Application Page Format Hacking
The application page for our users has been a source of confusion even among, presumably, sophisticated users who are neuroscientists. In particular, the question we get is, "Where do I click to apply?" (We add a number of links to our process description which, admittedly, does not help.)
Currently, there is great (now even greater) flexibility in how the process descriptions are formatted. However, there is no similar love for the process title. It would be nice to make the process title – ultimately, the link to the actual process application page – to stand out by being in bold or in a larger size.
For those who do not want to wait for this to be implemented, I have managed to take advantage of how the application page is rendered – a hack, if you will. To make your process title stand out you need to start at the end of the previous process description and finish at the start of the process description for the title you are formatting.
For example, to make the process title bold faced, go to the process manager and select the process right before it. In the process description, type the Foundant HTML start tag for bold, <strong>, at the very, very end. When you save your process, that code will, unfortunately, disappear. [This was a lot easier before the GUI formatting bar.] Next, go to edit the process description for the process you are formatting. At the very start of that process description add the closing tag, </strong>, and hit save. Now, when you go to "apply" you will see the process title in bold.
How about that first process? Well, just create an empty process with a short title – I use a period "." to keep it unobtrusive as possible.
Check out the https://app.box.com/s/975wwa7ypbxctgfg1vpp l for the codes to use. I have not yet been able to get the new formats to work like for increasing font size, which are <h1> and </h1>.
In sum, my idea is to allow formatting of process titles and also to allow users the option to see the underlying HTML code...like you can in this community.

Oops, yeah I meant the process names. I'm not even sure why I said 'title.' Thanks for checking!

Hi Jim and Owen,
Thanks for the suggestion. Sorry I've been slow to respond - the suggestion makes total sense. We'll take a look at making this bold and a bit bigger in the next couple releases.
Owen - just so I'm clear, what do you mean by "... the title links"? I'm assuming you mean the process names, but "title links" sounds different.
Thanks,

I agree. I would love it if our process names could stand out more. Thanks for sharing your "hack."
I would especially like to be able to increase the size of the title links. I haven't been able to get the h1, etc. tags to work either.
