Grant Award letter fields needs {{today_nice_date}}
Doesn't make sense to format a letter without a date! I am unsure if that word date field would update or not
8 votes5/24/2023: Templates: Added today_nice_date merge field to the following templates: invoice, checks, grant award letter, grant letter, internal grant letter, scholarship, yearly tax receipt. Added the grant award letter to have the advisor mailing label use the first last name, if there isn’t a mailing label filled out. Added advisor household label the grant letter template and the apply to spendable to tax receipt.

Fund Advisor Portal - Grant amount on 'Home' vs 'Grants' tab
The 'Total Grants' amount on the Home tab differs from the total of the grants show on the 'Grants' tab because the 'Grants' tab includes scholarships and the home tab 'Total Grants' does not. Would like to see those amounts match for the Fund Advisors

delete closed tasks
Ability to delete a closed task -- if you enter a task on the wrong record or attach it to the wrong opportunity and don't discover it until after it's been closed, you cannot delete it or transfer it to the appropriate opportunity or get rid of it altogether.
10 votes9/11/2023: Tasks/Opportunity Tasks: Added the ability to edit completed tasks. Users will now see Edit as an option in the left hand menu on a Completed Task. No Update to Permissions.

Allow File Categories Not to be Collapsed
I don't like the new Categories sections for attached files. It's not convenient to have to click on the Category first before you can see the file now. Please make an option so the Category is NOT collapsed.

Household yearly tax receipt
We would like to see the ability to run yearly tax receipts for donations for a household even if donations were added to individuals within the household separately. It would be nice to have the option to combine donations.

Add Fund Steward to Donation Reports
We would like to be able to pull the Fund Steward's (staff) name into donation / donor reports so that we can filter reports based on the fund steward instead of the profile steward. This allows our staff to monitor donation activity for their set of funds.

More informative titles for browser tabs
Like many folks who work on computers, I have several tabs open at once; Community Suite is a program where a multi-tab working style is well-suited. However, the title tag (what's displayed at the top of the tab window) for CS isn't very useful. All the title tags begin with "/erp/", so with a certain density of tabs, they all look identical. This is a missed opportunity to make things easier for CS users.
I'd propose a page titling system which at minimum could refer to the CS area being displayed (e.i. Profiles, Donations, etc). It would be great to…

Tributes should be flagged somehow when there is similarity
For online gifts, one donor calls the honoree Dr. Joe Smith, another, Joe Smith, yet another Joseph Smith...currently, that makes 3 completely different tributes, when it's the same person and the same person or family for a memorial should get notified...that's a hot mess. Also, is it fair to assume we in the position of entering a check gift would know that there is an existing tribute?? In my clicking I learned that you can merge them, but really...perhaps you could combine the two fields and if there is an existing tributed person they would pop us and we could…
8 votes8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.
The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item. This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field. This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.

Add Stripe customer link as field in merge profile page
When you are merging two profiles because of a duplicate it would be great if the StripeID customer link field was populated on that page so you know which profile the stripe payment is attached to so that information is not lost.

Denied Grants on the Fund Grant Report
The ability to have denied grants in Csuite is helpful. However, if one custom report is the only place you can get the information, that isn't helpful. When a grant report is run from a fund, those denials should show there. Also, it would be most helpful for the fund advisors to see these denials as well.
4 votesGrants: Added an new option to deny an unposted/unapproved grant in the new bucket. Once a grant is denied, it will automatically move to the complete bucket and be included in the grant list in a grantee profile. Denied grants will also be included in the grant report for a fund. Denied grants will not be visible in the Fund Advisor Portal. Once a grant has been denied, there is a left hand menu option to remove the denial.
Currently, they will not be displayed in the FA portal.

Promoted Funds - End Date
It would be very helpful to have the option to put an end date on a fund promotion so that they would come off the promoted funds list on the donation page automatically. Many of our promoted funds are for memorial gifts. As a practice, we generally leave a fund on the promoted list for 1 month after the passing of the individual being remembered. Yes - we can make dated task reminders and calendar reminders but it would be great if the system would just do it.
5 votes8/2/2023: Funds: Updated UI to align with look and feel of profiles and campaigns. The fund record now has a header which contains the main fund information and is available on all tabs. In order to organize fund information and limit the left side menu options, the following tabs have been added: Details, Relationships, Settings, Fund Statements, Files & Notes.
On the Details tab, clients will see the main details of the fund such as: short name, creation date, fund groups, and the fund assets sections. We have also moved budget and loans, from the Options settings to Details card . Reports are still located on the Detail’s Tab, but have all been grouped under on left hand menu: Reports. Once Reports is selected a new page will appear and all of the Reports will appear in the left hand menu.
On the Relationship's Tab clients will find Scholarships, Beneficiaries,…

Allow filtering by Closed Funds when searching for transactions
It would be helpful if, from an account, when searching for transactions, the ability to filter for a closed fund were possible. We tend to need this information for audit related items and any funds that closed during the year are frustrating to get to the relevant information.

General Ledger: Added the ability to search closed funds through the General Ledger. There is now a new checkbox next to the Fund field Include Closed. This will allow clients the option to display closed funds in searches.

Remove profiles option for campaigns
The option to remove profiles by filters in a campaign was removed in the campaign update. We use this feature for our mailers to remove deceased and do not mail profiles. I think the Remove Profile option should be added back for campaigns.

Org Roles Sorted with Active On Top
We are not clear how the sort order is established for Org Roles / Profile Links. We would like to see Org Roles sorted with "Active" Org Roles followed by Inactive.
For example, we add links to our current and former board members. We would like to see our current ("active") board members at the top.

Add a Total Number RSVP/Attending Column to Campaigns
Many of our campaigns are made up of households or organizations that don't include individual profiles so the campaign is not able to give us a true RSVP or Attended count. We are forced to maintain a separate sheet for an accurate head count.
47 votes4/5/2023: Campaigns: Enhanced the campaign workflow to help with the tracking of events and mailings. Each campaign will now be associated by type. Campaign types are event, marketing or historical. The assigned type will drive different campaign functionality. A campaign categorized as events, will allow a user to create tickets, groups, and requests for the campaign. Marketing will be used if the campaign is intended to create a mailing list to communicate with donors and other constituents. Historical will be a way to move completed campaigns into a separate list for campaigns that are no longer being used by the foundation. Campaigns will still be managed by user defined categories and can be archived within the category list. The campaign page has been redesigned to have a bucket system just below the event information and image at the top of the page. Each bucket will then trigger different left hand…

New Check Workflow: filter by checking account
In the new check workflow, when you are on the payment screen of open vouchers, it would be REALLY helpful if there were an option in the filter function to filter by checking account. Currently, I need to have two windows open side-by-side to be able to select the right checks for each batch I'm creating and this would greatly simplify that process.

donation types
It would be nice to be able to deactivate Donation Types. We have some that are no longer relevant, but we don't want to simply delete them as it impacts the donations connected to them. It would be nice to have the ability to deactivate them so those donation types don't appear on the drop down when entering new gifts.
3 votesDonations: Added the ability to mark a Donation Type Active. This new functionality is located in Donations, Donation Types and Active column. Checking the Active next to the Donation Type will list the Donation Type on the Donation during creation or edit.

Advisor Field on Recurring Grants
Currently, recurring grants only have the advisor field populate when the request is created through the donor portal (which is great!), but if we create a manual recurring grant, there is no way to set the advisor on the recurring grant level, and still have to manually edit this on each occurrence. It would be great to have the advisor field on the recurring grant record itself that would carry over to each occurrence.
4 votes10/12/2023: Grants: Added the ability to add a Grant Advisor to Recurring Grants on creation or edit. This will allow foundations to create Recurring Grants with an Grant Advisor in the backend, instead of having to login into the Fund Advisor portal. Recurring Grants will now populate the Grant Type, Template, and Service Area once the grant has been created. Grant Type and Service Area will populate from the Grantee Record and if there aren't any from the Fund Record. Any Grant Custom Fields will still need to be completed on the created grants.

grant letter template
There should be a way to include all funds a grant came from (multiple funds). We can set the total grant amount; but if it's coming from multiple funds, it will only pull one fund name. Currently, we have to edit it in Word. We have many grants that come from multiple funds, so this is very time consuming. If we can do this on a check voucher, it should be able to be done in the letter.

Default Payment Type
In the new Profiles update on 5/3/2023, I changed the Default Payment Type to Electronic on a profile, but once I saved it, the field still appears blank.
