Sorry for the delayed response. This Idea Lab item was kind of lost in space, as Keith put it, but we've brought it back to Earth.

And there's some better news ... with the upcoming 3.7.0 release, we have implemented a change that will allow an administrator to mark a particular evaluation stage as "Shared" so that other evaluators in that same stage (either Staff Evaluators or Board Members) will be able to see other evaluations while they are still "Open."

Note that this will work in conjunction with the "Anonymous" evaluation setting - so if an evaluation stage is marked as both "Anonymous" and "Shared", evaluators will be able to see the other evaluations but not the names of the evaluators.

This should be in our Demo environment this upcoming week, along with a lot of other updates. We will be sending out some additional training announcements, so please keep an eye out so that you can get the most out of our most recent upgrades.

Last Foundant staff activity was December 2011 promising results. Does this delay mean raymond and this idea are Lost in Space?

I agree more flexibility on who sees what would be very helpful as well as a read only option. Could there be an option to make each type of review public or private?

Staff reviews we'd like to use two ways:

a private review for staff members, as mentioned above - using the same form as the board review but not part of the overall score calculation and not visible to board reviewers.

site visit reviews that would be individuall assigned and visible to all

Board reviews we'd like a option to either be

Open throughout the process so Grant Review Committee Members can post comments to each other as they go.

Closed as it is now

I have two committees one is interested in keeping their evaluations private and another committee that would love to share comments the entire way. I expect over time both committees will want to be able to see each others comments throughout the process.

Finally I would like a read only option for our real board members so they can read proposals, history as proposals work their way throught the stystem but not be part of the evaluation process. Is this possible now?

Our needs are the opposite. We like that board members have to give their opinions first, then the collaboration happens in the grant review committee meeting, and people change their minds. My problem is that our staff won't use the staff evaluation feature because they don't want the board members to see their comments and disagreements with each other. It would be great if we could make these setting changes so it works for all of us by allowing each of us to set them as blind or open, or something like that.

I believe the solution mentioned by Amity is possible. I've given her a call to discuss and we'll post the results once we know more. In the meatime, I'd love to hear others ideas on collaboration for evaluators. I think this is something we'd like to support better at some point. Thank you!

I talked to a newer Foundant user who told me that if Board members are designated as "staff" then they can see each other's responses in real-time. I need to confirm that with Foundant folks and have been playing tag trying to set up a call. We'll see how it goes...

This is exactly what our board members have been asking for as well. I believe there were some good suggestions at the Philadelphia user group meeting. I look forward to seeing those solutions fleshed out.
