Search Bar for GLM
Adding a global search bar in GLM that allows administrators to filter across all requests, decisions, organizations, users, applications, forms, emails, and notes by keyword would significantly improve efficiency and information retrieval.
There have been many instances where my President has asked for a list of grants related to specific initiatives or geographic areas - such as homelessness, hunger, substance abuse prevention, utility assistance, Smith Lake, or camps. These types of searches often can't be fulfilled by simply entering the name of an organization, user, or location. Instead, I’m left to manually comb through grant notes and entries from previous years to find relevant information.
Introducing a keyword-based search function would allow users to quickly locate all instances where a specific word or phrase appears across the system, saving valuable time and ensuring more accurate responses. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance accessibility and streamline the research process for internal reporting and strategic planning.
Hello!
Our first iteration of a global search was made available in the February 2026 release. In this release, you can search by organization name, user name, and project name.
We recognize this does not get as granular as the initial request for keywords and emails. We will continuing to evaluate to solve for those scenarios as well and encourage you to create a new idea lab submission with that feedback.
Thank you for your partnership
