Editing Editing multiple users at once (such as cities, states, and countries)multiple users at once (such as cities, states
For one of our live sites, we realize that we did not limit the state or country fields for when applicants are registering a new account. This has led to multiple of our 700+ applicants' contact information having different contact information formats. Some have written "MA", "mass", "Massachusetts", "United States of America", "US", "USA", and etc. It would be helpful if there were a way to edit multiple (or even all) users' contact information. This would especially be helpful when we are doing mail merges and need the addresses and labels to look presentable.
On a similar note, it would be extremely helpful if we could require that users enter their contact information with proper grammer and capitalization.

Natassja,
Great suggestion and not unlike the one I suggested to be able to cross-populate from reports back to the database. As a work-around for you, I export the report data to excel and make it all consistent within excel and run merges off that data.

Hi Nastassja,
Thanks for the suggestions. I can appreciate both the mass edit concept as well as requiring more correct information in the first place.
In terms of a mass edit, at this time it's not on our product roadmap. We have talked a bit about improving the consistency of contact data, but right now, there are no plans to change things in the near-term. It's not going to fall off our radar as it is something that would benefit all our users. As we pick off some of our higher-priority work, we'll probably be able to spend some time evaluating each of these ideas and see if they can be slotted into a release.
Let me know if you have any questions,
-chris
