the ability to delete or email the grant or scholarship letters from the check id. This will allow clients to remove the grant or scholarship letters if needed.

create spendables
When creating spendables where you have added a grantee beneficiary to funds. Can you please allow Fund names to be listed for users to select "By Fund" and not by a Group? Creating spendable by a group or groups makes it very confusing to work with as so many grants appear in the Grants/New bucket at the same time.
6 votes03/08/2024: Grants: Enhanced Spendable Grants to have checkboxes to all users to select which grants to create. This will allow users a more flexible workflow with spendable grants. (IDEA LAB LIVE)

display grant letter templates in grant record
When creating a grant in Csuite, the grant letter template field just displays "edit". Even if a fund has been assigned a template in system data, there is no way to know what grant letter will pull. If a template has been assigned, it would be nice if that template name displayed in the grant under Grant Letter template.
25 votesGrant letter Template does now appear on the grant record.

Display grants list within a recurring grant in chronological order
Display the grants issued within a recurring grant in chronological order OR add the ability to sort by each column.
7 votesIt is possible to sort the recurring grant list based on any of the columns. The list currently sorts by id, to turn it "off", click on the column until the arrow disappears. Then click on the header of any of the other columns to sort by that column.

NEW GRANT LETTER PROCESS: Date Stamp for Process Documents in Batch
The new process to download grant letters in bulk as word document currently has the Batch ID, CheckID, Vendor, Document (grant letter) and Amount. Please add a field to include the date when this batch was created. It's helpful as to not send duplicate grant letters from weeks ago.

Grant Catalog - Organization Name in Description
Hello, recently we noticed that in the grant catalog if a donor clicks the donation button and a recommendation goes through the donor portal, the internal grant does not pick up the organization's name that they are donating to. If we process a grant manually through "add funding" it does appear the organization's name and purpose. Can we get these to match and show the organization name and purpose for our records?
2 votes9/20/2023: Fund Advisor Portal: In the Grant Summary, added the Fund Name as the Grantee for internal Grants, instead of the Community Foundations Name.

rename 'grant cycle' field to 'grant catalog'
Anytime you process a grant, we noticed that the pay schedule and funding information would all of sudden disappear from the grant and we would have to reenter the information. Apparently, when you select an item from the 'grant cycle' drop-down before post/approval, it erases this data because it assumes you are using a 'grant catalog.' Why isn't that field called 'grant catalog' if that is actually what it is referring to? Since that field is called 'grant cycle' we have been using it to track what internal cycle that grant is associated with. Why are these labels different? And…
7 votes08-04-2023- Site: In order to align the terminology with the function, all references to Grant cycle have been changed to grant catalog.

Delete Automatically Generated Grant Letters
We need someone without permissions to edit checks to be able to delete the new automatically created grant letters. Permissions to edit checks are limited to our Finance department but it is our Grants Manager who would edit a grant letter if needed and would need to be able to delete the automatically generated and attached grant letter. We would much rather have the grant letters be able to be deleted from the grants permissions as that's where they are created. Even if that means deleting it from multiple grants. Please change this to allow someone without Finance permissions to…

Renamed the left hand menu item within document bucket, from Send Documents to Process Documents Vouchers: Added the create checks option back to the left hand menu. Templates: Added the ability to disable grant letters when using a check template that has the grant letter on it. This is a new checkbox on the check template No Grant/SShip Letters.

Better Layout for User Experience of Grant Catalog Features
Our foundation recently started using the grant catalogue publicly, meaning that it is going to have many projects added to it that public donors will be searching to fund. Currently, the view is not very user friendly and write ups appear in a very small column that is difficult to sort through for a user.
I'm proposing introducing a "Card View" where you can show 2 or 3 cards per column, and each card has information like:
- Image
- Organization Name
- Project Title
- Short Description (short excerpt from the full description)
- Request Amount
- Amount Funded…

Grant Letters - Word doc batch option
It would be nice to have the option to correct grant letters in a Word doc batch like we used to have. The pdf option is nice, but it requires having perfect fields and templates. Our small foundation could benefit from the option to spot correct.

ability to make grant documents shareable with fund advisors
I'm (finally!) loving the new process for generating grant documents (e.g., letters that we send with checks). Our Fund Advisors ask for copies of those letters to be uploaded via the portal so that they see exactly what the charity sees when the check arrives. (It also gives them comfort that we actually sent the check.) Currently, I scan each letter and attach it as a shareable PDF at the grant level. Now that the system automatically attaches the letter at the grant level, it would be great it I could simply mark that as shareable without having to upload…
6 votesThere is an option to share an attached a file to a grant. Attaching a file to a grant and then clicking Share will share the file with all fund advisors who have access to the Grants tab on the fund advisor portal and are advisors to the granting fund.
