A User to Rule Them All
I know I have heard of this idea before (was it you, Chris) and couldn't find anything in an Idea Lab search so here it goes-
It would be nice if we had the option to set one organizational contact (probably the primary contact) to be able to see all of the grants, report, etc. submitted on behalf of that organization.
I guess there could be situations where you would want to be able to keep things in separate boxes, like with affiliate organizations, universities, etc. but if the option was there, that would be really nice for those of us working with programs that are using grant writers, volunteers or staff to write proposals.
And yes, I have read/viewed a little too much J.R.R. Toikien.

Hi Amy,
Hard to have too much Tolkien ... :-)
Yes, you have heard this before - could have been from me, but it's also in the IdeaLab in a couple places. Here's a link to the most active dialogue ... though I need to update that one as well:

As I note there - I think it's a pretty reasonable request and I can certainly see the value. One concern that has come up is, as you note, it's something some organizations could have real issues with. It's something that I think we could work through ... instead of using ED or Primary Contact as the person who can see everything, we would probably add something else to make it very explicit ... and we'd probably make it so that a foundation Administrator had to explicitly give access.
After you read through the linked idea, feel free to provide more feedback and we'll see where the discussion goes.
