Recurring Donation Posting Date
Currently when a recurring donation is posted, it uses the donation date as the date of the planned recurring donation. However, if the donation is actually posted a few days later, the actual donation date should be used, not when the recurring donation was originally scheduled. That creates a timing/reporting issue especially at year end. For example, if someone has a recurring donation scheduled for December 30 but it is actually paid and posted on January 3, that should be a donation in the new tax year, not the old one.
