Donor Portal - rename it in Foundant to Donor Portal from Fund Advisor
Can the "Fund Advisor" section when viewing a fund be renamed to "Donor Portal" to more accurately reflect it's function? We have different levels of Fund Advisors. True advisors, statement recipients only, etc. Not everyone connected to a fund is a Fund Advisor which creates confusion within the system.

There are IRS implications for people attached to a fund being called Fund advisors. Changing the name of this portal to something else is desperately needed. Also, we have financial advisors who manage the money in funds and we are always having to clarify which "fund" advisor we are talking about.

Please, please, please consider "Fund Portal" rather than "Donor Portal". More than 1000 individuals in our database have portal access who are NOT donors; they are nonprofit staff or board members who are stewarding a fund but are most certainly not donors.

I agree that not everyone using our Fund Advisor Portal is a Fund Advisor. In our communication we send when inviting someone to the Portal, we call it the Fund Donor/Fund Advisor Portal to help avoid that confusion, and list the reasons why the individual is receiving the communication (ex: Fund Advisor, original Fund Donor, beneficiary of fund, etc)

I like the name "Fund Portal" so it is not confused with "Donation Portal."

I was not going to vote on this because we do not like the term Donor Portal as it is too close to Donation portal, but if you read Julie's comments below. Fund Portal makes more sense to us.

I agree with these comments! It is confusing inside and outside the community foundation and would make an enormous difference. A similar idea is posted here: https://bit.ly/3srYZru

I had put this request in a long time ago. It is not only confusing for donors but staff as well that do not work with data every day to see someone noted as "Fund Advisor" but they simply receive the fund statement from the portal.

We're running into challenges with people who have access to the Fund Portal (for example people who receive statements for Designated or Field of Interest Funds) being confused by the fact that C Suite lists them as "Fund Advisors" on the Fund Portal when they don't have advisory privileges.
I'd suggest calling it the Fund Portal - it's about access to the fund, not necessarily donations. Not everyone who has access to the fund is a Donor. Most importantly though, please update the label at the top from Fund Advisor to something like Fund Access.
I created an additional Idea Lab post about this label here: https://idealab.foundant.com/forums/597718-communitysuite-idea-lab/suggestions/46988734-change-label-for-fund-advisor-on-portal-not-ev

This would most definitely make this less confusing. Right on the front of the fund advisor portal when you are on a fund it lists all the "Fund Advisors" on the front page and it is super confusing. Our statement recipients for designated funds are not always a "Fund Advisor" but get called one in CSuite because they need to receive a statement.

This would make the process much less confusing!

OR Fund Advisor Portal would also help. Just something to indicate that it's associated with the Portal.
