    It is not unusual for our Trustees to approve grants at the LOI stage. Our usual way to approve these is to move the LOI to the application stage, then complete the form on their behalf, with "dummy" answers for the required questions. We then proxy in as the applicant to submit the application. Then we can finally approve.

    We've also tried setting up new processes so that we can copy the LOIs into Application-only processes without required fields. This really didn't seem to save much time either.

    Would truly love an easier way to approve an LOI!

    Hi Everyone,

    Touchbase around this idea as we start to think about handling saved searches.

    I like the idea of the last ten results as a saved search, however, are there other examples of saved searches.

    Would it be help to save a search on request & decisions with certain criteria? For example Request Status Approved with in the last month.

    Also, would these saved searches be Foundation wide or user specific?

    Hi. Commenting again in hopes of having this considered again.

    Sammie, as a small foundation, it would be fine if the searches were foundation wide. However, I can see why larger orgs would prefer user specific searches.

    The ability to search with certain criteria would be nice, but IMO not crucial.

    When we are preparing for a Grants Comm or Board meeting, we are "in and out" of the same organizations' info several times. It would be a real time saver to have a list of recently accessed organizations available.

    Yes, please! Recently searched or recently modified (in case they were accessed from the dashboard).

    Hi Lauren. It's not exactly what you're looking for, but the new ability to add custom fields to the Org page has helped us with this. We now have a "Flag" field. It doesn't create a pop-up box or show a special symbol, but it's much more noticeable than a comment. You can ask Support to make it Administrator only so your applicants can't see it if you wish.

    This would be such a great feature! A flag or exclamation point that shows up in a search and/or a pop-up box that opens when the org summary page is viewed would be so helpful!

    I just wanted to give an update that I think we are part way there on this request.

    You can now add custom fields to the Organization & User Form. Therefore, if you reach out to support you can have them add Nickname as a field you can capture.

    That said the piece of this being an email merge field is still on the roadmap so I will keep you updated as we continue to roll out functionality around the organization and user custom fields.

    Hi Minerva,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    We have recently been discussing the idea of adding task items to GLM.

    These could be actions to assign to yourself or other users in the systems. This seems like it would accomplish what you are looking for but would love to hear more feedback from you and others.

    I agree. This would be helpful in many ways. One example - we print out packets for our trustees before site visits. I would be great to get a reminder X days before each site visit to verify all the necessary info has been submitted and is ready to be printed.
    Assigning tasks would also reduce the need for conversations about which staff member is going to put together a recommendation and which one is going to review a follow-up report.

    Thank you for weighing in on the other side of this suggestions.
    Do you want to control adding people OR if there was an email to the site administrator when a change was made would this be helpful in your situation?

    Hello. We have had at least one instance of someone overwriting a previous user. We would very much like to see a warning at the very least, if not an option to block updating a user name.

    Hi. I had the same thoughts as Karen. I think perhaps a better solution would be to have an option on email templates to "cc primary contact." I can see more than more reason this would be helpful, for single emails or for batch emails.
    I do think there is value in the collaborator role, assuming the person assigned as a collaborator would be notified when the role is assigned.

    Hi Debbie,

    This is something we’ve discussed internally. Our idea at this point is to allow administrators, within an organization’s record, to added comments coded as different types of communication (such as phone call, in person visit, email), etc. This would not be int he same section as the current comments are, but it would be more of a communication-manager.

    That said, we haven’t gone into a lot of detail with this yet. If you have more detail you could add to your suggestion, I’d be grateful to get a better idea of what you have in mind.

    Hi Julie,

    Thanks much for the suggestion. Internally, we have discussed something like this to help improve access to documents as we have realized it can be a pain point for users. I really appreciate the details you provide here in the suggestion – that definitely helps me understand more completely what you’re looking for.

    I’m not sure when we may be able to tackle this, and I can’t promise that our implementation will match exactly what you’re proposing, but I do think we need to start considering adding something like this.
