  1. In our process each applicant receives at least three reviews from three different evaluators. It would be nice if I could randomly assign evaluators to the applicants. I currently do this by creating an excel file with the applicants on the vertical axis and the evaluators on the horizontal. I assign each applicant a number and use a random number generator to assign the applications each reviewer is expected to review. To be able to do this quickly within the GLM system would be great. I know some of the competitors provide this option.

  3. In the GLM, I often use the Request History tab of an organization in my work. I would really like to be able to see a column with the amount of each grant request from that organization even if the grant was denied. Additionally, I believe this "Amount Requested" column would be helpful for both approved and denied grants because sometimes our board approves of only a portion of the requested funds.

    Thank you!

  4. It would be helpful to have the option to move, make bold, or otherwise highlight the Evaluator Descriptions which appear under the scholarship name when an evaluator is reviewing an application in SLM. It is easy to miss the Evaluator Descriptions where they are now and it would help to have them stand out and be more visible/noticeable to evaluators during the review process.

  5. When an evaluator uses the Process filter on the dashboard, completes and saves an evaluation form, then clicks the Next Pending Evaluation button, the next one may not be from that filtered Process. Please make it so the Process filter pulls through to when the evaluation forms are advance to the next request.

Also, it would be much better for evaluators if the sort by organization on the dashboard would pull through to when they go into evaluation forms so Next Pending Evaluation button takes them to the next request that is alphabetical by organization name.

  6. Hi! I'm writing to request an update to the SLM/GLM reviewer experience that is regarding the cybersecurity of our scholarship and grant applicants. Currently, reviewers within the SLM/GLM can choose to either view or download scholarship or grant applications or the documents uploaded within them. For scholarship applications, these documents include things like FAFSA reports that include personal financial information. For grant applications, that could include things like tax returns, audits, and budgets.

I would like to request an update to the settings for Reviewers to be able to be given "read-only" access, meaning they would only be able to…

  7. We would like the option to Rank Order applications during Evaluation in lieu of giving a percentage score. For example, if there are 30 applications, only 1 application is given #1, one application #2 and so on. This option would be much easier for our Reviewers. In some cases, it is their preferred method of scoring.

I posted this idea 5 years ago and it is still an issue for us.

  8. I would love an automated email to administrators for GLM/SLM for a conflict of interest question. That way we can see it and assign another evaluator. We shoot for a certain number of reviews of applications and if someone has a conflict of interest we would want to assign a different reviewer for that application.

  9. It would be wonderful if you could assign across processes within the universal application after an application is in the "evaluation assigned" bucket. I often have reviewers who are unable to complete their assignments and I have to manually reassign hundreds of individual applications. This functionality is so helpful in the "complete" bucket.

  10. For one grants cycle this year, we received 222 eligible applications that then are reviewed by 86 reviewers. We frequently get a large number of applications and reviewers, although this year is the biggest one so far in a long time! We assign reviewers to different panels, which are groups of people who all review the same applications. We make these application/reviewer assignments outside of Foundant, but it would be really helpful if we could group applications/reviewers by panel in Foundant. Without it, we have to send out communications manually basically, going back and forth to an external Excel document…

  12. I really need a way to remove an applicant without "abandoning" them or "denying" them. If I deny, they find out they didn't win the award. If I abandon, it goes to their request history, and then they can see it and email with questions. There are times we just need to remove them. An example would be: Our donor's evaluate, and one year there was an applicant in the pool for her son's memorial scholarship, that had bullied the deceased son. She came to us, and we needed to remove that applicant. There are instances where we just need…

  13. Not sure if this should be form building or reviewing, but the default now when editing or reviewing the UA and other processes is when you open one question group, the other collapses. I would like to ability to have multiple or as many question groups open as I want at the same time, in case I'm trying to review items/questions between them. I understand some people may want to only see one at a time, so making this a setting would give admins an option to decide which way they prefer.

  14. We have renewable scholarships and ask the students to fill out a shortened version of the application for their renewal award. We just had a student fill out their shortened renewal application, but when I went to review it, there were internal admin-only questions that were already answered! I double checked the process and they are listed as internal so the student shouldn't have been able to see those questions so how was he able to answer them?

It turns out the student used the Copy Process feature to copy answers from his original application to help him fill out…

  15. Currently we can add two custom columns to the Your Evaluations tab for our evaluators, but when the evaluations are closed and we allow our evaluators to see all the closed evaluations prior to our Board meeting, there is no way to add custom columns on that page. We do not review the grant applications by alpa order of the organization or project name. We assign grant numbers and will review the grants in that order. When we get to our meeting, I have to export and create a spreadsheet for our evaluator trustees to use to follow along with…

  16. Ability to individually close an Evaluation stage, when you are using both Evaluation stages. For example, Evaluation 1 is to be completed, and "locked down" so the Evaluator cannot change their answers when they are completing Evaluation 2. This impacts the "integrity" of the review.

  17. t would be great if you could see the request history tab when evaluating an LOI, instead of having to navigate to the organization.

  18. We have recently had an issue with some partners not submitting reporting(like over a year overdue) and then cutting off all communication with us. Per our grant making policy this makes the organization ineligible for funding until the previous grant contract is fulfilled(meaning we get some type of report or account of grant monies.) We are looking at the idea of seeing if it was something that could be implemented to have a box or button that is able to be clicked on(toggle on and off so once they come back into good standing that goes away) an admin side…

  19. We need side-by-side columns for our evaluators so that they can see how their individual application score compares to the group of evaluators' average score. Only the person in the admin role can see the average group score. And, if the admin is also an evaluator, things get messy quickly in a meeting. An admin/evaluator can never see both their individual score column and the average score column without flipping between roles. Having the ability to see individual scores and average scores on ONE PAGE in side-by-side columns will greatly help with our evaluation meetings and enable us to make…

  20. Our board members who review grants would like to be able to create their own report that would show their comments for each applicant, so they could print these and bring them to the review meeting.
