Nominator Role
Need the ability for someone to nominator another person or organization to receive a grant. The nominator is not the recipient but needs to initiate the application. The recipient will receive the award and will need to be assigned follow up forms.

Yes! Here is another use-case:
It would be ideal if this feature/role enabled third-party nominators to submit a nomination on behalf of a student or individual, which then serves as the first stage of a multi-step process — similar to a Letter of Intent (LOI). Once submitted, the nomination advances the nominee into the pipeline, where they take ownership of all subsequent steps: the full application, award forms, and any follow-up materials.
This would be particularly valuable for competitive awards (such as "Person of the Year" recognition) or scholarships where candidates are nominated rather than self-identified.
The nominator's role ends at submission; from that point forward, the nominated individual is the primary applicant, tracked and managed through the system independently of the nominator.
In short: The nomination functions as Stage 1. Successful nominations unlock Stage 2 — a full application owned and completed by the nominee.
