  1. Create text message two-factor authentication option for donors. (Many are not savvy enough to figure out Authenticator.)

  2. Some of our Fund Advisors are confused by the "Login with email" option on the Fund Advisor Portal. Our Fund Advisors' usernames are their primary email and they click the "Login with email" thinking that is how they log in. They get to the next screen and are asked to "Verify your pin". Could you make the "Login with email" either editable, with an explanation or give us the option to remove it. Anything would be an improvement!

    • 3/19/2025:Portal Options: Added the ability to disable login with email. This new setting is located in Portal Options > Portal Settings > Settings: Disable Email Login. This will allow users to disable the email login feature for the Portal. For each Portal designation, there is a new left-side menu called Donor Access, Grantee Access, Student Access, Vendor Access, Advisor Access, Customer Access. These reports will give users a report of profiles by email address. This will help users have a quick audit of profiles with shared emails.
    • If a profile is a user, email login with not send a pin.
    • THINGS TO NOTE:
    • Portal - Donor: If donations are tracked on household profiles, rather than individual profiles, add donor designation to individual profiles that will need to view household donations and enable "show household donations" in Portal settings.
    • Linked Org Profiles: Once a username and password have been created for…
  3. The Recognition Name is not shown as a column on the Contributions tab of the Fund Portal. When the information is exported, the Recognition Name is shown, but that isn’t something that a fund rep is going to do every time they access the portal to look at donations. Donors are misled into thinking that the Recognition Name is being shared with the fund rep, when, in actuality, the fund rep has to make an effort to find it. Can this be added?

  4. Grant approvers - When assigning grant approvers, consider a system that ensures fund representatives or primary fund advisors do not approve their own grant requests. There should be a way to mark requests that require approval. For example, if parents designate their children as fund representatives, the children can request grants, but the parents must approve them. However, parents should not be required to approve their own grant requests.

3/11/2025: Portal-Fund Advisor- Added donation comment to the donation export, if Show Donation Comment is enabled. Updated Grant Request to display address and primary contact for organizations. Added file attachments to display for primary approver and resolved an issue with the file not displaying on the grant. Removed the approval for the primary approver to need to approve their own grant request. Updated the Fund Steward name field to pull from the mailing label or the name to be consistent with legacy portal.

  5. We have links we want to add on the Fund Portal to be accessed by logged-in Fund Advisors.

We love the new header content fields for the various tabs, but would it be possible to add another field that appears across all pages on the Portal (above the tabs) when user is logged in?

The current Fundmanager_header field displays on the login page so can be viewed by anyone (alongside Edit Profile link, which doesn't make sense as user isn't logged in).

  6. Although the current fund advisor portal element of the C-Suite platform does offer fundholders the opportunity to make grant advisements, the process is not very engaging and the design appears to the user as more of a back-office accounting process, rather than an engaging user experience. This is resulting in limited use by fundholders, resulting in more manual processing in the advisement and accounting work required in approving the advisements and processing the grant payments. Do others feel that you would benefit form a more engaging fund advisor portal experience? We appreciate all that C-Suite does for us, we are…

  7. Rename Unsubmitted Grant Requests to Grant Cart ... people are used to having a cart. Right now we have to check the "list cart" to make sure donors aren't leaving intended grants in their cart. Also, any thoughts to send emails to donors if they have an unsubmitted grant in their cart to remind them? Like you receive if you left something in your shopping cart?

  8. Please link donation notes so they are viewable in the donor portal. It is labor-intensive to have to compile all the notes for a particular fund and send them on to the fund founder. We recently had 168 gifts made in a donor's memory and had to pull these into a separate file to share with his widow.

  10. Our old software isolated recurring grants in the donor portal which was very helpful for the donors/fundholders. It would be great if the donor/fundholder didn't need to scroll down on the grants tab to view recurring grants in the middle of multiple rows of grants listed but instead have a separate tab to "manage/view recurring grants".

  11. Can the "Fund Advisor" section when viewing a fund be renamed to "Donor Portal" to more accurately reflect it's function? We have different levels of Fund Advisors. True advisors, statement recipients only, etc. Not everyone connected to a fund is a Fund Advisor which creates confusion within the system.

  12. When a fund advisor logs into the fund advisor portal, is it possible to not list the other fund advisors for the fund?

On endowed funds, beneficiaries receive statements/have access, and I would rather not have one beneficiary know who all the other beneficiaries are.

Fund Advisors do not display in the new Portal. Enhancements to the legacy fund advisor portal will no longer be considered.

  13. We have 4 Staff Members who are also Fund Advisors. Currently, we need to have 2 separate user profiles for them because their work email is used so that they can navigate and process in CSuite/GLM. Their other CSuite profile is used with their personal email so that they can navigate within the Fund Advisor Portal.

It would be nice if there would be some type of profile/user merge that would allow them to use one email address or the other so that we only have 1 profile entered in CSuite.

    For example: 1 CSuite Profile - 2 email addresses…

  14. One of our Fund Advisors had an excellent suggestion. If fund advisors are making several grant requests through the portal at once, she suggested an option to make several grant requests where the fund advisors could see all of the grant requests as they add them with a running total to be able to review them all at once before submitting. This is especially helpful when fund advisors like to do most of their grantmaking once a year and have a spendable that they are wanting to track. It would allow them to make the most of their spendable instead…

In Portal Options, in request options, there is a setting to enable a Fund Advisor Cart. That should satisfy this request. Here is a link to the Portal help article that outlines how this works. https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/23506423778455-Fund-Management-Tab-of-the-Portal

  15. On the Fund Portal at the top the text says Fund Advisors for anyone who has access. This is confusing as many people with access are not Advisors (for example statement recipients for Designated funds). Please change this text to say something like Fund Access. This label is causing some of our people with fund access confusion about what level of access/advisory privileges they have. Fund Advisor is a specific term for Donor Advised Funds.

  16. The new "cart" feature for Fund Advisor Grant Requests in the latest new release in the sandbox is nice. However, it seems there could be a possibility that a fund advisor has multiple grants sitting in the "cart" and not realize they need to go further to actually submit them. If they try to logout with unsubmitted grant requests, there should be an alert to the fact they have not submitted them.

    • The following was released yesterday to update the Fund Advisor cart workflow:  Fund Advisor: Enhanced the Fund Advisor area to have a new left-side menu called List Carts. This new menu will display any fund advisor grant request that has been created but not yet submitted to the foundation. This table will display the created date, fund advisor, Fund/Org, Amount, Grantee, and the Description of the a grant request. On the Fund Advisor Portal, we have updated the menu above the unsubmitted grant request to Unsubmitted Grant Request. The button for the cart option has also been updated from Review to Review and Submit Grant Request, to help the Fund Advisor process the cart. On the Review screen, Fund Advisors will now see the grantee's primary address as a quick way for them to confirm that they have selected the correct Grantee. If the Grantee is creating from Guidestar from…
  17. When an advisor is using the portal to submit a grant, there should be a dropdown list to choose who should recognized for the grant among approved advisors for the fund.
**This would be helpful for a child managing his parents fund or an assistant entering grants on his boss' behalf.

There is an option in a Fund record to allow additional advisors.  This is found in a fund record, under the settings tab.  This can also be done in bulk.

Here is a snippet from the Fund help article:  Allow Additional Advisors - Allows fund advisors to make grant requests on behalf of other advisors.  This does not need to be selected to have more than one fund advisor setup on a fund.

  18. Love the new card view for the Grant Catalog. Would love to have this same view for the Fund Manager portal as well so when a fund advisor logs into their fund portal and clicks the Grant Catalog link, the catalog would be in card style like the donation portal of Fund Listing, Grant Catalog, Events, and Nonprofits since we don't use Stripe.

  19. The graphs on the fund advisor portal are great....except that we do not share donation amounts with the fund advisor. If you hold your cursor over the graph for donations, it shows the amount. Could we have the option to turn this off? Or have more options about what we could have on each portal? It might be nice for some just to have their grant history. The graphs are very impressive & we think our advisors will appreciate the visual.

    Released 5/30/2024:

Funds: Enhanced the Hide Amounts on Funds for all donations. On Fund Statements, if the Hide Amounts is enabled, the fund statement will no longer display individual donations in the foreach donation section. The total donation amount can still be displayed in the receipts section, if it is used on the fund statement template. Hide Amounts on a fund will remove the Top 10 Contributors graph from the Fund Advisor Portal, if the Show History On Portal is enabled for the fund. Contributions by year line graph will still display. Users may want to remove the donation(contributions) tab permission from the fund advisor portal.

  20. Continue to show grant as "in process" rather than "paid" until the check is actually posted.
