The option to edit the label or remove "Login with email" option on Fund Advisor Portal
Some of our Fund Advisors are confused by the "Login with email" option on the Fund Advisor Portal. Our Fund Advisors' usernames are their primary email and they click the "Login with email" thinking that is how they log in. They get to the next screen and are asked to "Verify your pin". Could you make the "Login with email" either editable, with an explanation or give us the option to remove it. Anything would be an improvement!

- 3/19/2025:Portal Options: Added the ability to disable login with email. This new setting is located in Portal Options > Portal Settings > Settings: Disable Email Login. This will allow users to disable the email login feature for the Portal. For each Portal designation, there is a new left-side menu called Donor Access, Grantee Access, Student Access, Vendor Access, Advisor Access, Customer Access. These reports will give users a report of profiles by email address. This will help users have a quick audit of profiles with shared emails.
- If a profile is a user, email login with not send a pin.
- THINGS TO NOTE:
- Portal - Donor: If donations are tracked on household profiles, rather than individual profiles, add donor designation to individual profiles that will need to view household donations and enable "show household donations" in Portal settings.
- Linked Org Profiles: Once a username and password have been created for a profile, a user will no longer be able to login with email and pin. To ensure that individuals can access records tied to a related organization profile (their business, place of work, etc.), link the individual to the organization profile and set appropriate permissions. This will allow the user to change between profiles as needed to access information related to each profile. It is recommended to set linked profiles with username and password.
- Portal - Profile: New Portal users without a password set will be able to view and access all profiles that share the same primary email. To prevent users from "changing profile" and accessing tabs that should not be available to them, use one of the following options to secure a profile:
- Disable Email as Login in Portal Settings, provide a username to individual, and request password change
- Remove shared primary emails - review using new reports found in the left hand menu of designation tabs in Portal Settings.
