charity check
There is a discrepancy between GLM and CSuite charity checks. When a private foundation applies it 'passes' the charity check unless you think to check in the Publication 78 box. When you run the same org in CSuite, a more obvious charity check message about their private foundation status displays. It would be helpful to have a more clear way of flagging private foundations within GLM before applicants get further in the process.

This is very important for our foundation. Not everyone has access to both CSuite and GLM. If the grant team runs the charity check that passes in GLM, they will continue to process the request. Once it gets to the finance team and it does not pass, it makes for an awkward conversation between departments and with an applicant. It should be the same level of review in both systems to prevent extra work for a grant that cannot be paid out.
