I would still also love to see this come to reality for the SLM - communication proves to be especially difficult with some graduating seniors (more so those who are entered manually due to school selected scholarships for funds we host). It is difficult to get a quick response through email in the summer months. To be able to send a message via text to students would be super helpful (and save my personal cell phone from having to do it). If there is any more movement on this, we'd love to know about it.

We've built this into our award acceptance & follow-up form, and provide clear guidelines for the expectation of what should be submitted (including who it's addressed to, what information to include, proper greeting and closing, etc.). Then we include an upload field - encouraging them to complete their letter within a .doc or .pdf format and then uploading it (to help ensure good formatting and grammar/spell check capabilities to minimize errors). That way we're also able to download and print them to share with donors easily. If what we've asked isn't initially received, the form is marked incomplete until the items to be adjusted or that are missing are included in the form. It helps us to maintain accountability with the recipient for the scholarship award. I understand this may be adjusted on a case by case basis depending on the nature of the scholarship/award. We build the 'follow-up form' on the information we need to ensure integrity in each process. I'd think you could edit the "follow-up" to be just the guidelines and either field or upload for them to include the thank you letter if that is all you need. (It would at least help you in the short term until another solution comes available.)

It would be most helpful if I could upload an attachment directly into an email template, instead of having to back out to go into the email attachments tab and uploading it there, before having to go back into the email template and check the box when it finally populates on the list. Can the upload button be added into the template attachment section like it is now within the attachment section when I sent a one-off email? I'd like to have it all preset and save the extra step when I open a process. Need time savers wherever I can have them, minimizing clicks.

Bumping this back to the top of the list - when we have multiple processes running (just increased again this year, in the 30s) and 550 active applications, we need a better way to keep the numbers accurate and moving things through the process clean and as efficient as we can. Please limit them to one application start within a process and change the button to "Continue" on the apply page (as it appears in the dashboard) or direct them to the dashboard. Without clear direction (even with my very regular emails to applicants at start and through the process, plus the warning messages set) there are students who have started 2-3 applications within a process....and then submitted each of them complete. This gets messy when getting all of these applications connected with reviewers and causes delays. There either needs to be a limit of one application to start and continue per process, or a way to merge multiple applications. The first option would be less messy and time consuming. Thanks for considering this.
