Follow Ups Export: Include Due Date and Received Date
I want to send an email to Follow Up Reports that are past due. So I run an export, but it does not include the fields "Due Date" and "Submitted Date".
From the Dashboard, you can see the "Due Date" in the Follow Up Drafts screen. You can also see the "Submitted Date" in the "Follow Up Submitted".
It would be a BIG help if these fields were also included in the export. I've had to resort to creating a manual field, which means more work for me with each grant. Since GLM is already recording the info, you would really be saving me some time and accuracy.

Hi all,
Given the addition of "Due Date" and "Submitted", I'm going to mark this as "Implemented".
Thanks again for the input and comments - definitely helped us as we worked on this.

Adding Export to Excel (anywhere possible) is always a good idea.

Hi all,
Thanks for the input - it's certainly understandable. We recently added "Due Date" to the Follow Up data export. However, due to the way Data Export is implemented (for performance reasons), it's really difficult to get the Submitted date as well without causing unacceptable performance issues. That said, we are looking at reworking Data Export for a variety of reasons (including being able to save certain export configurations). It's not something that is really high on the priority list, but when we get to the point we can look at it more closely, we'll definitely be considering how to make Submitted Date available.
In the meantime, it sounds like the simplest thing to do would be to add the "Due Date" to the Follow Up Submitted page that you can get ot from the Dashboard. If both the Due and Submitted dates showed up on that page, would that satisfy your needs?
As an aside, we're also looking at adding "Export to Excel" functionality to a number of the workload grids (like Follow Ups Submitted). The grids themselves are already mini-reports, and we thought if we could add some data to the export that is not displayed on the screen (like contact and organization data, including address and email), an export would be useful. Any thoughts / feedback on this?
Thanks!

I like this idea.... I do the same thing. And our auditors (gulp) require this info so I end up doing a print screen thing for them. Much easier to just have it available via download.

Karen - I agree completely! I also have to follow up with late reports, so including the due date and received date makes perfect sense. - Lyn
