  1. Hi all,

We use the "Add Comment" feature all the time to give our applicants feedback on their LOIs. We then have a box on our application form where we ask the applicants to reply to these comments and questions that we leave on their LOI.

While this has been convenient for us in general, a number of applicants have a tough time finding our comments (despite the fact that they are now blue).

It would be great if our applicants (and us) could see all comments on a form at a glance.

To that end, could you possibly add…

  2. We would like to see more space allowed for attachments to one application. Currently it maxes out at 25 MB. We get to that size very quickly with our attachments (one example application listed below), and often applicants complain that they don't have enough space to upload their financials (too many pages; reducing the size makes it grainy and hard to read) or support materials (too many pictures; reducing the size makes it less of a "support" - less pretty).

  3. I think having a way to export GLM entered contacts to my Outlook contacts would be very useful and a time saver. My Outlook contacts are automatically synced with my iPhone, so having some sort of way to export GLM Organizations and Users to Outlook would make my travel and work life much easier, especially when I am doing site visits and need to make a phone call to a GLM entered contact.

  4. Currently, we have to go into each follow-up individually to open the attachments (example: grant budgets), but we can run a report of all the questions. It would be nice to have a way to run a report that downloaded all the attachments as well, instead of just the name of the attachment.

  5. I would like to have the option to batch delete abandoned

requests -- it’s tedious having to delete them one by one. Could this be an

option listed at the bottom of the “Search Requests & Decisions” page? I

can understand not wanting folks to accidentally delete other items on this

page. With this in mind, could it be built to only appear as an option when a

search is done for abandoned requests?

  6. I mentioned this in the discussions with Development Session but wanted to officially submit this idea.

When I do a search for specific criteria I get a list of search results. I usually need to make an edit to each one of those records, but after I do the first one, I can't click the back button without an Document Expired message and click on Try Again and Resend. It would be helpful to have a Return to Search Results button in the record (in the same way you have Return to Application Submitted) to save the clicks back or…

  8. It would be great if an accounting/checkwriting software could be incorporated or integrated with GLM. To be able to award a grant and then have the amount merged with something like Quickbooks so that checks can then be generated would be a real time saver. At the present time, this is the only part of our grant process which must be done outside of GLM.

    Thanks!

  9. Hi Chris,

We're enjoying the comment field enhancement within the application - great update! In fact, we're enjoying it so much, we're wondering if there's any talk of having this enhancement extended to the evaluators as well? We'd love it if our evaluators could make comments within the application while they're doing their review work. This would serve as a useful tool when we're on our committee conference calls and during site visits.

    Thanks for your consideration.

  10. We often give to organizations who in turn fund other individuals (actual grant recipient) in separate locations. It would be great if we could have both the general organization info as well as a place for contact info for individual recipient. Sometimes, we even give to one organization with multiple grants, each eventually funding different individuals around the world. I am somewhat new to this so I may be missing something...

  11. It would be great to have a few customizable options before a report prints to PDF. Among those: 1) TITLE: currently prints with the root data set (ie COMMITMENTS): can it at least print with the REPORT NAME as the title, or, even better, with a customizable header? 2) LANDSCAPE v PORTRAIT 3) Color Scheme: Even a set of 8 different color schemes could be really helpful to not have to re-format before, for instance, a board meeting. The grey is ok, but being able to pick the foundation colors / more presentable gradients would be great. 4) Margins /…

  12. Now that I've reviewed a few applications, I think it would be helpful to allow Administrators, Board Members, and evaluators to view uploaded pdfs in another window, rather than having to download them individually or download the entire application packet. That way an evaluator could immediately view the attachment and not have to worry about finding the file and opening it after downloading it.

  13. I really like the new feature where an organization's grants are listed chronologically (most recent on top). What I would find really helpful would be to move the tab for "Enter Grant" to the top of the section so I don't have to scroll down to the bottom to enter a new grant. I also think that perhaps the tab should be moved to the right of the page like the view, edit and delete buttons.

  15. We want to send decision notifications to the primary contact for an organization, usually the organization top executive, but also want to notify the applicant, either by a copy of the email or by sending it to both. That is not currently possible with batch email because it defaults to the applicant, so in instances where the primary contact and applicant are different, batch emails cannot be used for these notifications.

  16. Hello,

I am creating a report that I want to sort by the date/time of submission. We assign file numbers in the order grants were received. As staff begin to mark submissions as "complete," they are asked to assign a file number to a staff assigned field. I want to export a report of applicant names in the order they were received to an Excel document. There I can enter file numbers, and staff can reference the Excel document to look up file numbers.

Unfortunately, it does not appear that there is a report field for submission date. Can you…

  17. Hi everyone,

I'm the new kid on the block, client #491. :)

I'm wondering if Foundant has given thought to including twitter and facebook IDs into the registration page for organizations?

I've found that interacting by social media has been a great way to get a handle on what's happening in a charity.

    Many thanks,
    Mark

  18. I'd love to be able to customize the URL to our grants portal.

Right now, I feel silly saying to our grantees: "You can access our grants portal here: https://www.grantinterface.com/Common /LogOn.aspx?eqs=ph_BjRFP96u-8PaY4j7weg2."

It would be nice if there was a way to change this to a nicer URL like " http://www.grantinterface.com/rihumanities. " We can do this with our facebook page and eventbrite events...why not our grants portal?

  19. I would like to see a "Comments" or "Notes" field added to User records.

There are a number of interactions that we have with Users that we have no place to record information about, such as when a change in contact information has occurred (I can currently record the new information, but I would like to keep the history about the old information and when the change occurred), also notes about our interactions with this person, or their role in the organization (ie. they are an assistant to someone, etc.)

  20. I searched and didn't see this in the idea archive. We receive a lot of compliants about character count. I am guessing character count gives you a better estimate of space needed but folks are accustomed to using word count for other applications. I think word count is the norm.
