Group collapsed on applications
When an applicant returns to the application to resume work, the groups of questions could be collapsed and if all questions within the group are complete - the group could be flagged (with a check or a color change). Or, have an option to allow the admins to create the applications in pages, which can be flagged as complete when all questions are filled in on that page.

Our applications and forms have a lot of sections. It can get tedious to scroll through a really long application or have to collapse each section one by one. Can there be a "collapse all sections" function added that will let you collapse all sections in an LOI/application/form with a click of a button?

I would like to be able to expand all or contract all the forms with a simple button. This would make forms easier to see when working on them.

I have the exact same issue on our applications. All collapsed or the ability to set sections to collapsed will help everyone understand where they are in the application.

In addition to asking for the option to default to collapsed sections upon returning to an application, it would be very helpful when clicking on a new section to open it, the default should be to open at the first question in that section instead of at the bottom of that newly opened section. Right now our applicants are scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. They keep asking us to tighten it up, otherwise they want to go back to working offline.

When a user goes into any form, could it start out having all sections collapsed, except for maybe the instruction section? If not, a "collapse all" button would be great.

Great idea! On all forms would be even better.

Hi Gayle,
You're absolutely right that the applicant's status page is, at least for a lot of applicants, pretty lengthy. When we initially designed this part of the system, we simply didn't anticipate that applicants would have so many requests to a given funder.
I'm hesitant to just start collapsing each of the requests as that could be confusing for some folks as well. But I have been talking to a number of users about some potential redesigns of the applicant's dashboard. What I would prefer to do is to step back and look at the overall intent and functionality on that page and come up with a design that addresses not just the issues with the number of requests, but also things like being able to more easily see which requests need follow ups submitted, which have been closed and can essentially be ignored, etc.
As we make some changes to the user interface (UI) over the next 6-9 months, we should also start to have more screen real estate to use to implement a better applicant dashboard.
If you are interested in weighing in on potential redesigns, let me know. We obviously can't run every change past every user, but in cases like this where the change could be more significant, I really want to make sure we get some input first.
Thanks,

We have been using GLM for some time and many of our grantees have very long histories. They are asking us if the "application status page" could be set so that the grants are collapsed rather than expanded when they open this page.
