Be able to create and assign a series of tasks to a profile.
Feature Suggestion: Task Set Automation with Relative Due Dates
I'd like to suggest a feature that would allow users to assign a predefined set of tasks to a donor with a single click. These tasks would have relative due dates based on the date the task set is assigned. For example:
Task: Send thank-you letter
Due: 1 month from task assignment
Task: Share copy of signed fund agreement
Due: Immediately or within 1 week
Task: First reporting update
Due: 6 months from fund establishment
This would be especially useful when a donor gives a gift or establishes a fund. I follow a consistent checklist of tasks in these cases, and being able to automate the assignment of this task path would save time and reduce the risk of missing key steps.
Ideally, the system would allow users to:
Create and save reusable task sets
Assign the entire set to a donor record with one click
Use relative due dates (e.g., “+30 days,” “+6 months”) rather than fixed calendar dates
Would something like this be feasible within the current CSuite framework?
