  1. I recently discovered that marking a profile deceased did not prevent donation notification emails from being sent to this fund advisor. Knowing this now, I will always delete a deceased profile's fund advisor access as well as marking their profile deceased. However, it would be very helpful if after a profile is marked deceased, the system would refer to that and not send any automated emails to that profile. Thanks for considering!

    Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement.  Foundant is excited to take so many of the User submitted ideas from idea lab and make them happen in the software.  Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.

    The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed.  This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns.  With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header.  This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record.   Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well.   3. It would be nice to know when the last time the sandbox was synced. It could be a simple status line System Data. Better yet, maybe something that everyone could see, like in the red "this is your test site" line - "this is your test site (mm/dd/yy)". But having access to it anywhere would be great.

  4. All dollar amounts in any report should have commas and decimals. It is difficult to determine $10,000 vs $100,000 at first glance.

    There was a new option to create custom categories for reports released on 5/6/2023.  Please review the release note below.  This could be an option to create a favorite report category.


    Custom Reports: Enhanced Custom Reports to have a Save As option. This will allow clients to start with a report and make changes without losing that report. When saving a report, clients will now see a description field. This field can use this to create a description of the report which will be visible in the Custom Report list. In addition, there is now a new column for the creation date of the report. This will allow a User to identify when the report was created. A relative week date filter has been added. Selecting this filter will return data based on a Monday-Sunday week.

  6. There are many posts about commas being included on reports and various fields but there are still many areas where commas are still not appearing in numbers....VOUCHERS being one of them. We are working with very large numbers at the end of month. It is difficult to be sure you have entered something correctly when there are not commas in the field. See the attached screenshot of the field where the number should be 13,767,068.59 but appears as 13767068.59. This should be a systemwide standard that there are ALWAYS commas in numbers. we should not have to keep pointing out…

Our Foundation is concerned that including interfund grants in our total grant amounts artificially inflates the numbers because the same money counts as a grant both going between funds and again when it's granted out. It would be great if there were a filter option so we could easily filter out interfund grants when we pull grant reports.

  8. Please make the Fund Advisor login NOT case sensitive. Many donors are accustomed to entering their emails with various mixes of upper and lower case characters. All fund advisors emails in CSuite appear to be lower case. The donor portal interprets a case difference as a different email and does not allow a login, or a forgot password email to make it through. This is causing lots of issues with our fund advisors.

    • 5/7/2024: Summit Idea Lab Live-Financials: Enhanced Financial Reporting to include fund attributes in the raw export. These fields include: fund groups, subgroups, division, segments, agency, with donor, supporting org, DAF, affiliate, investment strategy, investment strategy id, created date, close date, endowed and track spendable.
  10. When creating profiles, it's very tedious that you can't enter the type of address or type of phone number and have to create then edit again.

    This is especially tedious when you're uploading 200+ profiles using the profile import and have to manually go to each profile to set the address or phone number type. At the very least, having it be a field for importing profiles would be nice.

  12. Attaching/uploading a copy of the actual bank statement directly to the bank reconciliation file created gives all the documentation needed at all levels of this process. The "Attach File" option is available in other transaction processes within CSuite...bank reconciliations should be included as well.

  14. Please add the Spendable Balance field to the list of available fields in the Fund - Custom Report. We have several custom fund reports that we could produce directly from CSuite if we could add that current spendable amount also. As it is, we must export and either merge with the spendable field from the fund balance report or manually enter the spendables into our Excel spreadsheet.

  15. It would be nice to have the ability to "template" a campaign or copy a campaign when they are yearly (or more often) occurrences. It would be beneficial not to have to rebuild ticket types, prices, sponsor levels, etc. from scratch when you are working with a reoccurring event.

    4-5-2023Campaigns:  Enhanced the campaign workflow to help with the tracking of events and mailings.  Each campaign will now be associated by type.  Campaign types are event, marketing or historical.  The assigned type will drive different campaign functionality.  A campaign categorized as events, will allow a user to create tickets, groups, and requests for the campaign.  Marketing will be used if the campaign is intended to create a mailing list to communicate with donors and other constituents.  Historical will be a way to move completed campaigns into a separate list for campaigns that are no longer being used by the foundation.  Campaigns will still be managed by user defined categories and can be archived within the category list.  The campaign page has been redesigned to have a bucket system just below the event information and image at the top of the page.   16. Oftentimes when creating a new fund, we won't want to charge an admin fee for the first quarter after the fund is initially set up. However, there is no option to choose when to begin charging an admin fee for a new fund. Currently, we either have to leave off the admin fee of the new fund and remember to return after charging the quarter's admin fees to add a fee code or we have to go ahead and add the admin fee on the new fund at setup and remember to review the list of new funds before charging…

    6/7/2023: Admin Fee: The following enhancements are now available for Admin Fees: the ability to set funds in bulk to an admin fee type, an option to add a note to an admin fee, and on manual admin fees, the ability to select the receiving fund and accounts. The ability to create a manual admin fee is now an option in the left hand menu on the admin fee page.

    Also enhanced the fund record’s Admin fee section to have a start date field.  This start date can be used to enter a starting date to begin processing admin fees on a fund. The start date will look at the admin fees posting date. For example, if the fund’s admin fee start date is set to 1/1 and admin fee posting date is 12/31, it will not charge that fund for that admin fee.

  17. It's nice being able to see on the screen gifts given by quarter and year. However, it would be nice to have an option to see the entire grant history on the screen as well. And if we could also sort the rows by column headers that would be great. That way I could sort by grantee name and quickly find the information I'm looking for.

  19. Recently, I've noticed a change when entering gifts/grants, and I'm not sure whether it's an anomaly or a change that was made. When I tab through fields in a gift or grant entry, the tab used to only go through fillable fields. Now, the tab stops on the question marks by the field name. This almost doubles the number of clicks/tabs I need to make each entry. Any way to set this back to the way it was? Thanks!

    Donations: Enhanced the yearly tax receipts with an option to print by household or individual based on filtered list.  Also, renamed the pdf attached that is emailed to read YearlyTaxReceipt, instead of the date range. Release Date 11.17.2022
